really can't argue with that, though I like the RG Mk II, cause not only that it has a better build design, but also a color correcting build design for the beam rifle and hyper bazooka, cause the ones for the HG version are like just blank.
And among all things, there was a Flying Armor and G-Defenser P-Bandai standalone set meant for use with both the RG and HGUC Revive. That one's extinct.
0:21 Are you really made about how "inferior" the Mk-II is to the Hazel? Seriously? THE HAZEL IS A RETCON MACHINE. It didn't exist when the Mk-II was initially designed or when Zeta Gundam was airing. It was retconned to be a prototype due to external media made after the fact. And yes, the Mk-II is a fantastic design.
It's more a bad joke than anything, but if we were to fit the AoZ stories into the canon, it begs the question as to why not at least SOME of the previous test parts are implemented into the Mk-II
I'm here late, but my personal headcannon is that the Mk-II is only a downgrade in its base form compared to the Hazel. It's supposed to be a platform that you can modify and make better, just like the advance of zeta machines were very modular.
@@mj2005gundam To me, high grades are like action figures, solid and robust, easy to play with. The RG is more like an intricately poseable and highly detailed model. I honestly don't see how it comes down to aesthetics, the HG looks like a toy, the RG is beautiful. I just want the HG so I can play with it on my desk while my RG sits on the shelf looking cool. Also, the RG took forever to build compared to a high grade, and those piping segments were a PITA. The biggest reason I want to buy the Titan's version as the high grade is I just don't want to build another RG. But for the price, the RG is a STEAL, and you should buy one, take the time to build it, and put it on your shelf. It's a gorgeous kit. If you put them next to each other, there's no comparison on aesthetics, man. This RG is literally why I got into gunpla.
Whether you go for the RG or this, you really can't go wrong with the Mk.II.
or the mg or the pg

This one was a surprisingly good model kit. it’s just so much fun

Apart from having done a redux review of this kit, I totally agree that the Mk II seems like a downgrade from the TR-1
I'll consider toget this one day, wish the Flying Armor and G-defenser available separated
There's a separate PBandai G-Defenser and Flying Armor. IIRC, you can attach the G-Defenser from the HG Super Gundam to the HG Mk-II revive
@@EXADragaon yeah but it wasn't reissued again since 2016
Edit : last reissue at 2016 not 2012 (initial release)
that is one lucky friend
But the RG is cheap too. Price to plastic ratio is absurd
I'm not the authority on the RG, but if it's as good as the HG, then it's down to the aesthetic choices you prefer
