LOL , I thought you were on to a winner there. What about Deep Freeze? the stuff used for muscular pain relief . Or Air Duster from the pound shop, but used up side down, that gets ridiculously cold in your hands when you do that.
You should have inverted the can - you need liquid to hit the pipe, the liquid will evaporate and take the heat from the pipe freezing it. Doing a normal spray will cause the evaporation to occur in the can - the can will freeze as you found but the spray will not be cold enough to freeze the pipe Also you should add a disclaimer that the spray in that quantity can be toxic to breathe so well ventilated area only!
I've tried various electric based pipe freezers that use peltier cells. They only work on pipes up to like 6mm. On 15mm forget it. You need to consider that water has a huge capacity for temperature, and a small can of deo doesn't really have that much "energy" available.
Hi J, oh well good for a laugh, nice try. I used to freeze service pipes to properties when I was a service layer on the local water board, when we needed to change an outside stop tap in the ground, if we were not close to the main where the Ferrel could be shut to stop water. Generally, a really positive sign is you will hear the ice forming and 'cracking' noises as it freezes, like you say then leave it a few minutes, not long, and have everything ready for the cut and exchange. Funny vid though, always love your positive happy manner. A+ for effort, D- for effect lol
Hey mate, I've got an interview as an Air Source Heat Pump installer; I've not done plumbing properly for 2 years, I did it for 4 as a plumbers mate and college for two years before that. Some of my general knowledge of plumbing has gone right out the window and I tried looking for my old City and Guild Level 3 Course work but I cannot find it. I tried looking for stuff online to help me revise through it but I'm struggling. Any advice, from anyone would be appreciated :)
😂thanks for trying what a lot of us have wondered The lynx isn't coming out fast enough to freeze the pipe as you know, once it expands it loses energy. Maybe a wd40 nozzle on the can or as a couple have said, air blaster cans might work.
CO2 works well. keep a small bottle of welding CO2 in your van. Remember to invert it to let the gas out as a liquid, it will drop in temperature as it evaporates.
How about a co2 fire extinguisher with a regulator on it, such as you'd use with a fish tank or in brewing?. Co2 comes out at about -60 celcius. extinguishers are about 15 quid for 2 kilos, enough to do hundreds of pipes. Regulator is 50 quid.
@dimitar4y well technically you you would only use the tin for freezing the section of pipe. Once pipe frozen the gas in the area would disperse but pipe would be frozen for longer than gas would stick around. Wouldn't need that much gas either. The temp of the gas is so low it would freeze pretty quick. I've used it on plants and it froze them in seconds. Few seconds of gas not going to blow your house up

A can of air blaster from poundland Works. You have to invert the can so that you are delivering the content as a liquid.
Try can of air upside down
Was going to say the same.. Defo do it upside down.

I was just going to say the same thing, turn the can upside down.
Might do the test again now! I'll smell lovely!
@@plumberparts it's the best use of Lynx, unwanted Christmas gift I expect. Its a malodorous product.
Great experiment and a very entertaining video.🥶
It's was worth a try! Imagine if it had worked! Plumbers all over Great Britain would smell fantastic!
Should have used lynx ice chill😂
Its great that you always include Lynx to your other videos 😂😂
What about the cans of compressed air dusters?
Love this 😂😂😂

Peltiers are just crap at pretty much anything. If you want to get something cold a compressor style is the only way.
@@HA05GER let me dream :c solid state electric pipe freezer. hhhhh
Alan Hart is the man as he is an expert with Arctic spray, the video where he sprayed professor plumb in the eyes with it says it all really
"Hold tight man" you should have used Old spice..Mark off a man. Keep up the good work you are doing 💪💪💪.
What would be the best place for a 22 year old to start a plumbing apprenticeship. Currently in the military and will be 22 when I’m out.
Waiting for a review of that Marshall stack!
Bloody loved that video! Was on edge of seat to see result 😂

Should of used "Africa" James....... The Daddy of the range....
Lol good video. Ps is that your marshall amp and cab behind you
Great content from a real plumber no excuses just does the business and passes on his knowledge with a smile TOP BLOKE.
😂thanks for trying what a lot of us have wondered

Probably would with a large peltier pad. A rad on the other side and a 12 battery. I've frozen water with one.
How do I stop my water pipes from making a hammering noise when the washing machine is taking in water. Cheers
Fit a pressure reducing valve and make sure pipework is fixed properly.
That was funny. Thanks for the laughs.
Do you prefer the freezing method over the Aladdin valve?
compressed gets flipping cold always have a couple of cans handy
have you tried co2 from home brew supplier's
New to your channel it’s excellent. Have / can you do one one water hammer ?
Next try soldering with a can of Lynx and a lighter
Cool 🤭🤣 try a can of freezer spray they use in electronics, I bet that would work 🧐
Carry on plumbing … must be a film due 🤣🤣
Another test needed with can upside down after analysis of comments.
QUALITY 😂😂😂😂😂
take the cap off and swap it for WD one
Exposure to this much Lynx is extremely reckless, and could lead to death by drowning in fanny..
Great entertainment as always
I used one those kits with artic spray & it was an absolute *uckin* disaster
No linx effect here 😂😂😂😂😂
QUALITY 🤣👌🏻

The things you do for science! :D
Should of said “lynx in the description” 🤪
And don't mix up your Lynx with your Arctic Spray when getting ready to go out otherwise you might freeze something you shouldn't!!
I so wanted it to work 😅❄️
Pipes won’t sweat for at least a couple of days 😂
Pipe smells lovely though!😂
Lighter gas will do it I reckon
Nice try though and it smells great !
N-ice try! 😂
Putting your tools on a Marshall amp? What wrong with you man?
And we want a video of you on the guitar :-)
And to think when I was pumbing, I use to just smell of plumbers mait, and boss white, nice try

Phew, I can smell him from here! What a tart!😂
Lighter refill gas would be another option.
and then when you take the torch out, BANG.

@@rbotgam3z675 If you ventilate well enough yeah. It's always a risk though.
so now we know, ;-) How many other urban myths or crack pot ideas would make as good entertainment?
Lol at least U tried.. 🤣
Try my wife.she is cold lol
hoy hoy !!!!!!!!
That demonstration stinks! 👍
One for the #FailArmy 😂
😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️
😂😂😂😂
What world is he in? A can of Lynx £2 ??. And 3 for 7. Theyre £5 each these days in the stores. Cheaper to get yourself the real stuff.
Hahahaha this is ace

Try a can of Wurth Blue ice. Helps unsieze nuts and bolts. £8 tin
