I’ve been hoping against hope for something like this for so long, and I couldn’t be more hyped. Massive props to the creator.
The command-battle designated marksman assault rifle abomination the spartan is holding couldn't be more ai slop if an authentic artist even tried lol.
4 player splitscreen on a 4k display would mean 1080p for each player which is still way more resolution than any of these games originally shipped with
Especially compared to the resolution we would've been stuck with running at 720p, that would have been around 360p each
@matgoodliff2086 shoot, Halo 3 originally rendered at 1152x640, not quite 720p. I never understood how the xb360 was able to scale the image up for 1080p so well at the time, but you can see in the aliasing artifacts that the render resolution is much lower than the display
@@frederikvandoren you did your math wrong. 3840x2160p divided into four means you halve each resolution value, not divide each by four.

The problem isn't 343 it's Microsoft. For one it shouldn't all fall on 343 to run the flagship Xbox IP. Mario for example is handled by Nintendo as a whole and gets a constant stream of games from various devs. At the very least 343 shouldn't be treated as Microsoft has when expected to support a live service game. They cut funding and laid off workers leading to the loss of the story cutscenes. They haven't shown a single update at their game awards (and you can't pretend the infection update is any less of a substantial update than what we've seen for their other live service games at every show). When Infinite finally starts to get good they tell 343 to move on because it didn't immediately take off. This is all after forcing practices like hiring contractors instead of new full-time employees to work on a brand new engine 343 themselves were still learning (and having since told them to scrap it). Halo should be in a state where it has a long term live service multiplayer, and complete new mainline campaign games, and remakes, and spin offs from other studios. Yet 343 is operated like they're an indie studio by MS and they barely support Halo with other studios. Like compare Halo to how Capcom treats Resident Evil and Monster Hunter. Microsoft has mismanaged the franchise into the ground. That they allowed the Halo TV show to release as it was is insane (be it Bonnie as the former head or paramount, but for me all the interviews gave "we have to pretend to like this" energy from 343 but the first thing I remember was them saying it's not connected to their Halo universe, it felt like Microsoft gave way too much power and freedom to paramount in whatever contract).

Lets not act like they haven't made their own asinine and flat-out greedy decisions that have lead to where Halo is currently sitting at. Microsoft is absolutely partially to blame though, their mismanagement combined with 343's genuine incompetence was a match made in hell.

That’s because Halo was originally made by college students who played the game themselves. The community is more like the original developers. 343/Microsoft is just a huge publicly traded company with employees working a job. It doesn’t surprise me at all that passionate community members are doing what 343/Microsoft can’t. They don’t play the game like the community does and they’re regulated hard by corporate

343 NEEDS to start compensating these folks in some way shape or form cause they are literally carrying, not just Infinite, but the entire Halo video game franchise right now. Like that's insane. It blows my mind if I really sit here and think about it. Even crazier, the community will probably continue to carry 343 until the next Halo game is released. I give the sturdiest salute to you guys. Thank you for your service! 🙌

Glad I lived in the generation where gaming hadn’t been ruined by a.i. yet.
I'm looking forward to intelligent bots that actually strategize against you and play like humans do. Or having a ghost of yourself or pros that you can play and practice against to get better in custom games. The more hours you put into the game the more AI learns about tendencies, mistakes, movement patterns, etcetera, so custom games against bots will actually be fun. And no aim bot nonsense and all that either.

I would say it's either passion or more likely spite that the community developed those two new features.
Thats crazy they were able to reintroduce server selection. I say "reintroduce" because there was a way to achieve this by editing your HOSTS file on PC (i think it even still works on the MCC) but I remember 343 finding a way to stop players from doing this, because apparently it was screwing with the matchmaker.

Im very excited to try the split screen mod. In the past, I've used nucleus co-op for split screen on MCC PC, but it works by opening a new instance of MCC for each player, so theres probably more overhead there. The nice thing about that though was that you could put different people on their own display, so you didnt necessarily have to split the screen. It was kinda jank from what I remember though.

I wonder if that Bug fix update fixes the Launch issue with the game. ( PC Version ). If you have NVidia GPUs and have the latest Driver. 555.99. The game just doesn't launch anymore and will crash on loading. ( You can also read a bunch of people mentioning it on Steam, in the reviews. ) It'd be nice if Mint Blitz or a halo creator made a video on it. ( Would have to Rollback the Driver but shouldn't have to )

I don’t think triple a studios are worth the hype anymore. They drop the ball & the community do better work than them.

It's a tool called Alpha Ring. And in layman's terms, it basically tricks the game into launching in Splitscreen by injecting fake XBL accounts.
Still waiting for Offline Mode to be brought back for Halo Infinite, since they removed it back in 2022

Does Online Campaign co-op work in MCC? Haven't tried in awhile because I swear it was broken for the longest.
Onlinw co-op technically works, but there's a lot of bugs, and unless your friends are in the same reigon as you the latency will be awful.
Split-screen? Yeah, through parsec.
Yo Mint, if 343 came to you and said “we want to hire you and want you to shape the next halo and/or change halo” what would you do? where would you start?
make the sandbox fun, make the player feel respected for their time invested, make the maps look appealing so playing them for thousands of times doesnt feel stale.
I love the app allowing choice of servers, but I'm worried about it flagging as an exploit/cheat.
It would have to modify the games server link and code to manipulate the connection which may cause problems
Halo infinite stops working for me every other update , I launch it does the 343 screen then when it comes to the loading bar screen is crashes it makes me upset

if you updated your drivers you'll need to roll them back to the previous version. current NVIDIA driver update is incompatible with halo infinite. I had this same problem and can play now

I want a real AI in game. Cortana actually helping me during games and not just complimenting a kill. I want "reload dummy." or actual call outs that reads the death list and adds context like "3 dead. Get time on objective." I mean... It actually fits the game.

The purpose of integrating AI is not because of price but because of its future potential and they are trying to touch their toes into the water.
I tought the AI is only for NPCs.
So that's why I can't get into a normal server on Xbox anymore, it's so fun to play with 200ms-500ms🥴
AI should be used to make enemies and RNG smarter and nothing more. No Generators.
I am going to say this honestly the people who do everything from mods to maps and to helping with the whole game and that fact that halo infinite can't they should be the ones helping with the next halo game because they know what they are doing and the fact that 343 does not is just sad those people are the ones carrying halo infinite right now and other halo games and if they get greater tools they could make amazing things happen

Idk if it’s just me or halo 5 forge and custom games felt so much more alive then infinites
LOOL search times post update have been dreadful
it feels like they tightened up SBMM, and the games for me in ranked at least, are perfectly balanced. Every game seems to go into overtime, run out of time before either team completes the objective, or ends 50-49 in a butt clencher. Feels more like that in social as well, so the wait time might be because not enough players at your skill level are searching to fill spaces. That or if the algorithm is priming you for a loss or a win to maintain a 50% win rate, it has to search for the exact people to fulfill that predicted outcome. I don't know what I'm talking about though, but I do play a f ton of halo because I have a suffer kink apparently
