I grew up in a low class family. My mother was a single parent raising six children. She worked her xss off to make it into the working class and with sacrifice, fought her way into the middle class. All this hard work paid off with earning only a high school education. My mother is the American Dream and my greatest influence!
I grew up in a working class family in Australia. My mother wasn't a single mother, but she raised 9 children while my father was working long hours, shift work. We lived in a Government rental property, no car, a lot of rented appliances, shared a lot of toys and clothes, but there was always food on the table and a lot of love. What is with the Left politicians always going on about how tough their lives were, but they don't want to do anything to improve the lives of the poor. They love to point out how the Liberals(Australia) and the Republicans only help the rich, when it is them now who bend over backwards to help the rich.

While in the US Marine Corps, I've had the pleasure to deploy to Australia twice and trained with my ADF counterparts. I enjoyed the warmth and hospitality and would love to visit as a tourist. One things for sure - vegemite has an acquired taste and is not for everyone. 😅

It took me a long time to realize a simple but powerful truth, that the left parties are therefore the ones who have a vested interest in keeping people poor. Their messaging is always negative - you can't win, the world is against you, we are your only friend etc. The left would be out of business if they genuinely helped people climb the ladder, so they will never do anything more than frighten people into fear of the alterative parties.
