Update: This project works again. However, the EXE method no longer exists. Install using the Winget method. On the main website under "stable releases", there is an option called "Winget". Click on Winget and then copy and paste the command into PowerShell. Cider will then install.
good app. Another way to use Apple Music on windows is using the wsa on windows 11, and I’ve been using it for a while. But these are all nothing compared with original app provided by apple and I’m pretty looking forward to using it soon on my pc. There was news this October saying it’s coming to windows in 2023 but so far still no sign of release of this app😪
I also tried using Apple Music in Windows subsystem for Android. It seemed kind of overkill to emulate an entire android OS just to run apple music in my opinion, but it definitely is a solid option too
how about the sound quality? had any idea about that? im using the desktop version of itunes rather than the web version due to the sound quality was better in the desktop version. thats what i knew so far, might be wrong on this one.
iTunes runs at a bit-rate of 256 kbps, Cider runs anywhere between 64 kbps-256 kbps. The new Apple Music app that Apple put on the Microsoft Store supports 256bkps - 24-bit 192 kHz audio. I'd recommend using that now. Don't use the web version, it's terrible
Yeah, It's pretty good, they still need to fix a few things like automatic audio switching and exclusive mode. Other than that, Apple has made a compelling port now!!!
@ScrotusMaximus666 Cider is only for Apple Music, if you want to sync an iPhone or iPod to a PC, use iTunes or the relatively new Apple Music app on the Microsoft Store.
They've recently made cider 2, they no longer maintain this version. However, if you don't want cider 2 and have windows 11, Apple has officially released Apple Music for windows.
If the web version or iTunes works fine for you, then that's cool. Back then, when I released the video, AM Web had serious issues, but now Apple has made a Native Windows version. Use whatever works best for you.
They recently removed the EXE option. However, if you still want to get it for free officially, you can use winget. Go to PowerShell and type in "winget install --id=CiderCollective.Cider -e". You can copy paste from here or you can go to cider.sh and click on winget and copy the command from there...hope that helps!
Apple changed their authentication methods, which renders cider unusable. If you want to listen to Apple Music in the meantime, you can use Apple's web client: music.apple.com
Cider uses AppleMusicKit which is related to the online version. Go to apple.music.com, sign in with your apple ID. Then click on the profile picture in the top right corner. Scroll until you see parental controls. It will prompt for your parental controls passcode. If you are a minor, your parent will have to enter this in. If you are an adult, it will either be a passcode that you made, or if you don't have a passcode, then it's probably a default value such as "0000". I was able to change these values and it affected whether or not cider played back and explicit track.

Thanks!
Don’t recommend getting this, ruined my apple music on my phone and i cant even listen to music now. Thanks
It never ruined my Apple Music, Apple has finally released an official app though, so I'd recommend using that instead.
exe not popping up
they want money for this shit, are u kidding me
Nowadays, I'd recommend using the native Apple Music app for Windows 10-11, as most of the bugs have been ironed out. Plus, it's lossless.
Thank you very much friends, really helped my life #indo

But it doesn't show the lyrics does it?
Sounds Great, one question: Can we create folders in Cider in order to sort various playlists into folders?
