I appreciate Toshihiro-san's approach to not only preservation, but conservation. His dedication to ensuring this home remains not only aesthetically beautiful, but fully functional for the next generation is truly inspiring! Thank you for sharing his story, his home, and for showing a fantastic example of how traditional homes can successfully blend the historic and modern living elements!
Always love seeing traditional house like this especially in period dorama. The dried burning rice (we called it 'Kerak' in my country) is delicious, especially if you dry in the sun for a few days then fry it and give a little salt and pepper. It's crispy and delicious as snacks.
Momordica Charantia, also known as bitter melon or goya. My grandma had this growing in the back of her garden too :) please upload more videos about traditional Japanese cooking, utensils and recipes. Thank you in advance.
That smile when he ate the rice melted my heart
Umeboshi with rice is great.
He’s so respectful of his home/land and his ancestors. Shocking as an American. Wonderful. I wish I could visit and have a conversation w/ him.
