Thank you for showing us how you started and created such a beautiful and bountiful garden 💚💚💚 After being inspired by Alex @dreamsofgreen I’ve just finished planting the start of my food forest, and your story has further inspired me on filling out the layers and using the space I have to grow more food. Your comments on the time needed to process the bounty is also a good point to make. Plus having heaps of mulberries to eat sounds like heaven 😊😊😊
Do you get quite a bit of rain? We just had a really dry summer...4 months with out rain. Makes starting my food forest a slow process as we are on tank water so can only use a little water to keep things alive.
Hi Lisa thanks for the message. Yes we have had good rain of late. Where abouts are you located? When I bought the property, it was so dry, hence why I put in mini swale system and mulched the heck out of the beds. Good rainfall does help. :)
I am in Tasman NZ near Motueka. It has been the driest year in quite a while so hopefully won't be the norm. But our summers are always fairly dry and without rain for several months.
This video came up in my feed today and as I was listening I was thinking he sounds like this guy: ua-cam.com/video/3jh1481J6qw/v-deo.html obviously some changes in the interim Andrew! An inspiration then, and great to see the growth of both you and your new site!! Keep up the good work!
Hi Jared Yes you are correct, it is the same guy, me. I moved back to Australia after the passing of my Dad and a marriage bust up. Life can throw is in different directions but as long as we have the land, we can be healed....

Do you need to water the bananas extra to maintain within the system?
No, no need to water the bananas at all. YET!
