I wasn’t a Mk II fan, until I bought this set. When I got this set, I had to buy the HG revive version. Now it’s one of my favorite armor with the G-Defenser on.
If you can even find one these days, I haven't seen any of those on shelves for over half a decade by now. Chances are , it's popular and always got sold out or bandai just doesn't do enough reprints of that thing anymore.
I completely forgot that the super gundam mark 2 exists. I remember the flat bed that the mark 2 used to go into reentry but not so much the plane that just slaps on the back of it turning it into a not flight form and then into a average upgraded form. These are definitely good for what they are but they're pretty much at the end of the day just either a display stand for your mark 2 or your other flight unit that's right there. We've really come along way when it came to flight craft but a good review overall!
Are you talking about the recently released Option Parts Striker Packs? If so then that isn't a fair comparison. This came out as a P-Bandai release originally in 2012 which was a little over a year before HG Build Custom came out. At that time, Bandai was like either people already had/could get the HGUC kits that they could borrow to put on the RG Mk II or get this P-Bandai release without having two HGUC Mk II.
I was wanting one for a while since I didn't want an extra HG Mk-II body. Granted, I'm stuck with the Flying Armor, but it's still something new in my collection instead of an old, obsolete repeat
Funny how buying the Old HGUC Super Gundam and Old HGUC Gundam MK.II + Flying Armor is a lot cheaper than getting this P-Bandai bundle from most retail/middlemen resellers. (P-bandai websites are always sold out within hours)
@@mj2005gundam Yep, also a bit of expensive alternatives to get these support craft (in case the original HGUC version not available or very rare to find)
I would have to agree with the Rank here. While it IS a nice add-on to the HG Gundam Mk. II Revive, the P-Bandai paywall makes it quite steep. And I don't even know if this even got a reissue...
The P-Bandai version is unnecessary if you don't mind the extra old HG Mk II body from the HGUC Super Gundam. This set is essentially for people who didn't want the two extra bodies
i wonder when will Bandai realized that they still have not make ones for MK II ver 2.0??? I mean the MG G-defender is alrdy a thing just need to print them n sell like hot cakes
I mean, you can get the HGUC Super Gundam or the Mk II with Flying Armor if you want either of these. If memory serves, the Super got irregularly reissued, so it shouldn't be too hard to obtain the G-Defenser that way
@@mj2005gundam Can the super gundam HG g defenser unit compatible with RG mk2? I am building the rg one soon and the hg super gundam is much cheaper to just use the addon to my rg mk2 instead of getting the p bandai
3:39 that white back panel should be moved upwards with those gray hinges that hold it; outside of that, that awesome combination is accurate
@@valentetellezperez6538 got that addressed in the reflection video. Good catch
I like how this released around the same time as Kakarot197s Gundam Mk2 Lore video lol
What a coinkydink

The Mk-II is functionally replaceable without this set, so I'm glad I got it as well to have a modern HG Super Gundam
Man, I would just build hg super gundam instead

Same... the painting is very easy
Steal the Defenser and put it on the revive

I remember it because of its ridiculous name. Glad you liked the review
Not gonna lie I wanna get myself a Flying Armor and a Zeta Gundam and make a Model kit of the Half Zeta
It does look like a heavy remodel, so I wish you luck with that
@@mj2005gundam thank you equally great job on the video It was very great.
Just as a note, this set was also updated from the original version to be compatible with the HG Revive and RG
One adapter was all it took
Didn't knew their was a separate kit for a G-DEFENSER, I thought it was only available on the super gundam kit
It was a Pbandai exclusive alongside the flying armor as a set
P-Bandai exclusive separate release. It's really just an alternative instead of a paywall
I hate that this was made a P Bandai re-release.
If they could make the Striker Packs a standard release, they should do the same for this

Cheaper to buy the old HGUC Mk II that came with the G-Defensor... what the hell? It's only $19
This is exactly what P-Bandai should be use for. These are not new engineering at all. You can snag one of each with a Mk II.
It's a price to pay to not have extra bodies lying around, but like the replies said, this came out before optional parts sets were a thing
@@reijigamer I think they meant the RG Sky Grasper that had the Sword and Launcher striker packs.
So glad someone bought their attention to this. Ultimate kit bash package and technological innovation

@@mj2005gundam The RE-zel has a similar defenser
Am I the only one that wants to see them make an MG version of those and with a MK ii ver 3.0
I am assuming they would just make separate RE/100s of the Flying Armor and G-Defenser. I doubt Bandai is going to make another 3.0.
I'm not one to be asked that since I'm not into MGs.
Awesome review, I wish Bandai would also release this for the PG.
A PG G-Defenser would be interesting but I don't know how a PG Mk II could ride a 1/60 scale Flying Armor.
We can only hope. PG is as dead as MG is

It's always good to have an alternate option to purchasing these units.
What a coincidence, after watching Kakarot197 video about Gundam MK II's fates this show up
Totally not my intention, but a pleasant coincidence nonetheless
Ah, finally....this video should help people what makes the P Bandai ver different than the retail one.
In essence, nothing except an adapter and decal sheet
@@mj2005gundam Yep, also a bit of expensive alternatives to get these support craft (in case the original HGUC version not available or very rare to find)

@@mj2005gundam i have that but i was talking about the tertium arms lol. it looks great on the geminass 01 as well
Oh, kakarot made a video about the mk2 just now, happy coincidence hehe. Also alway feel the missile bay could be modified into pincers or something
Happy coincidence. Well, I'm gonna experience the Engage Gundam's defenser variant soon, so I'm looking forward to seeing the potential
5:47 put it on Graze and it's a Dainsleif armed weapon. 😋

Bandai when are you gonna reissue Build Gundam MK Ii
Never. They never did release any of Meijin's monoeyes besides the Z'gok.
I always find transport for robot is kind of cool. But the semi transformed mode will always looks weird to me.
Look at it as a utility rather than a proper transformation, then it'd be better
Just waited for bootleg companies released the same kit but with extra option parts, damn u bandai

It is a set with the HGUC Mk II called Gundam Mk II + Flying Armor.
What Reiji said. The HGUC Gundam Mk-II with Flying Armor
That's sticker scare me
Embrace them.
