Gotta say, I'm loving how you guys are splitting up the paid vs free content. You're not skimping out in the slightest and depriving those who can't pay for the extra videos, whereas those that can are getting lengthy and frequent additional uploads, expanding on - and touching upon less vital, but still interesting - elements of the award season. Really good stuff!

Fun fact: Fernanda Torres is the daughter of Fernanda Montenegro, the only brazilian actor ever nominated for an oscar, it was for Central Station directed by Walter Salles, who is also the “I’m still here” director. Both Fernandas are playing the same person in this movie btw.

Cannes and Venice go-er this year, believe the hype about The Brutalist! I was at the premiere and it’s absolutely worthy of the praise. Felicity Jones and especially Guy Pierce deserve their golden statues. Loved Anora, it will be a crowd pleaser but The Brutalist has the prestige and that rare quality to it i haven’t seen in anything in years. Would be more than happy to see it win everything. Joker was not good, Queer was alienating after chapter two, TRND and babygirl will not be oscar players and Angelina will be in the winning conversation even if the film is weak. Also, Fernanda Torres is excellent and should be our actress front-runner

Angelina Jolie is one of the 2000s movie stars that still has fans of all generations and has worked with many people in the industry for over 20 years. She only has a Supporting Oscar. I can see her getting the Renee Zellweger/Brendan Fraser treatment and winning it because they will want to recognize her as a leading actress. Compare that to newbies who don’t have that community to back them up.

I have been to Venice, but unfortunately I couldn't find a ticket for Brutalist so I missed it, but people talke about it as one of the best film they have seen in months. Of course they are all cinephiles, but I think it's the Golden Lion and easily a BP nominee. The Room Next Door was so wonderful to me, rated it 4.5 on Letterboxd and it is really good and emotional. Babygirl is just meh, don't get the extremely good reviews nor the extremely bad ones (unless you're a prude). It's ok, trivial ad a bit silly, but Kidman is quite bad in it. Her botox obsession has gone out of control and you can see that for her is quite difficult to even move the face (quite the same problem Angelina Jolie had in Maria I was told, and they basically started a debate in Italy about acting and botox and literally ppl at the festival were talking about it 🤣🤣). Queer is good, but very experimental, especially in the second part and it has some writing issue, like the fact that it actually lacks a real conflict for the story to go. Craig is ok, more than great acted I think that his performance is great directed. Last but not least, watch out for I'm Still here by Salles, it can be a contender in International Film and, in a fair world, at least for Actress cause Fernando Torres, who I strongly believe is winning the Volpi Cup for actress, is outstanding in it.

She’s very loved and respected across the industry - actors love her - if this is her best performance ever then great and the “coming back narrative” as in “oww she can ACT… she’s not just this Hollywood celebrity action movie actor” should be pretty strong after all this time of her not participating in projects that showcase her acting capabilities as she did in “Girl Interrupted” or “Gia”…

Hoping so much for I’m Still Here to win at least one award in Venice! Brazil’s last International Film nomination at the Oscars was in 1999 with Central Station and It’s a national oultrage still that Fernanda Montenegro (Fernanda Torres’ mother) didn’t win Best Actress and that City of God wasn’t even nominated for Best International Feature. Hope this is our year, at least with a nomination. The system for choosing the film here in Brazil apparently is really bad and late, so we need to rely solely on luck that a great movie will appear and that a big american distributor will pick it fast. I was never big on Joker for Best Picture or Best Actor, but I do think Gaga is still pretty strong for Supporting Actress. Her notices are great and I think there's absolutely room in the category. Saldaña, Deadwyler, Jones, and Gomez seem safe right now but Gaga to me is easily the best bet for that #5 slot (and I also think there's at least a question about whether or not they really want to nominate all three of the Emilia Perez stars). If the movie does start a lot of chatter like you guys are saying and a prevailing sentiment is "no matter what you think of the movie, Gaga is excellent", then even if the movie sinks everywhere else, she could totally pull a Glenn Close in Hillbilly Elegy. after winning Golden Lion, situation turns 180 degrees for The Room Next Door. Reviews don't matter as much for Oscar, but it's the industry's opinion, and the jury of festivals ARE representatives of the Industry. The Room Next Door is poignant on its issue, baity on performances and Almodovar is beyond overdue, so the fact it DID win the Golden Lion and the track record in the last 7 years of that prize, with 2 Oscar Best Picture winners and another 3 above-the-line (Director/Actor/Actress) winners, seems to indicate that at the very least, The Room Next Door may be really well posed for Picture, Director, Actress, Supporting Actress and Adapted nominations and Swinton probably can even start writing her acceptance speech.

Dr Pillai's guidance to us is always autopilot. What is happening at the moment
If the Status Yuga is led by Ganesha and Muruga then physical changes in us are bound to happen before we turn into Light.
But then Planet Earth would change together with us.
Be prepared to be joyful in a totally joyful in a very different environment. Embrace it spiritually.
This is always mentioned in the oldest text of the Vedas and the narratarize un the Puranas.
And Dr Pillai is a fully enlightened being so that he can exactly pinpoint when it will occur.
Theoretical Physics development of the discovery of the fraction of a second jas in fact set the stage for the change.
In essence the above is the whole argument but to see the whole picture it is better to see it from a religious perspective rather than scientifically and astronomically.

If SATURDAY NIGHT ends up winning TIFF People's Choice, we need to consider it at least a frontrunner for Original Screenplay (TIFF People's Choice winners have won at least 1 above-the-line category, and this category make the most sense as far as above-the-line is concerned).
Let's not forget that Jason Reitman has a compelling overdue narrative since he already has 2 prior Best Director nominations (JUNO and UP IN THE AIR) and almost won Adapted for the latter (he lost in large part due to credits controversy). Jason is in fact the youngest person ever to receive 2 Directing nominations.

On the other hand Stewart, Portman are no Jolie who is basically the Liz Taylor popular Oscar winner and STAR of 21th Century. Jolie is doing an accent AND PARTLY SINGS, which is where connection to Judy works cause Stewart and Portman were only doing accents. But this one was a really risky project, and unlike the first film I don't think general audiences will be as in love with it - hence the box office might take a dip (still will do well), which doesn't bode well for the Academy.
