Hi Andrew. What a three days fishing they were. I particularly liked the swim on the Severn and you did the right thing by not moving swims. I’ve joined a club on the Severn a little way downstream of Ironbridge which I have yet to set eyes on but intend to fish next season.
Are those 5000 gte reels i absolutley love mine if they are 😂😂😂 my mate blanked in that swim last 2 sessions out lol and ive blanked in the next 1 down… those rocks and that weed are heart breakers well done on landing that last fish in the dark on ur own 👏👏👏 enjoyable watch pal thanks
Been looking forward to your videos Andrew. I'm hoping to get out on the pride stretch of the Derwent later in the week, maybe Thursday night and see if i can snag a Barbel or three.
Crackin video, you did extremely well considering the river Severn was that low. I was only on that peg last Friday (17th Sept) for a couple of hours in the evening, still very low but looked very fishy…blanked.😄 It’s a sought after peg and gets fished a lot. That area of stretch is called ‘Barbel alley’. Biggest I’ve had on that peg is 7’11. Keep them coming, really enjoy your vids.👍
Enjoy your vids not bad considering your single handed with your footage I notice u have a tendency to fishing close in and baiting up and waiting for your barbel and Chub certainly works for u and on the magical river Dove as well.it seems that the barbel numbers being caught have gone down lately the past 5 years or so and mainly bigger fish over 10lbs remain would be great see some smaller fish being caught younger fish let's hope they have had a good breeding season.and keep them vids coming pal really enjoy them 👌🐟🎣👍
They are actually old rods, but well spotted! I was using a pair of Fox Duo lite rods with the multiple tips (1.75 & 2.25) but they are battered and have some eye rings missing. This season I will be using my old Lone Angler 1.75tc rods (used in video) and some new Korum 2.5tc rods where required.
I have always wanted to fish the river dove, could you tell me how to do this please, and The Trent for 2022 season, I love night fishing for barbel and have done for 40 years but never fished these two rivers. hope you can help me Andrew please
Hi, the tactics you've used on other rivers will work on the Trent and Dove. The middle & tidal Trent can require strong rods and heavy leads, depending on conditions. Plenty of UA-cam videos on fishing the Trent.
Hi Andrew, you managed to get out much lately? I've been having a good season, not blanked for while whether the Trent or Derwent. Actually had a brace of doubles from the explosive factory peg Wednesday evening. One just under 11lb and one just over, broke my PB twice in same evening. Been using my home made boilies if you'd like to try some :)
I've been out plenty of times this season, and will be posting a new video soon, about fishing the River Trent. Good to hear your doing well. I also make my own boilies sometimes, it's a good feeling to catch on something you've made yourself.
@@DeggersFishing let me know if you'd like a kilo could do with some field testers 🙂. I'm out again this evening on the Derwent and upped my PB to 12.5lbs, really need to get myself a GoPro for next season I think.
Thanks for your kind offer of some of your homemade boilies, I'm ok at the moment for boilies, I have quite a few of my own in the freezer. I look forward to seeing your videos if you get a GoPro next season.
Nice video, the Derwent Barbel was fantastic. And no music. Sometimes I watch videos with the sound off, because of the music.
Hi, the Derwent barbel was a nice one. I know what you mean about too much music. 👍
Very enjoyable videos thank you
Glad you like them!

Reels are Shimano Aero GTE 6000B, I’m not expert on reels but I do like mine 😊
Great session on the Severn and wow what a barbel from the derwent ! Well done
Great to see you back on the banks Andrew.
And what a cracking couple of sessions.
Looking forward to more videos as the season progresses.
Great video again. That fish from the derwent was a big lump. 👍
Great video and great sessions. A day on the Severn would be ideal

Svaka čast, dobar video, kroz cjelovečerni ribolov, konačno da se snimi duži ribolov.OK!
No idea what you said!
Excellent Vlog 😁🎣👍🏻

Agree, it would be nice to see some smaller barbel coming out of the Dove.
What a session on the Severn definitely a red letter day for u Andy long may it last on your nx river adventures 👌🤞🐟🎣
The long wait is over since your last video, and well worth the wait. Looks like you have invested in a new pair of rods ?
Very enjoyable to watch.

nice fish at the end fella,
Hi Andrew I was just wondering what rods do you use in the video. Very good content really enjoyed it. 👍
They are Trevor West Lone Angler 1.75 tc rods....no longer available new.
I was gonna ask the same. Look cracking rods
Really enjoy your videos Andrew. I have the same reels. The rear drag is excellent on the gteb's. What mainline and hooklength are you using?
Thanks....I use ESP Ghost fluro hook length (10 or 12lb), mainline is Fox soft steel camo (18lb)....though it is prone to line twist!
What venue is this looks amazing
The middle session is on the River Severn at Coalport.
@@DeggersFishing a 3 and a half hour drive 😩
Nice video. Are you using Korum tripod 👌🏼
Yes 😊
Is this peg below the rapids at jack field ?
Not sure where Jack field is?
Good job dad
Dad! something I need to know....
What area of the Severn did you fish, looks very peaceful ?
I fished at Coalport, not far below Ironbridge.

Andrew. Is this Coalport a day ticket stretch.
Sorry, no it's not day ticket. Controlling club also have a waiting list!
@@DeggersFishing OK Thanks.
FYI, you audio is terrible. But great video. 👍
Fairly sure damage to barbel tail fin is an otter.....:( :(
Unfortunately you are probably right 😕
