Excited to see what the new Halo game is, when the last major Infinite update drops Ill of course cover it.
(btw we might get forge content drops still, but major dev updates will probably be over)
ofc mini blitz
I think the falcon we will get regardless but the shotgun was never update in 2 years still the exact same as of currently so no shotgun
@chasitypersinger7157 the shotgun was actually in a log toward being added though, right? 343i confirmed but never happened? I don't remember about the falcon.
Exactly, no matter what 343 and Microsoft does going forward, we will always have the modding and forge community 😎. Kings/Queens!
@@Izooky The shotgun was barely worked on and scraped very early in halo infinite's development but the falcon has being updated and is basically finished now it is the waiting game now for the falcon to release
Man, I don't really care what Halo games come out next, or who's making them, I would just like it to be less depressing to be a Halo fan.
Well the end justifies the means right?
Real
Agree they wasted 10 years of highly possibly good halo game by not making them but focus milking money.
@rkmason- I totally agree. I’m sick of telling people I play halo and them asking what that is😭
stop playing halo then thats what i did
The only thing that was 'Infinite' about this game was the wasted potential.
Nailed it.
So much for the 10 year plan 😂
@cooliipie the engine was just to hard to work on man. It was a nightmare
🤣
👍
Crazy to think how a game that was marketed as "Infinite" had so little content and was so limited. I really wish that in the next game (maybe even in 4 years), they will finally understand the nature of halo. In campaign, a multi-biome experience, combats from small encounters to full scale battles with vehicles, mission based but with a high replayability (due to the big sandbox). In multiplayer, it's simple: SOCIAL. Halo has always been a social game. We had pre and post lobbies, we could see the armour and stats of everyone, open mic... For a game that promised billions of customization options and that relied its finance on the commercialization of cosmetics, how come you did not have a pre and post lobby to see the armours of other players? This game felt lonely
It's like I wrote this myself, I couldn't agree more! The campaign did feel so lonely, and only having one terrain made it so boring. Having to drive around to the same types of missions was repetitive and laborious. They cracked the formula twenty years ago, it shouldn't be so hard now.
Shoulda been Halo Finite lol. Jokes aside, you really hit the nail on the head here mate. It blows my mind that after 4 games, 343 still doesn't understand what makes Halo special and unique. It's crazy that they've never once stuck a single landing with any of their games. The fact that Infinite was marketed as a Halo experience that would be supported for at least 10 years... when we all saw what really happened is both flat out laughable and also sad. It's as if 343 is unofficially admitting their colossal screwup. To crap out what they gave us at launch, spend 2.5 years getting it a place where it's remotely decent, only to just call it a wrap and move on is insane. Here's to hoping that they've truly learned from their umpteenth mistake
I understand your opinions but
*HOLY MOLY THE YAPPERS OF YAPPINGTON*
*10 year halo. Enough content to keep you playing infinite for 10 years, and by that, they mean we'll just give you forge and some barebone content and call it good enough, lmao, how bad some of these games use live service as a scape goat is such bs.
And they said that Halo Infinite was going to be the platform of 10+ years of Halo content
Well they will keep it running probably. Like halo 1,2,3. Halo 1 in 343 world is a live Service Game that is running since 2000 lol
@nocomment6421 To me, content is consistent updates with good stuff. Sure Halo Infinite will probably exist for 10 more years, but it's gonna be dead in terms of content by the end of the year it seems
I think that all of the issues under the hood with the engine it came out with probably didn't help them make good on that promise. The foundation was cracked from the beginning, as it were.
They always say that. I'd much rather devs be honest and say something like "We're gonna work on this game hardcore for 4 years with continuing updates and DLC but after that we'll keep the servers online while working on the next game."
@BackflipsBen 343: "We're gonna drop a half-assed game on you, get angry when you get angry, dripfeed what was expected of us over a four year period, go back on just about all our promises, then give up"
A halo game called infinite, lasted the shortest amount of time out of all the halo games
What does "lasting" mean here? As in "the time it gets actively and periodically updated"? Because in that sense, the Bungie era games didn't last at all, before maybe MCC.
It has lasted the same amount of time as every game pre MCC. Ce-4, every game “lasted” only 3 years. So if anything, this is more of a return to form than anything.
yup😂
@@thenullduckcrazy that we waited 6 years for infinite. The time between H5 and Infinite was pure torture. All I wanted was the new halo game, and they delivered this.
Halo 4 might have come close.
This is like the third death of this game
So this game will die infinitely?
1. When the broader gaming scene left it.
2. What's the second one?
3. Today when it seems like 343 is finished with it.
The game is going to have other deaths until they announce the next halo.
1. When the last update for the game drops.
2. When the last match is played after the servers are shutdown.
3. When the words "Halo Infinite" are spoken for the last time.
CU29 is thr 2nd one
The minute 343 announced that they were moving away from actual seasons, I knew it was over for Infinite.
From the minute they announced it was going to be open world with a season pass, I knew it was over for infinite
people insulted me when i told them i was concerned about the game, since it was a classic pattern with live services ending support, they told me i was being a downer and the game would actually benefit from dropping seasonality
@@ch33zyburrito36 seriously. when they started dropping nostalgia bait, i knew infinite would be another flop
I have a funny "it's over" gif, but UA-cam doesn't allow to post pics. So imagine I posted the funny.
It's Joever
is it the one of master chief from the halo 3 "believe" commercial where hes held by that brute and his head goes down and it says "its over"?
@@JohnStevens-23rd No, it's a guy hanging on his underwear from ceiling and slowly spinning.
@@Baloo106 oh… HAHAH 🤣
What a pathetic end for Halo Infinite, Really the "new" vehicle they added was the fork lift that not even in the forge menu TWO DMRs they could of just added a magnum and kept the scope bandit. There is so many things they could of done to improve this game instead of just cutting tail and run. They don't even give out SP for completing matches, just a stupid daily. They really need to look what went wrong and maybe stop focusing on ESPORTZ and focus on fun.
dmr was highkey the most boring weapon they could have added as well. And the forklift... instead of the falcon... nice one
It's sad that halo infinite didn't last an infinite amount of time
Didn't even last half a year actually.
The second they announced it would be a "platform" for future development and live service updates I knew we were DOA
I think its a good thing, good riddance i can only hope the next halo game dosent disappoint but who am i kidding i shouldn't keep my hopes up.
@@AbjectTestament.😂😂
H5 had longer longevity in hindsight
The franchise isn't rapidly changing, it's rapidly dying.
I wouldn’t call being on a downward slope since 2012 “rapid.”
If true, the Halo Infinite wasn’t sent out with a bang. It was sent out with a whimper.
And with a whimper, I'm fucking spliting, jack.
Oh no! my precious shop updates
3 steps forward 43 steps back
Damn true!
Cant wait for Halo 7: Microtransactions
It will be the best Armour collection game in the world....ah and yes there is a Robot guy called master cheeks or Jimmy rings
I hate the idea of a new game personally.
I hear ppl say that they are exited for a new game because it could be better, but what would stop them from making the same mistakes that they are currently making. Not even just the launch failure, but development and ongoing support failure. A new game woudlnt fix much IMO but I guess we will see
Halo fans excited for the next Halo are like domestic violence victims who go back to their partner for 8th time and for a new round of inevitable mistreatment. Stockholm syndrome is rough.
@@TheTeddyGuy28 Agreed with this. 343 has a proven track record of ineptitude and not understanding what truly makes Halo special. It's crazy to think that they've never once stuck the land with any of their releases. Each one has a hideous stain on its legacy. I'm not getting my hopes up for the next Halo, but I'll reserve the tiniest sliver of hope that 343 has finally learned from their umpteenth mistake, unlikely tho lol
This is my same concern. Infinite is actually in a really great spot now as far as content and features. They just need to re-launch it and get another big marketing push to bring attention to it again.
If the rumors are true that future Halo games will be switching to Unreal Engine then I'm definitely concerned we'll just have the same problem with a new game launching that's not feature complete.
@@Dryvlyneno amount of relaunches was ever going to revive this game and make it mainstream again moving away from infinite was the only choice they had, whether or not they actually manage to make a good complete game this time well it remains to be seen
@@LKNear I'm not sure about that. MCC turned out to be quite popular after they fixed the game. I think Microsoft just didn't want to put more money behind Infinite which I can understand given the long dev cycle. Anyway, let's all hope the next game finally has a proper launch.
My brother in the Great Journey, this game ended the second they cut support after Season 5.
Lmao I like how you said “My brother in the Great Journey” 😂 but yeah i can’t believe Microsoft killed their beloved Xbox exclusive
Halo Infinite was so incomplete it felt more like Halo 5.5
Hopefully whatever we get in the future will be a true Halo 6
As I said on a prior video. That was a fast 10 years.
I’m feeling really burnt on Halo, especially infinite. I don’t know that I can bring myself to buy the new campaign whenever that game comes. I think I’m feeling betrayed by the devs. They’re not caring for the things that I’ve valued about Halo, and that’s disappointing.
Do you not know that 343 has changed and they are getting really experienced devs and people who love halo and using the unreal engine so we will have scarab fights
Also infinites campaign is a banger. Don't know what planet you live on
@@ctspoafarmCan you provide facts with the claims.. because right now I'm not seeing any of the positives you speak about 343.
@@ctspoafarm I’m going to assume all your statements are sarcastic. Please clarify if otherwise.
@@ctspoafarm I played through almost all the halo campaigns multiple times and I totally understand how you enjoy the campaign
But honestly, halo 5s campaign and infinite were boring. I didn't beat either of those two even once.

Man that “10 year plan” for infinite sure payed off
I'm still waiting for Halo Infinite's full release.
My guess is Halo Infinite will stop updating after the last HCS tournament
At this point they’ve ran this franchise into the ground so many times I have zero hype left for Halo. Sad times
The moment they said they had to stop working on campaigns coop to focus on content for the multiplayer I knew it was over and it was reconfirmed when they said they were dropping the multiplayer story cutscenes. I genuinely believe that 80% of the content 343 has added was either already into development or already planned by the old management
The Halo game that took place on Zeta Halo. Arguably the most important Halo in the entire series, had repeated interiors, no different biomes, no FLOOD ON FUCKING ZETA HALO. Instead we get introduced to a new species we didnt want nor ask for. The only good thing about Infinite is how good the sandbox is. The dropped the ball on armour, on the store, the BPs etc.
Halo community has basically written the book on what next steps 343 needs to do to make us happy that they hardly even need to think about it. They just need to implement and next time around, release a finished damn game. With that said, I will always love Halo.
Whatever happens to the series going forward, I hope the core gameplay of Infinite informs future Halo games. It's the best Halo has played since probably Halo 3. We just need the next game to have more weapons and more abilities, to be feature-complete at launch, to have a matchmaking system that isn't so goddamn sweaty for unranked play (i.e., a loosening up of SBMM), and to not be so aggressive with the MTX. I'd also prefer a return to discrete campaign levels with definite beginnings and ends rather than another open-world.
I hear “Spartan Surplus” and I think oh cool we’re finally gonna get new weapons
No
Just more cosmetics
There is no hope
The frustrating thing about the Halo series is that Bungie and Ensemble Studios added new content each game, for a bigger vehicle, weapon, enemy, and aircraft sandbox each and every time. They did swap some things out on occasion--the assault rifle was swapped with the SMG and Battle Rifle, the Spirit was swapped with the Phantom, the Halo 2 Scarab with the Halo 3 Scarab, and the Spectre with the Prowler, the Halo 2 Brutes with the Halo 3 Brutes, etc. One oddity: The Shadow, Enforcers, and Halo 2 Bosses never came up again.
Halo 2 was bigger than Halo CE, Halo 3 was bigger than Halo 2. Forge, Theater, Four-player co-op, 16 player system-link, Co-op Theater mode, etc. Then ODST added a second campaign, and Firefight to Halo 3. Then Halo Reach came along, and suddenly all of the Flood enemies were removed, Scarabs were removed (except as background objects), everything that Halo Wars made was removed (Grizzlies, Vampires, Vultures, Gremlins, Hawks, Rhinos, etc), co-op Theater was removed, the Spectre/Prowler was replaced with the Revenant, the Hornet with the Falcon, the Albatross was removed, and the Brute weapons were removed. 343 Industries was involved in the production of Halo Reach.
With 343 Industries, the only additions they've made to the sandbox is the Mantis (removed in Infinite), the Phaeton (removed in Infinite), and some generic weapons I can't remember the names of (Hydra, Void's Tear, Heatwave, Electrical Zapping Thingy, Spike Projectile Launcher). Everything else, such as the Wasp (swapped out the Hornet/Falcon/Phaeton), and the Prometheans (Crawler, Soldier, Knight, Watcher, Warden) is a replacement for something they've removed (infection form, combat form, pure form, drones, juggernaut), but they've removed so much more (campaign theater, co-op theater, offline play, secondary campaigns, etc). The one thing they have done is add multiplayer bots, so I can boot up the game ten years from now when the servers are dead, and play multiplayer. Yay.
This makes each game feel small.
Rip assassinations and spartan smash 😢
I agree with this it feels like 343 just regresses the general quality of their games and it's not something complicated or difficult to do at all really they should've looking at the formulas and making a better version of that.
One thing in your comment halo reach still had the brute spiker and the grav hammer but h4 and h5 did remove to only the grav hammer in multiplayer.
I’m pretty sure the certain affinity halo project isn’t real anymore
I used to be so proud to be a Halo fan and now I'm embarrassed to even talk about the franchise.
343i: we want to be more transparent
Also 343i: doesn't say shit
The last time we were told we were getting 10+ years of content, that was Destiny to Destiny 2. We all know how the 2nd game went.
Math teacher: Infinity means it never ends.
Me: Halo Infinite?
A good way for the next Halo game to not be playing catch up is for 343 to port forge into the next game. All while continuing to update forge along the way. Heck 343 should make a forge app separate from Halo Infinite and have options to create maps in every Halo game moving foward.
With enough updates, Microsoft can have their own little Unreal Engine in their hands.
I'm making my fucking own halo
Stopped playing this game since hell divers 2 came out. Not sad too see this rocky ass game go, I had fun but nothing like HD2.

Halo Infinite was a disgrace. If they do not learn from this disasterous failure of a game, the franchise is dead.
How it started: "Halo Infinite is just that... It's Infinite! Infinite customization. Infinite possibilities. This is the Halo experience you'll love playing for the next 10 years!!"
How it went: "Sooo uhhh.. yeah we kind of just crapped out this game and we're sorry it's partially broken and content dry.. but we promise to fix it!!"
~2.5 years later~
How it's going: "we're looking towards the horizon beyond Halo Infinite! But before we go, take a look at this nice and shiny $38 cosmetic bundle!!"
what a joke lol. I am here for it though, ultimately. It's time to move on. Let's just hope 343 has learned after their umpteenth blunder
3 steps forward, 43 steps back.
You think they will learn?
It isn't even all that complicated to brainstorm a viable halo game.
I was obsessed with Halo since the beginning. I loved doing the Coop Campaigns with my Cousin throughout the years. This was the first campaign that me and him just stopped maybe 20% into the campaign, looked at each other while trying to find another cache for money to buy another expansion for our armor, and said, "This sucks! WTH are we even doing?" and just never played again. It depresses me. Thank god theres at least "ODST The Game", I mean Helldivers 2.
You all really believed 343 after all their downfalls. Be embarrassed for yourselves
It’s a bummer since the game didn’t even really fully release until like a year ago
As a long time halo hardcore fan since H2. I haven't opened halo infinte for atleast a month and i am still not going to
Same. Just Went back to MCC and played 2, 3, and Reach instead lol
@@CargoShorts7I dislike CE so much, extremely clunky level design and physics. Finally: broken Rocket Flood.
@@saricubra2867 stop being a big wussy. there's probably 3 rocket flood max. the level design is sharp, and the only physics that feel bad relate to jumping.
@@icespeaker81 Halo CE repeats the same rooms over and over again that gets boring and tedius quickly. Halo 2 and 3 are far, FAR better, the physics are just another element that makes the game so clunky to play.
Infinite has been my go-to since it came out but recently Helldivers has completely replaced it as my "fun shooter" game 😕
At this point, 343 (or whoever is making the next major game) should use Halo Infinite as a way to give them enough time and energy to make a halo game that is not rushed and/or incomplete. Halo Infinite is in a good spot right now where it can keep players occupied while the next game is being developed.
I genuinely loved Halo Infinite. From the hype built up from my favorite UA-camrs, to the amazing art style, stellar gameplay, music/atmosphere. I had ALOT of fun in the campaign and multiplayer. I’m sure most won’t, but I will absolutely be playing this game for a very long time
that 10 year plan flew by! time flies when you're havin fun!
I still have hope for Halo 5 to release on PC - one day maybe
Since the SBMM is so ramped up I decided to switch to playing mostly ranked (because every game feels like ranked anyway). I noticed something interesting. Consistently, I can score the most points and have the most kills/best K/D and still receive fewer points than my fellow teammates (roughly same CSR) for a victory. Shouldn’t the team leader and top scorer in a match receive the highest boost (or at least equivalent) for a victory? They must be using the hidden MMR to factor into the point value for a victory which is sad.
Reminds me of what happened when development for Gears 5 ended. Vaulted/exclusive items became purchasable, while they just gave out free boosts every day.
Halo infinite went from the most fun game I've played in almost a decade (since I was 12!) to one where all I can do is hop on and get mad at the fact my teammates recognize kills matter more towards MMR and ignore the obj every other game.. not to mention even having high mmr doesnt mean you get better teammates than your opponents, so the issues still stand. I really can forgive every lazy fault 343 has with this game, but the disrespectful matchmaking system is ridiculous. I just want to love this game man
The vehicle content is actually so insane, how has there been nothing
I love infinites gameplay so much so hopefully they carry it over to the next game
It's a real shame I was so much used to other more diligently supported games/franchises like Terraria, Star Wars Battlefront 1-2, Splatoon 1-2, No Man's Sky, early Overwatch 1 etc. that I really expected this game to get way more content and massively faster. I was convinced the first new vehicle would be added a month after surprise release. There was no reality they didn't plan that in my mind, same with btb being down for more than a week, easy to fix feedback to campaign like special weapon ammo boxes at fobs being added being quickly, or simple attention to detail stuff like different horn sounds for different vehicles or quality of life being added but most never came.
As an Overwatch/Splatoon player I was never particularly impressed with the speed or quality of balance patches to the game. I think they could've struck a better balance between being as fun as possible/while also competitive while being more responsive, but it wasn't the end of the world.
As a Nintendo/PC player the technical quality/performance of the game was a big pain point for me, I was used to way more polish. Games like Star Wars Battlefront 2 EA looked and ran way better and those already had frame time issues and graphical problems. Crashes and glitches. Can't play with friends easily.
Even still I loved the creativity and sandbox of the game and stuck through with it, it's entire life so far. It's clear a lot of work and creativity was put into it even if it's far from perfect.
Forge, even with its bugs and areas it could improve is still insanely awesome to me. I never would've made it free if I was in charge of the game, I would've tied it to the campaign, but they did which is cool.
I think when BTB was down for more than a week without hope the vast majority of the gaming community saw the writing on the wall and noped out of the game permanently. It's sad, something like that can't be allowed to happen in the next game. Infinite is an extremely fun game and I think the next one will be too
They really nailed it with the core of the gameplay in infinite hope they dont change it much
Plus fuck micro transactions! I’d rather pay for the game in full and pay for map packs again.
I will never understand how people see right a armor set with a 25€ price tag,why everyone prefers paying to have the armor set without playing only passing the card
I will never forgive how every company stealed us the good customization of characters and rewards for playing the game
Ranked matches are getting tough to find, even on a Saturday afternoon. Sad day man
Seeing Halo at the summer showcase is currently at the “not impossible” level
I hope the coatings from infinite can be used in the new halo
If the next Halo has cranked up SBMM, you can forget about it
I hope the next game still has Grappling hook, that shit was fun. Smart way to give us spartan abilities with out giving us spartan abilities
Aw damn, I would've been really interested to have heard how Halo Infinite's SBMM works. Because I knew it was bad when the game launched, dropped the game after 3 weeks because after I picked up traction quickly on improving, I just exclusively matched PC and M&K as a console player. Not worth it, dropped the game.
Hey, does anyone remember the last time they’ve seen an ODST, like the unaugmented generic badass space marine trope kind? No? Okay, I’ll keep searching…
What an absolute blight on Halo’s legacy this game has been
all that matters to me is transferring cuz if none of my cosmetics transfer to the new game im either never playing again or never spending money
I still can't forget how we were so excited about infinite before launch. I remember ppl discussing these big invasion style modes and now we're all BEGGING for a new vehicle.
Halo 5 was the superior halo multiplayer experience.
Grinding achilles helm with the boys was crazy back in the day
I’ve heard whispers that halo was gonna stop at season 5 for a lil over a year now when the operations came that all but confirmed it for me at the end of the day this game did not meet expectations
Wooo I can't wait to see the next incomplete buggy live service trash pile they dump on us...
wow, those 10 years sure went by pretty quick. Halo Infinite 10 year life span went by pretty quick. Time sure goes by when you're having fun.
And remember, all those cosmetics that were bought and paid for? They probably aren't carrying over!
I'm feeling a bit crushed I had hoped they'd eventually make sense of the game and start dropping new content the game shouldn't have died this early it can't be that hard to add new vehicles and guns especially since there are so many that didn't make it in from previous games
Finally. The Era of Infinite should be studied, not only as a dark hour for gamers but for the human race.
Mint, this is the 7th time this week in a row youve brought the end of halo infinite to class
I just want the operator helmet back
A destiny styled halo game would be so awesome!
When I was playing DMZ in warzone 2, I was wishing halo would come out with a sick open world coop extraction shooter game mode.
Here's what I've learned: 343 talking about what's to come for Halo is not a good sign. 343 being awfully quiet about Halo is not a good sign.
Rip: Halo

2001-2010*
After the revival of MCC and the relatively heaithy state of it now, even if it still needs a little more, this is horrendously disappointing. Glad i never bothered playing Infinite more than a day.
Although Halo 5 needed to catch up, 343 was a lot more serious about getting content out and only took a couple months. Infinite however, has been doing it for 3 years. How the mighty have fallen
If the next halo game has multiplayer, make it less freaking competitive please. Just find a balance through beta testing. Also dont strip away wepons from the game like fuel rod, smg, plasma caster, plasma rifle, grenade launcher, rail gun, carbine.....ect
It's so sad, because ai thought Halo Infinite was a 10 year game
I wonder how many other studios Microsoft will close next in their next Xbox Showcase
After what Max said about MM and EOMM I think he will fight for us as much as he can.
The only horizon I want 343 to look upon for halo is letting other companies make actual halo games and 343 to stall into irrelevancy
Survive The Undead should have been flood themed with newly developed flood models.
It's been like 9 months since I even felt compelled to play this game. It might be getting closer to a year at this point.
This was the most longest Beta game I've seen.
tarkov :
343 should release dev tools or mod tools for halo infinite. Let the community make stuff with that engine.
If they sunset shop content, they should open up full color customization for Armor and Weapons at minimum. We know the tools exist. Rip the band-aid off, 343. Let us have our drip, and focus on making the next Halo game a good one.
I just sincerely hope that the leaked content will either appear in 343’s next Halo game, or in Certain Affinity’s multiplayer only game.
343 made me quit halo when they launched a free mobile 70$ game with less content than halo 1. Oh but they updated it! Sad news pal, halo 5 had a better live service than infinite. Oh but 343 is a different company now. No. Btw 343 had a 10 year roadmap in 2015 for all of their failed projects. They came out and said again in 2021 saying infinite will receive 10 years or live service. Are they joking or lying ??
i loved how they nailed the artstyle for the first time since bunjie and they couldnt do literally anything else. so much for a 10 year halo platform
Eh. I saw the writing on the wall with the stupid Yoroi core.

Makes sense and probably best decision they could make. They dropped the ball hard and need a reset. Learn from their mistakes, and move forward. They definitely saw revenue decreases, and historically companies that have those decreases pull the plug and restart. Hopefully they will successfully restart, instead of dig their own grave.
This is why I think criticisms toward infinite at this point should be towards any bugs and small things and pressure should be put on 343 to make the next game the best of the best. Everything we want from infinite needs to go to the next game.
