  • Hello,
    Gear used. KT downwind custom. 6’9”, 100 litres, 19” wide.
    Foil: lift 150 HAX. Tail: 25 glide. Mast: 28 inches.
    I’ve been thinking/dreaming/envisioning this run for quite sometime. Conditions lined up and was able to get after it! I feel short my last long run, lessons learned. This time it was a success!
    For long distance runs. Many factors come into play; conditions always changing, how your body is holding up, how many wipe outs you’ve had, keeping your head in the game, staying far enough offshore to make it to the end spot. I’ll remember this one forever. 🤙

    That was great Mike! I'd love to see more video pointing forwards so we can see your line and how you're picking bumps. Seeing some typical paddle ups would also be great but that would require a camera mount on the board.

    Very impressive Mike. How fast are you actually going. Appears as if your matching the wind speed on some of the waves. Great job and ground breaking in our area. See ya on the water!

      My speed was maxing out about 30 kph, approx. 20 mph. Average speed was just above 21 kph, 13 mph.

      Respect!!!👍👏👏👏 too bad you didn’t have company! it seems that it would be more fun in a group. Thank you for sharing your experience.. I’m assuming you’re videoing on the end of a carbon paddle that you could use if you needed to?

    Amazing video! It's so great that you share your love for the ocean. Windsurfing is such an amazing water activity and it's lovely to see you enjoy it, keep going with these great videos. If it doesn't bother yoy, I'd like to give you a suggestion, a tip for the next videos: Basically, you could try inserting some comic and funny stuff... to give everyone a pinch of humor that, in the world of surfing and water activities, can never be missing. Now, I don't think much of it, but the first thing I could think of in your sport might be peeing in the water. Once, my uncle, who is a scuba diver, peed in his wetsuit during a long diving session and that moment was absolutely funny, he even wrote "I’m peeing" on a waterproof notebook during the session. He has always been telling me that there are 2 types of divers and swimmers: those who pee in the water and those who lie. I know it may sound strange as a request but, in my opinion, these are moments of happiness and carefree that always make everyone smile. I hope you like the idea and I hope you have a wonderful day!

    Inspiring! What was the water and air temp, and what brand wetsuit were you wearing?

    • @michaelpisarczyk6465
      @michaelpisarczyk6465  4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks! Water temp probably around 50F/10C. Air temp 70F/20C. Mystic wetsuit 3/2. Heart rate around 100bpm. So working and generating heat. Also travelling with the wind. Long runs don’t want to be overheating….

    Could you do a video on planning with conditions such as wind/swell and where you get that info for the great lakes?

    Nice ride. Do you know the average and Max Heart Rate on this DWer?

    • @michaelpisarczyk6465
      @michaelpisarczyk6465  Рік тому +1

      Taxi ride up the coast it was getting up to 90 bpm, definitely physcing! Average was 120, while cruising it got under 100 a few times. It got up to 160 after paddle ups, working hard, usually a little pumping aswell. That board is unreal while on foil. Not the easiest to stay standing on, so that was the most laborious part. While up and riding was being aware of my breathing. Breathing through my nose and trying to slow things down.

      @michaelpisarczyk6465  Рік тому

      It’s called Dolphin Pack. It’s quite small, neoprone and lightweight. On one of my wipeouts, a strap blew out. So not super tough. Going to re stitch it.
