If you are doing this for a larger sized dog, I recommend just taking her stitch counts and either doubling or tripling them, and working from that, while keeping the same row counts. :) If your little dog is not furry, I recommend lowering your stitch counts by about 1/4 or 1/2.
GREAT tutorial. God bless you!
Jesus died, rose, and saved. Have a wonderful day!
Your pattern is EASY to follow as is, and I LOVE the fact that you have it written below on the video so that I can follow along OR WRITE IT all down so that I can take it on road trips and complete when I am away from my computer. I plan on making a few of these for our little Maltipoo. Thank you so much!
Super cute, thank you! I'm actually making a couple sweaters for two of my Goat's soon-to-be-born kids.
Just finished my sweater! My chihuahua is a bit bigger so his sweater turned out snug but still fits nicely. Thank you 💛
Thank you so much for the tutorial, I am beginner and had trouble understanding some parts. The sweater turned out bad the first time and I had to remake it again and then now is beautiful 😍 Thanks 🙏
Thank you so much for the tutorial! Very clear and easy to follow❤
You are the best, I am very new at crocheting and your videos as been the most educational onesfor me. Thank you
This tutorial is flipping AMAZING! I can’t wait to make some for Christmas 🎄
Absolutely amazing. I will make these for my cats. Thank you for sharing. God bless you 🙏🏻❤
Thank you for this tutorial! I do not have a dog but I made this for my cat, fits her just fine! Love it
OMG, I just crocheted the cutest sweater for my daughter’s toy poodle using this tutorial. So easy to follow and the end result is gorgeous. Thank you so much
I’m thrilled to hear that you liked it 😆
Getting a 6 week old golden Labrador in October can’t wait! Making this super nice sweater to keep it warm
Did this in a few ours (with breaks). It’s adorable on my dog and now she’ll keep a bit warmer ehen it’s freezing outside. Thinking about crocheting small legs in the front. Thank you for this very instructive and easy tutorial 😊👍
I am very happy that you enjoyed the tutorial :)
How much yarn does it take?
My sweater weighs about 44 grams. I made it for my chihuahua and it fits her exactly 😊
I have made 2 of these sweaters now. Your video is easy to follow and the sweater pattern is perfect! Thank you!
Your welcome ❤️🧶👍🏻
Hi what breed of dog did you nake this for please?
@@hazelnicklin4861 My dog is a mixture breed of a Maltese poodle and a Yorkie. My dog is called a Morkie.
@@hazelnicklin4861 I have made one for a corgie puppy, my chihuahua/jack Russell mix and my moms Brussels griffon. They all fit perfect
Ok thankyou Tess
Super easy to follow making one right now. Thank you
thank you! i have two doggies, theyre half poodle half yorkshire so they arent THAT little, but after blocking the sweater they fit nicely on them! im definitely going to do more sweaters this month :)
Thank you! I am currently finishing round 2-4. Can't wait to try it on my pet

Just finished! So, so ADORABLE!! Fits my chihuahua perfectly! On to hat I go. Thank you so much! I’m grateful for people like you! 🥰
Thank you :)
So much better than store bought! They can’t wiggle out of these babies! Thanks again!!!!
I just started crocheting in march of this year (2022) after my mom passed away. This pattern was so easy and fun I was able to do it. I did the happy dance lol
I am very sorry that your mon had passed away and I am also happy that you have enjoyed the tutorial! 🥹🥳
@@crochetit thank you! I did love it very much!
Thank you from Germany!!
Amazing amazing video. I'm an absolute beginner and I was able to make this project with ease because the design is so simple yet so cute. Thank you so much for this 💗 💖
I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the tutorial ✨😋
Спасибо, очень удобная подача материала, и ничего сложного в вязании))
Making my dogs and their friend sweaters for Christmas 🥰
This was a great tutorial and a very nice puppy sweater.
Thank you for this! I'm gonna go grab some yarn tomorrow and make some for my little dachshund puppy!
Lovely design! ❤
I've just completed it for my son's lasarapso, hoping it fits 🙏
Thank you! 💕
Nice! I will do it for my shih tzu girl ...as I’m beginner in the crochet world...I will start now to have at least one ready for winter 😄....thank you for the tutorial....blessings 🙏🏼....Jesus loves you!
Thank you so much my puppy needs this ❤❤❤
Cute. I made this for our dog. I did have to tweek the pattern some because she has a long doxy body, but that was very easy to do. It turned out great. Thanks for the pattern.
I’m making one tonight with Lionbrand Scarfie yarn in cream/taupe and it’s turning out beautifully! Love this pattern!
I am very happy that you like it❤️
In Rnd 9 (dec) are you doing 1sc into every other stitch or do you sc into 4 stitches and then do the 2sc dec? I'm a little confused also. Thank you.
Thanks beautiful sweater, I will make it for my pet named Toffee for his 1st birthday
Aw. Lucky Toffee
Cute, my wife says it looks fun to do. Thank you.
Oh I despise reading on YT. My eyes are old and sometimes I like to listen to a new pattern several times while crocheting something else so that I know what to expect by the time I'm ready to actually make the item. Great trick huh? Especially now that I've "listened" to every true crime show there ever was lol. Soothing while you work!🤣🤣 Not the content, just voice over on those type shows. Lol.
Please make this in medium! I love this! I'd love it more if you spoke the tutorial but I'll read since this is a unique dog pattern.
I also love to listen to a radio show while crocheting, it helps me to pass the time and it makes it more enjoyable and fun to do. I am very sorry that I didn’t do the tutorial in a voice over because, I live in a house where there is constantly noises that can’t be helped much :). I am very happy that you enjoyed the tutorial❤️
I'm on number 3 for my shih tzu. Thank you for the tutorial 💕💕💕
Does this fit a shih tzu of 7 kg?
@@elin7767 it was a little snug for mine. I had to let it out in the chest and make the arm holes bigger. He's about 15 pounds
@@tyrajenkins6135 ohh okay! Ill do that too then. Thanks!
Sorry to bother you again. Did you increase the stitch numbers from the start to make the whole sweater bigger or did you just make the chestpart and the holes bigger?
@@elin7767 I think I also increased the collar but didn't count out the new rows. I just sized it to where he was comfortable. Then followed the tutorial to connect and then added in an increase of 10 to keep the leg holes even but give him more chest space.
Do you have this as a written pattern? I would really love to get a PDF or even just an email from you with the actual pattern because I travel over the road with my husband and sometimes we don’t have signal so I can’t watch the video all the way through however, I love your sweaters I have made at least one already. I adjusted the rounds in the number to make it fit my dog and oh my goodness she is so adorable.
Grazie. Anche se non c è traduzione, i passaggi sono molto descrittivi. Detto e fatto. 👏👏👏
crocheted this for my dog and he looks adorable :))
Fantastic 👏🏻🧶
Please reply to our questions . I like this pattern so pretty. Thanks you , Best Marie
Easy and great pattern for any weight yarn thank you for sharing. 👍🐕🐈👍
I ended up with 50 stitches not 46 when you made decrease. What did I do wrong. We started with 60 right
Am I missing where you have the measurement for dimension on here.? to know about what size dog it will fit.? if that makes sense, like length, width, etc.
THIS IS ADORABLE!! thank you so much your filming skills are wonderful
I made it mam Thank you so much my shih tzu is looking so cute ❤❤
Most welcome 😊
Thank you for this video, I've been looking for a good tutorial for a size small for my shitzu puppy; sweaters are expensive 😢
Glad it was helpful!✨💕
Love this classe work and easy thanks
Super nice sweater...
Love your pattern! Do you have a written version available for purchase somewhere? Thanks!
Thank you! Sorry, I don’t have an online written version of this pattern 🤗. But I will mabey make in the near future written patterns available online :) Happy crocheting 🧶
Omg I love it! And I was wondering if you've considered making a tutorial of this sweater for the medium sized doggy? Thanksss
Hi i have considered it but i want to do a tutorial that you can do a dog sweater in multiple sizes. Im still working on it :)
@@crochetit ohhhh, that's amazing then, I'll wait for for one 😀🥰
I love this also and need a medium size but not sure how to make it bigger
1) Its not that hard just each step measure the sweater on your dog as you work, that's what i did.
this is how i adjusted the sweater size: Collar too small add a rows until fit you can also adjust the length ( i personally did 7 instead of 13) just remember the extra chain in the start is for changing a row and doesn't count in the length . The steps after that are similar. Chest; just remember that the increace is every other one until you reach the chest size you need and then you do how much number of rows you need to cover the chest fully.
2) the leg holes; the hardest step for you should be the row when you make the leg holes. In the video they tell you how much stitches you do foe the back the chest and how much to chain for the leg holes, thats when you experiment. I think the best idea i have for you is to put it on your dog and count /mark when the back and chest area end and begin ( where you start to chain for the leg holes). Its a trail and error but you just need to try see and do again the row if you have to the amount of chains too ( i think it would be best if you used a number you can divide equel because you may need to decrese the next row size based on your dog size and body, i used 5 because in the original video the number of chain are 10. You can used any number you want really just remember you might need to increase / decrease on future rows base on the number of stitches you do in the chain.
And thats it really... Adjust as you see fit and remember that increse / decrese and trying the sweater on your dog EACH STEP is your best friend
oh my god just finished mine my dog loves it! If i wanted to make this in other sizes for my other bigger dogs how could i do that??
Foarte frumos!!
Bravoo!!!
You could suggest that they use a half size or full size bigger crochet hook if they crochet tight.
Omg I love your video but I wished you could do voice overs
Maybe one day I will
What does "(sc, inc) X 20 [60]" mean? New to crocheting :) I understand single crochet, but unsure how to increase and what X 20 [60] means. Do I need to do multiple sc's per stitch?
@@crochetit Shot for the fast reply! Totally understand it now. If I manage to do this, it'll be the first functional crochet thing I've made - thanks to you ;)
@@crochetit Funny. I was watching so hard to see what you were doing to understand the pattern given. Now that you've told me it seems painfully obvious hahaha!
It’s probably obvious… but I can’t find the reply to this question.
I just need to know when to increase and what does the 20 and 60 stands for
I, too, am struggling to understand what (sc, inc) x 20 [60] means. Please help
@@thebariatricway6324 @Melinda Ward sc means 1x single crochet in one stitch. inc means 2 sc in one stitch. 20 is the number of stiches in that round. 20x3 (number of crochets) = 60 :)
Thank you I’m a beginner if I want to make for goldendoodle how will I calculate? Her neck is 14 inch and her chest 20
I am definitely going to try to make this for my fut baby. Small question what wool did you use DK or chunky, etc. Much appreciated for your help.
Hello☺️, I used Dk yarn for this project🤗
Made a cotton sweater for my friend’s Javanese following this pattern and it’s so cute on her.
Thanks!
This sweater is 30 cm. Do you measure from the beginning of the neck to the end of the sweater? Love this pattern. Thanks
Yes. I measured it from the neck of the sweater to the end of the sweater :)
Hi! I just finished round 8 with a total of 60 sc. I am now in round 9 that says I should "dec, sc2 and chain 1 in the next 4 stitch." At the end of the row I should have a total of 46 sc, but after doing it I ended up having a total of 50 sc 😭
@@crochetit thank you I will try it again. Also, thank you very much for the prompt reply.
For anyone who gets confused on the decrease row 9 it’s dec. 4 sc. dec. 2 sc. dec. 2 sc. dec. 2 scs. Around to the marker. Then sc. in the last 4 sc.
Hope you understand
Hi, great toturial, it really helps me but I have a one notice, !0:02 and you said skip 10 st and skiped 12
Very nice, but I wish they would use their voice to give instructions for the people that are audio visual learners.
The creator may not speak English well or without a difficult to understand accent. Some cultures do not allow women to work and being silent and with no rings, etc. as evidence of identity, this is a way for them to do so and maybe make some money.
@@Dirty_Squirrell spot on dude!!
Thank you your instructions very clear
The pattern is awesome , but it’s a little confused on (sc inc) x20 - 60 ??? Not clearly understand I rather to talk during tutorial then silence . It’s will be easier to following with you . Thank you
*sc 1, inc 1* repeat the 2 steps x20 times in total
How did you go from 20 sc in the first row after the next to 60
How did you increase?
That’s what I’m confused about too😅
Glad I stopped to try it on at round 13.....doesn't fit! My dog is a chihuahua x jack russell, so very small. Weird...
I am a little confused. On round 10-22 after the 46th sc do I chain one? What is the best way to keep track of the 13 rows?
Yes, every time when you start a new round you ch 1 and sc 1 into the same place as the ch 1. And every time when you complete a round, you will sl st 1 into the next st to close the round.
If you don’t want to count the rounds afterward, I would suggest you use a piece of paper and write 1 round done for every time you complete one. This will then help you to keep track of how many rows you have and how many more you need to do. ✨
@@crochetit Thank you so much!!!! Love your work!
What do you mean by sc, Inc? From 40, why it became 20 in round 1?
1 SC, next 2 SC in the same one, 1 SC to the next, 2 SC in the next same one, in the end of the round you should have 60st
Cute! will 3 ply yarn do? or should I use a thicker yarn?
@@crochetit I see, thank you! I'm still canvassing what yarn to buy hehe
I have enjoyed your tutorial very much and currently doing my best work so far however I have become confused with the decrease rows at the end of the sweater. .....every time you join with a sl st its at the middle seam at the doggy's belly (my pupper is male) but it looks like the decrease rows start at the side. How did you get there. (I have also adjusted for the size of my guy and the yarn that I am using so I haven't exactly been going by numbers. Would appreciate your help here if you can.
Approx. yards/meters of yarn needed? I don't want to start and run out. Thanks.
I use something around 130-140meter of yarn.
I am new with crochet but looking at your tutorial it looks really doable for me. Your explanation in brilliant. I have a question, do you have version for sweater with loop for harness? Because I have to have one as my dog pulls a lot and I can not use collar. Thank you in advance.
No sorry, but i have been thinking on doing a harness tutorial for another time :)
Hi there. I need a little help. At 6:30 after you finished the neck part you wrote “Rnd 1 (sc, inc)x20 [60] what do you mean by that? Is it suppose to be more than 40 chains? As I see in the video you do single crochet at each chain, and it suppose to be 40 chains at the end of the row. But I see clearly that the chest part is larger than the neck. I’m a newbie here please help to understand. Thanks!
Hi. The (sc, inc)x20 meas you are going to repeat sc 1 and inc 1 for a total of 20 times.
•inc = increase (2 stitches into the same place)
What colors yarn are these
Gray bright blue cream?
Si tus videos son a lo mudo un principiante no aprende
Hello can someone please tell me how long and wide should the neck be for a small dog ?
I’m stuck on round 2-4 my project does not go straight
Im making one for my friend’s dog! I was wondering what size yarn/how much of it I would need? Thank you!
It is Dk yarn (130m-160m)
Hi there. I love this pattern but it's a bit too small for my foxy cross dog 🥺 Could you please explain to us how to make it bigger please?
Hi, sorry I don’t know to make this one bigger, but you can always use a thicker yarn size than the one in the tutorial 🧶🙂
You can try using a bigger hook
Hi i love this jumper what woild be the sizes for a medium please?
Hi, i don’t have a tutorial for a size medium dog yet, but i have been thinking on making a size medium sweater tutorial:). But you can do this tutorial with a thicker yarn size to make it bigger. :)
will this fit my maltese?
@@crochetit THAT.....Is true. 😁
My dog is adopted and looks just like yours! May I ask, what is your dog's breed? We're guessing ours is a shih tzu mix of some kind but not sure.
Aw cute! My dog is a Morkie . She is a mix breed between a Yorkie and a Maltese poodle.
@@crochetit I googled Morkies and yes, my dog looks really similar to the pictures. Thank you for helping me solve this mystery! By the way, I recently started crocheting and just finished my first project (purse). I'm going to use your tutorial to make my little morkie a sweater soon. :)
☺️🐶✨
Le point est beau ainsi que le modèle mais la musique ne me suffit pas. Dommage qu'il n'y a pas de traduction des phrases dans la vidéo. Je vais devoir trouver un autre modèle français
Hi
How do I find the free pattern for the doggie sweater
Thank you 😊
Ok, I was just wondering if there was a written pattern as well 🤔
How do I know what size to make for my dog
Thank you 😊
Do u have a printable version of the pattern?
Sorry I don’t have this in pattern 😊
Is the wool double knitting, Aran or Chunky, thanks
It is Dk yarn :)
I'd love to follow this tutorial ❤❤ but i think our dog is Large-sized. How can I adjust the size? Thank you!
Mabey using a thicker yarn size? But otherwise I can’t help further because I need to take measurements and be constantly fitting the project on the dog to make sure it fits :) . I am so sorry 😞
@@crochetit The dog is Shih Tzu Pekinese. I really don't know if he really is Large-size. All i know is he is 15kgs. LOL 😅😅 maybe i'll try to measure it to him while I am doing it. But I really love your tutorial ❤❤❤❤
would this fit a pug?
how many yarns did you use?
About 24g
How can I make bigger ones in size?
Hi thanks for the great pattern, can you tell me what weight yarn you used? I didn’t see it in the video and a similar question below doesn’t show the answer? It looks like 4 ply, just wanted to be sure! Thx
I used DK yarn
@@crochetit DK okay that’s a 3 weight then I believe…thanks so much!
Yes it is 👍🏻👏🏻
What color and brand is this yarn I love this color but can’t find anything. Thank you
This yarn name brand is 67 Blanket Mandela Day Print and it is Dk yarn. I do not remember what the colours name is :)
I ended up with a lump after the arm holes...did I miss something?
No, I don’t think you did anything wrong, my project itself came with a lump after the leg holes :)
What pattern did you use?? Just curious because I'd also like to make some but in different sizes
Hello, this is my own pattern and I only made it in one size (small). 😊
PLEASE HELP - at 6min 30 in the video - RND 1 (SC, INC) x 20 [60]... Is that an increase in each stitch for the remainder of the row after doing only a sc in the first 10 stiches??
Ok the (sc, inc )x20 means you are going to repeat the two steps over in a total of 20 times. So it is a sc into the next st and then an inc into the next (x1), then repeat it again, sc into the next st and inc into the next (x2)… so repeat the sc, inc until you have done it in a total of x20 times. Hope this will help :)
@@crochetit thank you. I am still new at this. Please explain as you did above round 9 with the dec, sc 2. I did a ch1 then decrease the sc in the next 4. Not sure what comes next
Ok you al ready did the dec and a sc 4. Then you are going to do a dec 1, sc 2 all the way around until you get to the front of the stitch/string you placed there. Then sc into the last 4 stitches. And lastly sl st 1 into the next st.
Is this in text instructions somewhere
Yep. Seeing replies would help
