- Our 2022 Fall Road Trip is one we've been planning for a while now! We've always wanted to take this trip & explore all that New England has to offer in the Fall. Fall is our favorite time of year and catching the epic fall foliage was the goal! We truly got so lucky as we got the Vermont right as peak foliage was happening! Some of the places we visited are places you will find trending on social media during the fall season. Covered Bridges, Downtown Woodstock, Woodstock Inn & more! Vermont is definitely a place we could see ourselves living & we can't wait to go back!
NOTE: The road to Sleepy Hollow Farms is closed for the fall season from Sept 23 - Oct 15 & the property in no longer accessible.

I grew up in Vermont. That covered bridge in Brattleboro used to be open and used daily. It was a nightare on the weekends driving to work as all the tourist would block traffic to take pictures and enjoy the farmers market. 😂 As a kid we used to water tube down the river and swim under the covered bridge farther up along RT30 in Dummerston. I don't miss the snow but your right it's a whole vibe.

Sleepy Hollow Farm is such a beautiful place for leaf peepers, the road this year, 2023 is closed to non-residents. There are a lot more places in Vermont that are stunning gorgeous for foliage colors. Great video. The section of the Long Trail in Vermont would make a nice video in the fall. Thank you!

Alot of people from Europe countries seem to go there because of the Olympic ski resort and the Democrat socialist Von Trapp family sound of music and the carft beers and chocolate products glass products and cheese and two percent of Hispanic people move to Vermont and the Hispanic people are happy hard workers and give a Vermont employment card right away to go to work and Vermont politicians working together for the people of Vermont because Republican and Democrat and independents never really take corporate money because they work for the people of Vermont and Vermont is a small state and Sanders pushed community health care centers in Vermont and vermonters go to Canada for cheaper drugs that are made in America and the Mexican like the winter because of fresh air and Mexican people build alot of their own products and Vermont has a produce their own chocolate products and glass products and other products that are most community the state has alot of guns no problem in Vermont and Vermont politicians holding the Vermont state police department accountable by bringing in outside agents to investigate the police departments and alot of cover bridges and food markets and food festivals and Sanders went to Russia that when President Reagan went to Russia and Sanders brought back alot of Russia arts and culture and ideals like the water front comes from Russia and the market place design comes from a design from Colorado alot of French people and Canadian natives and Irish people living in Vermont but the most beautiful place in Vermont is the North east kingdom quarry and granite quarry in northern Vermont that why the Von Trapp family sound of music move because of the mountains in Stowe Vermont
What towns in the USA do you recommend to live in - which are safe, pretty, there are jobs and living isn't too expensive?

Hey! We were there the second week of October. This Vlog specifically was October 11-13 of 2022. I believe if you were to plan maybe for the 1st week of October you could be pretty safe. As soon as we left on the 13th a bad storm came through and blew away all the leaves. Thank you for watching!!

It's a Cotopaxi bag. Unfortunately they don't make that one anymore, but it's definitely been my favorite bag!

Yes! We carry a tripod around in my backpack to get the shots we like. It just makes it easier for us instead of asking someone who may not feel comfortable doing it. Thanks for watching!

You definitely should! It’s such a beautiful fall road trip!
We use our iPhone in 4K 60fps for a lot of the footage and then a Vlog on our Sony ZV1. A lot of our older vlogs are strictly just our iPhone though.

Me and my husband used to stay at the Admore every year and found out they closed in 2022. Which was so weird because the women always talked about how they were always booked and busy

North Vermont is one of the best mountain lakes in all of Vermont and have a granite quarry and alot of mushrooms that are illegal

Yes we love the 4Runner! We don’t have a rental company that we prefer, just typically whatever is offering us the best deal. But Toyotas are always our go to choice!

Woodstock is closing the road to Sleepy Hollow Farm to thru traffic this year btw! I guess all the traffic and sightseeing became a problem for residents, but everything else is still open and welcoming to tourists!
Btw, in case anyone else thinks the Salem witch trials history is interesting like I do, the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem MA has a whole witch trials history exhibit through November of this year and it looks so interesting 🧙🧹🪄
Btw if you wanna see a beautiful Vermont town go visit Middlebury Vermont, it is the epitome of quaint 😍😍😍 even cuter than Brattleboro IMO and the little pewter shop there has the coolest stuff

The time to go is the first week of October, give or take a week. There is no guarantee when peak foliage is so the first and second week is the safest bet. Make hotel reservations well ahead as it can be a problem.

The largest mountain in the east coast and is one of the best ski resort in America on the east coast states
We were there in 2017 and did the exact same thing we had our first dinner at the Publik House. We stayed in Quechee at the Quality inn which has another name now. We drove into Woodstock the very next day and loved every minute. We also drove up to the Killington Ski area to check it out and we went to the Billings farm and Sugarbush farm and the Calvin Coolidge History Center which was so interesting. It quickly became my favorite state also. The third morning we were there we took a trip into New Hampshire just to have breakfast and to say we were there! Such a fun and memorable trip! Thank you so much for sharing this blast to the Past!

Hey! Unfortunately they are no longer allowing tourists access to the road during the fall season. Since it’s a residential property the locals on the road petitioned to block access during fall. Hopefully they’ll be able to come up with a compromise in the future

You'll be getting there at the perfect time! We got really lucky with our timing in Vermont because it was exactly peak, but on the 13th a big wind storm came through at blew all the leaves off. Supposedly first week of October is a safer bet.

We saw that! It wasn't our experience, but have seen videos of it being very chaotic at times. Hopefully they can find a way to make it work for all involved in the future. It is a beautiful location!
Love Vermont so much! Great video!! Highly recommended you guys check out stowe next time. My husband and I go there every year for fall foliage, and I'm telling youuuu the views from Mt mansfield 😍😍😍😍 it's a long hike but very much so worth it. There is a restaurant in the mountain, the cliff Café. Highly recommend that, too! You can also take a gondola ride up the mountain!

Hey! We actually have a lightweight tripod that we use that pack in our backpack. It’s always hard asking strangers, if there are any around, so we always just set it up and take some quick shots with our phone or camera. We use the lens buddy app on our phone & then use the cannon app for the camera. Thank you for asking!!

Thanks so much! We were there Oct 11-13. We hit it right at peak. The 14-16 there was a strong wind storm that came through and blew off all the leaves, but I would recommend anytime 1st/2nd week of October.
