Absolutely love the updates. As I start my 4th Food Forest I’m seriously considering leaving our irrigation system out of my 5th Food Forest. I always thought after 2 years I would stop irrigating anyway.
Desert farming is very important in Australia . Surprise me that they don’t do Permaculture Gardening, which is very similar. The water storing system is the most important thing . We in Melbourne have it much easier . Jet very similar problems with very poor soil
I can’t disagree about golf courses being a waste of land! 😂 The Lightning Ridge golf course is a dirt course, with no irrigation and no water traps. Golfers typically carry a square of astroturf around to hit from. The putting “greens” are compacted black soil patches. No grass in sight. It’s wild.
