Chicken livers are delicious if you soak them in butter milk first,then seasoned with lemon pepper, dredged in cornmeal and fried. I've never had gizzard fried. I've only had them stewed with onions, garlic,red pepper flakes,seasoned salt and cooked down until they make their own gravy😊

Hi Matt, I didn't really care for liver, but love the gravy from liver. I had no other choice to eat them when my family would add liver to their stuffing/dressing. I love homemade stuffing/dressing. I have to say the liver look really tender and good. I aunt would always buy fried gizzards. So, yes Matt young people don't know about chicken liver/gizzards 🤔🤔😊😊 That is a big convenience store, and the thought they cook fresh to order is really a good thing.

We had a church's chicken that still sold gizzards, they closed now. I don't understand putting the word "Southern" on the box when you in South Carolina. I can understand that in New York/ New Jersey but in the south seem weird

I haven't had any liver in a long time. I'm use to having them fried and smothered in gravy. Love me some gizzards. The only problem is that most places don't marinate them. They're always hard to chew.

@MattDV Some of the best fried chicken is at the gas station. When I was stationed at Ft Polk, LA, we had a place called Speedi B's, and they had some great chicken.

If you're driving back up north you HAVE to stop by Roanoke Rapids NC and try Ralph's and Allens. Get bbq sandwich, vinegar based Carolina style, and Brusnwick stew from both spots then try whatever else they got. But at Allen's you MUST try the hotdogs with everything including slaw!!! Thank me later!
