LOVE YOUR REACTION! FACTS, monsters are REAL! They have different faces for us ALL, but they are REAL! The Dead Don't Die and Symptom of Being Human are must sees for you, reaction or not, they are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!
When I first heard this song my first thought was you are always taught when you are little “monsters aren’t real”. Then I got my own monsters and figured out real quick, yeah, they are real, and they will always be real. I just gotta be stronger than my monsters
This is from Attention Attention a concept album that has all videos. Man starts out in bad place but comes out in a better place by the end. This is about Brent's addiction to drug & alcohol.
I clicked so fast!!! Thank you Todd!! 😎🫡 I had requested this in a live stream. I think it was the first Shinedown song I requested (or maybe Planet Zero?), but I had planned on sending a video request for MONSTERS because it just makes the song that much more powerful! Plus, I know in lives, you're chatting and sometimes don't give your full attention to the songs. Some songs are just better left for video requests because they deserve your full attention (like this one)! 😊❤ When I first heard this song, I just cried. Then I immediately got on UA-cam to see the video and I had CHILLS, especially the parts with the little girl. The emotions, the passion of the song, the way its sang, the drops, the music... it explains everything I feel. It describes ME. Shinedown isn't voted the Best rock band of our time for no reason! Someday I'll see them live, and it'll be a whole EXPERIENCE for me! Probably shed some tears too while I'm rocking out! 🥰🥰🥰 This is probably my favorite song from them to date!
Yeah.... this is definitely one where the video is almost as powerful as song. Think I might request daylight or symptom of being human next. I was kinda worried because I know how sceeze feels about child abuse. I'm same way. But I think this helps putting it out there making people think. I'm gonna see them end of this month for the 4th time.
@@mattrotton It will help those who have experienced it. I experienced every form of abuse. It's songs like these (and of course others that are inspirational) that have helped me get to where I am today. "Do What You Do" by Mudvayne is one that's on my request list for the simple fact that it's one of the very few songs that describes the aftereffects of sexual abuse. It especially describes ages 16-28 for me. Those were the worst years because at 16, I finally REALIZED and fully understood what happened to me. That was the worst depression of my life, up until 2019 - today. The difference now is that I've learned and grown from so much of that and I'm on medication and in therapy. But what I mean is even though some of these songs are hard to hear for some, it's acknowledging that you're not alone. There is someone out there that is going through those same feelings as you. The person who wrote this song understands ME. That's a rarity. That Mudvayne song is...tough. I cried so many nights listening to that song, feeling every single word. Feeling ANGRY. My anger used to feel like the weight of the world on my shoulders. My anger used to scare me. I have this thing where I reach a certain level of anger and almost faint. My vision goes weird and I almost drop to the ground. That's when I know I need to walk away before I snap. Instead, I'll just go cry and come back when I'm cooled off.
@@DenaeK I'm sorry you had to go thru that denae. You sure did nothing to deserve it. Just try to remind yourself that it wasn't your fault. Someone did this to you and one day they will answer. So many of their songs affect me. I deal with PTSD and depression. I'm glad that these guys are still around after 20 years and not slowing down. You are a beautiful soul and you deserve nothing but the best from life. Hopefully one day you'll find your peace. You ever need anything or anyone to talk to, I'll be here.
@@mattrotton Thank you. 😊 Oh he's answered. He died alone in an abandoned 5th wheeler. I was maybe 13 or 14 years old at that time. He's lucky cuz if he was alive in my early 20s... he wouldn't have been for very long. But I like to think he got it BAD when he served his time in prison for what he did to me. I hope he got much worse!! 😈 I just heard David Draiman's laugh in the song "Indestructible." (Disturbed) Another song I requested in a live stream. 😃 Rock and metal will always have a special place in my heart cuz they're the genres I've loved the longest, thanks to my parents! ❤️ I remember us all piling into our woody van, taking all country roads to my uncle Pete's house (about 20 minutes away). All of us head banging and singing along to Megadeth, Testament, Pantera, Metallica, and many others! 😎🤘🤘🥰🥰🥰 "Car coming!!! Everybody start rolling up your windows [Manually]!!" Kids these days will never know. 🤣🤣🤣 My grandparents had an old station wagon and we had to crank them windows too!
Shinedown tours alot, if you get a chance to see them live, do it! It will be one of the best concerts you ever see.
You’re solid Sceez. Respect.
