(Yet I have nearly all the Legends, Old EU, novels on my bookshelves.) My headcanon is that the so called sequel trilogy is Imperial Propaganda and character assassination from the post Dark Empire/pre Hand of Thrawn era Imperial Remnant trying to amp up support for their war against the New Republic and to breakdown the Jedi(who are at the moment solely a New Republic institution.) While there are storylines in the Old EU that don't work, the EU as a whole is a lot better than this crap.

20 years ago, my uncle took me to see Revenge of The Sith as a little boy. Best theater experience I have ever had. Right. The only Disney Era Star Wars fanfiction I've watched are the Force Awakens(was too trusting and naive got sucked in for the movie) and Rogue One. (Yet I have nearly all the Legends, Old EU, novels on my bookshelves.) My headcanon is that the so called sequel trilogy is Imperial Propaganda and character assassination from the post Dark Empire/pre Hand of Thrawn era Imperial Remnant trying to amp up support for their war against the New Republic and to breakdown the Jedi(who are at the moment solely a New Republic institution.) While there are storylines in the Old EU that don't work, the EU as a whole is a lot better than this crap.
