I agree with you on Scarlett. Solid B. The artwork was wonky at times but the ending was awesome. I felt like Scarlett introduced a plot more so than a character.
The one thing I didn't mention about the book was the character jinx I don't know how many people would really know her So that might hurt the book a little bit not sure

I disagree with the review of "falling in love on the pathway to hell". I thought the art and story were both really good and it left me wanting more at the ending. Personally that was my favorite read of the week
I loved ultimates it’s really awesome and badass in my opinion.
I like the art in "Wolverine", but it's clear the story is not for me after hearing your explanation. You are right - not all comics are for all people, and that's OK. I like "TMNT", but not Aaron, so thanks for the heads-up that he'll be taking over the book. Now I know I can safely skip it. I'll check out "Ultimates" per your recommendation, so thanks for that too! I like "G.I. Joe", but based on your review and the art you showed, "Scarlett" is a pass for me. I liked "Duke' and "Cobra Commander", though.
I'm still waiting to get my books, so I skipped out on The Ultimates & Scarlet parts. I'm very excited to check them out. I snagged the Falling In Love book, but i enjoy the samurai stuff. We shall see, lol. Have a greta weekend & much ❤❤

Ultimates was a solid B for me. The beginning exposition section of the book felt a little bland. The Hank and Janet stuff was great though and once the story got going it was solid. Definitely “worthy” enough that I’m on board at least for another couple issues to see how it goes.
i have to give the respect to an “unworthy B” the fact that you don’t let your bias sway the overall grade is awesome. not many people can give respect to things they don’t personally like

The tmnt book should have been a free comic day book . It would have made a lot more sense, either way I am excited for his run and will check it out

Hi Mike great video i agree with your rating of b for scarlett it's a decent read but it wasn't as entertaining as the duke or cobra commander series but it definitely has potential the art is pretty cool and the double chin on scarlett is actually a strand of her hair under chin but I see how it can look like that lol 😂 i plan on going to get a variant cover i bought it digitally cause i was to busy to stop at my lcs

I think marvel does alot of switch on there comics definitely dropping most of there runs.
As far as GI Joe stories go... Scarlet was great, but yes - didn't see a tie into the actual energon universe yet. Good rag, will get issue 2 to see where it goes but I'm really stoked for Destro #1.
The first issue of Scarlet was not that strong of a debut as other books in the Energon Universe had.
I really liked Precious Metal. Best thing I’ve read in a while. It’s way out there though.

The Mammoth by Mad Cave is excellent! Do NOT sleep on this book

The Ultimates(2024) is an amazing read. It's my first time reading the ultimates. This book blows out of the water and has a great start showing awesome characterization to this new version of heroes, especially ant-man & wasp. Seeing this version of Hank pym, love his wife and keep her not knowing their origins. Because he is afraid of becoming another version of 616 Hank who did terrible things, I can't wait to see the ultimates story unravel and character growth.

I think TMNT Alpha was a bad bait and switch as the book mainly focused on the Mutant Island story and not on the Jason Aaron TMNT book. I thought The Ultimates was great and Scarlet was a great read too. My favorite read of the week was Space Ghost #2.
Yeah I can agree with you there and I didn't mention it in the video. I am excited for that Jason Aaron story though I think it could be really cool
Great vid, but I do question the Not Worthy B Vs. Worthy C+, how does that work? 🤔
The book that was a B was only not worthy for me as It is a story that does not interest me. I gave it a B rating because it was well written and drawn and I think a lot of people would still read it. Sometimes the worthy and not worthy rating is not always so black and white. The c+ book may have not been as well written book but it's still a series that does interest me so I did feel like for me it was worthy and it was still worthy enough for others to read.
@@ComicBookCorner2.0 That’s fine Mike, we all have our opinions, but if in your opinion it’s not worthy then you should stick by that and rate it appropriately as a B rating has to be worthy if a C+ is worthy…right? I love what you do Mike, so hopefully this is taken in the right way. 👍

The scoring is wack. A C plus book is Worthy (ofc it’s a Marvel book, how unique for this channel) and another one that gets B is unworthy. Dear lord content creators. Marvel and your precious money sucking events is not everything in the comic industry. MORE INDEPENDENT COMICS. DITCH THE MEDIOCRITY OF MARVEL AND DC.
You definitely make a point, I like Mike's content a lot but I wish he would cover more independent comics. The energy in terms of good reads really isn't at Marvel or DC in my opinion.
The only reason I gave the B book an Unworthy was for my personal reasons and that it was a type of book I would not read going forward but for other readers I said it was worthy so I am giving credit to the title it's just not my type of book.
