      I think it demonstrates that dogs don’t need ‘corrections’ when making mistakes in the learning process. They won’t repeat behaviors that aren’t reinforced. 🙌🏻

    I love these 5 minute challenges. I train IGP and it gets a bit boring for both me and my rottie sometimes so we use a challenge where mistakes are okay and where she can run and have fun, at the same time it tells me if she has understood the commands, so it's win-win

    Very nice chaining. I did this years ago for a Survivor contestant tape. Chained muti pushups to three roll overs and end with a grovel "Crawl back to me!" was awesome till the tricks become more fun than the basics Lol. I love a dog that has drive and anticipates your next command. Exercising the body and mind helps build that drive and tires them out lol...

      @@AndyKrueger Regarding these 5min challenges. I have noticed a huge difference in the levels of drive. It seems to have increased a bit with these daily short rutines. My dogs react like any other dog would. But i take advantage of it. So when i ask my dog. Wanner go work. He is up and all fours and ready to work. I do have certain stuff i do before training. So with my Bulldog i bringout my weightpull harness and she knows whats up. Same with my malinois now. Sleeve, food, toys or suit. So when people ask me. Hey Thomas. How do you manage 4 dogs, 4 cats, 6 chickens and a huge yard with big space. I say. Hey, it´s my life and i just do 5min challenges with my dogs every day and that leaves plenty of time to do other stuff.

      Have implemented your 5-min training challenges btw, sometimes early mornings, often at the end of the day (before dinner, when the dog is actually excited and sometimes in “zoomies” mode but physically can’t sustain long training): this is BRILLIANT. Gets the job done, refocuses the dog, good mental stimulation and increases both the bond and the drive due to a shorter sesh. Absolutely fantastic!!!

    • @conormalinois
      @conormalinois 2 роки тому +1

      @@AndyKrueger No, I just do TRICKS in my backyard 🤨... with more than 50 K9 malinois and german shepherd in my life. And you shouldn't have been offended. Everyone has their own training methods. I grew up with dogs. I know why I commented that. Depending on the purpose for which you need the dog and what service the dog will be for, the training and socialization of the dog largely depends on it. Personally, I like to train a dog so that I have 100% control over it, especially if it is a Belgian Shepherd dog...
      In order for the dog to be able to work smoothly, it is important to create the basics while the dog is still a puppy, so that this behavior becomes normal. So I'll just write a few things that I noticed, and I think they're not right:
      1) The dog goes out the door before you. 2) Jumps on you and distracts you, even jumps from the back onto you.
      3) To get him to leave you alone, you bribe him with food.
      4) The dog does not accept you as the Alpha, that is, the leader of the pack, but considers you his equal.
      5) The dog is just waiting for an opportunity to completely dominate you, if you took those 10 kg of food off you, it wouldn't listen to you at all.
      6) Take a stand and start acting like an Alpha.
      I emphasize, that's how I see it and I'm not criticizing your work in any way, moreover, you're doing a great job, the dog in the video is superb in every way. I'm not being malicious, I follow your work and think you're doing a great job. If you don't receive criticism or another opinion if it is different from yours, no problem, I will delete the comment.
