Thank you for giving it a go Roger. Relating to that type of vocal strain, it meant a lot to me to see that occur; you are forever incredible!

I never get why some people like to diminish Roger as just a lyricist and not a good musician. He wrote the music for so many Floyd songs. And as for his vocal abilities, first his voice played a big part of the PF sound (no-one can deny it). He also used to pitch very high notes (The Wall, The Final Cut). Even Gilmour admitted his voice was manipulated for the «it's alright we told you what to dream» moment on Welcome to the Machine.

I'm very happy too when John uploads stuff like that from time to time. I hope there's still some more to come from the vault. 🤗

My guess is its people's reaction to how Waters himself has diminished the contribution of his own band mates for decades.
Just a very conceited man and I'm afraid it tends to jar with people. Going on about well he wrote this and that, his vocals are on the albums, he played bass etc- obviously, yes - we know. Oh we know all too well, Waters is not shy of telling us. That's not the point.
In terms of Gilmour, Mason and Wright's behaviour toward Roger- if someone sued you and then made public statements criticising you for years, putting down your work- I don't think you would care much for them either.

@@jimmycampbell78As a fan of music and Pink Floyd, why should I care what grown adults say or do when it's silly things like who wrote this or that, Roger is a great musician, and so is Dave, I could not care less about some headlines "Roger said this" "Dave said that", they are both two billionaires that can take care of themselves, we don't need to pick sides and defend any of them.

@@Echoes- I was responding to the original post. Certain things need to be pointed out to people who think the sun shines out of Roger's backside.
Waters was not treated unfairly, he was not kicked out of the band. He kicked the others out of the band and made an album called The Final Cut. Then launched his own solo career.
Then when the others got together & reformed, Waters sued them to try and stop them performing & recording under the name without him.
All that's behind why 'Dave says this' and 'Roger says that'.
Those are objective facts, not just my opinion.
You're a fan of Pink Floyd, so am I- and Roger Waters is the man who in the end ripped that band apart.

He needs David to tune the guitar.
