My family’s from Philly. So, I’m one of those who is very critical anytime I see “Philly Cheesesteak” on any menu that’s well outside of Philly. I always play this game to see how close the imitators get to the real thing. Most of them fail miserably. But, this guy has a real process that shows he respects the craft of how it should really be done. Some things are wrong, didn’t expect it to look perfect. The uniqueness of his approach still sells me on it. Especially, as he goes out of his way to make sure some of the right type of flavors are applied first. Don’t care for the extra stuff like all of that chilli, chips, or two different blends of cheese as simplicity is key when it comes to making a cheesesteak correctly. Still, it looks like a damn good rendition that just might be the best competitor in the world to the real thing. Who would’ve thought it would be all the way in Korea? I enjoyed watching this.
