Him : "Sounds bad"
Breakcore fans: perfect🗿🍷
First thing I thought, sounds fine lol
@@TomNStuff Yeah, it's called "planing" when you just move the same chord voicing around. It's a pretty cool composition technique common in movie and video game scores.
No, it really sounds fine!
😂😂😂
@@SubtleHawk this is actually a technique???? I thought I was just making happy accidents lmao… thank you for this now I must research
As a musician watching this, I feel like Einstein
....don't worry it will pass
Right
Cool shortcut fo sho. Alternatively; commit an hour to learning the circle of fifths. Understanding the "why" musically, is the greatest "game changer" you'll find.
So true everybody that creates music should atleast take the time to get the basics
Okay well I've devoted plenty of hours to learning why and it has not really improved my workflow like this will.
A lot of artists who blew up didn't know anything about the theory and it worked. It's a matter of person type. Also this is learning material too.
Rather than the circle of fifths, I would say you should learn about what notes make up the natural minor/major scale, then learn how triads are constructed from those notes and which triads are within the natural minor/major key. From there look into 7th, 9th, 11th ect chords. The triads you can use in the key of A minor are: A minor, B diminished, C major, D minor, E minor, F major and G major.
Understanding why exactly this is, is very important and its not that difficult either.
why did you put 'game changer' in quotation marks
holy, this'll make constructing chord progressions so much easier! how did i not know about this
learn music theory

“Sounds bad”
Bro I thought that sounded amazing 😭
ye
To be honest i like the first version more
This is one of the first things that impressed me
This UA-cam channel is a treasure we don’t deserve.. 😳😭💯
Planing chords using the same voicing (what you did in the first example) is actually a pretty common scoring technique in games and movies that actually sounds really cool depending on the context.
wtf this is crazy max
Holy shit I just made a song out of minor 9ths the other day and it took a hot minute. This is incredible!
Thank youuuu!
idk man i think "bad" is kinda subjective. I could totally see that progression working in context. Still a really cool trick regardless. Nice!
This is insane!
Gives me duck season vibes
Shiiiiiiittttttt went from 0 to 100 real quickkkk
“Alt + K”
You learn something new errrday. 😮

I think Imagine Line's tools and idea is too underrated.... there would be more something that aren't revealed. That intuitive and simple tool and workflow is amazing 👍

Woooooowwww 😂 ❤
wow!
No way I'm trying this right now
is this possible in Abelton?🤔
insane
FL studio never ceases to amaze me. Although it is not for pros 😝 I love this, thanks 🙏
Wdym it's not for pros? It's used in mainstream music
>not for pros
>used by some of the largest most successful artists in the world
@@blacksheep_music It was a joke... I am using FL studio 🙂 for years. There's a lot of FL haters. Anyway FL is great especially for arrangements. BTW I am electronic music producer. I am even recording in FL studio and I can't get used to any other DAW 😏
@@minastojiljkovic2220 Oh gotcha lol it went right over my head, fax there are a lot of fl haters and I can get the frustration with automation but quite literally everything else I would argue FL does better! have a good one
@@blacksheep_music whats wrong with automation? i mean i do use it, but i dont know what the cons of automation in FL Studio. Id love to know
First one Sounds fine to me
Oh shyyyyt
The mango 😂
Holy cooowww
Nice
❤
It's the first time I listen to someone say "voicing" in a beatmaking video lol
F minor 9th (the second chord here) sounds like the beginning of NK - Jawbreaker.
press button get everything you want, where is the musicianship my god
There are many producers that are not musicians, which is frightening, but it's true :P
This is so wild I had to comment twice
