    The only problem is when mounting the radiator you cant get at the rear bolts without removing cooler. I would use the factory bolts which are about 3 in long which go all the way thru mounting channel

      I don't remember exactly how I achieved it, but the radiator is installed and secured using standard / short bolts. So far no issues outside of my constantly flat tires! Thanks for watching! 👍😁

    I GOT THE ENGINE OUT THE OTHER DAY. HOOKED A CHAIN TO THE FRONT AND TIED OFF TO A CAR. GOT SOME TENSION THEN YOU TAKE A PIECE OF PIPE AND HIT THE FLANGE THAT BOLTS TO THE FLYWHEEL. IT TOOK ME ABOUT 20 GOOD RAPPS AND ROTATED THE ENGINE A COUPLE TIMES. IF YOU GOT A PIECE 8 FEET OR SO I STOOD OUTSIDE THE BOBCAT THERES A CLEAN PATH TO THE FLANGE

      Nicely done! My u-joints were in a thousand pieces so everything slide out real easy. The flange at the flywheel (for the u-joint assembly) came apart really easy on my unit. Maybe the previous owner loosened every thing up by operating it on bad motor mounts. Sounds like you are making good progress. Keep up the good work! 👍

    Great job! Did you have to bleed fuel lines? Do you know how to get air out of lines? Thank you for your time.

      Thanks! I cracked the injectors loose and manually turned it over to bleed the lines before attempting to start. Thanks for watching! 👍😁

    HELLO IM PULLING MY ENGINE OUT OF 843 BOBCAT 4JB1 ISUZU . THE YOKE SEEMS TO BE STUCK TO THE PUMP. ITS JUST A SPLINE YOKE AND SHOULD SLIP OFF. I GUESS I NEED TO TAKE FUEL TANK OUT TO LINE IT UP ON THE WAY BACK IN. NONE OF THESE VIDEOS SHOW THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP OF SEPERATING AND HOW TO LINE UP YOKE GOING BACK IN

      I responded to another message on the channel with more info. The female portion of the splined coupling should come out with the engine.

  • @terryford1868

    How did you line up the coupler to slide on the splines?

    • @FlatThunder
      @FlatThunder  4 роки тому +3

      I moved the engine in the bay so it's close to the hub. You can tell this by wiggling the coupling from the operators side. When it's close it will just touch the face of the hub (when wiggling about the u-joint range of motion). Inch the engine ahead just a little and check the coupling. Eventually working this method you should be able to align the coupling with the undercut section of the splined hub. Once the coupling is on the smaller undercut section of the hub rotate the engine by hand. Inch forward, rotate, repeat until the hub catches on the splines. It's really a two person job; one in the operators side and one on the engine bay side. I tried it solo at first and I was making progress, but it went really slow. The winning combination was Dad helping out on the engine side! Good luck and thanks for watching. ;)

    Any idea where i can find a fuel injection pump for a 843 bobcat?

    • @FlatThunder
      @FlatThunder  3 роки тому

      Hello! Unfortunately no I am not familiar with a source for an injection pump. Make sure you look for the correct unit. I believe they installed 3 different engines in these models. I bet your cheapest route is to have a diesel shop rebuild it. Good luck! 😁

      @@FlatThunder thank you. Found the website just wasn't sure which bushing it was. I just purchased a bobcat 843 project so I'll be referring to all your videos. Thanks again.
