You do realize that Zeus and Thor are the same god, just belonging to 2 different pantheons, right. Zeus for the Greek, Giove (from which comes Giovedì/Thursday) for the Romans, and Thor for the Nordic mythology. God of thunder in all 3.

Zeus was always a flamming idiot with flamming loins, just he was higher powered, although ironically weaker than ALL who came before him aka TITANS. And technically this Thor has the Odin Force and thus was actually on par with Zeus in this battle, just both lacked... majesty. Valkyrie seemed to be the only character with any, again ironic since she is more of a brawler than Thor.
Along with whoever okayed the screaming goats......like, it wasnt even a funny meme. BTW, for anyone who doesnt know by now, they're fake. Its a scream asset in the apple movie editor. The casting and characterization for Zeus was fine. But they didn't give him much to do in a movie about a god killer. It's really absurd that God of War 3 has better storytelling than this movie.
That’s kinda the point, you’d expect him to care but he doesn’t and hides in the arena along with all the other “high class” gods. Besides the post credit scene implies that Zeus will eventually become a major threat to Thor.

This was probably the last marvel movie I'll have seen in the theater. After Infinity Wars and Endgame, they traded epic story telling and amazing character development for cringy humor and two dimensional characters.
In these movies, the action is so... inconsequential. No one ever dies, and when they die, they are somehow resurrected. There is no sense or urgency or drama, because we know the end anyway. And even if one or maybe two heroes actually die (such as Iron Man - finally some kind of drama!), we still know what the end will be. Maybe because these are movies for children, but still, such a shame.
Natasha, Vision, OG Gamora, Iron Man, Heimdall, Warriors Three, Jane Foster, I am sure there are more. Of course people arguing this tend to be... what's the word... dishonest in their criticism as this is a staple of almost ALL action franchises.

It showed at the end of Love and Thunder that Zeus although wounded survived his own Thunderbolt going through him. I'm not sure about the other guards in Omnipotence City that appeared to be mowed down By Thor & company.
Zeus was such a joke, and they edited out the only moment of decency where he helped Thor. Since Russel Crowe is out of shape, they could've at least covered his arms. This movie generally made a joke of the gods. They tried to go full comedy, and it was just annoying
This is why modern M-she-U movies suck. No real threat, heavy cgi, had to include the "I'm gay" scene and there's no build up or tension. Compare it to the older MCU movies before "didney" got its grubby little hands on it and you'll see.

I didn't think the cgi was bad. The writing, the plot, turning Thor into an SNL parody skit, Turning Eternity into a wishing well.... Those are what ruined the movie, but I didn't have a problem with the cgi.

not true. BEATING one though...different story. Thor in Marvel comics proper can take on just about anyone in the greek pantheon except Zeus himself....this has been proven in comics on more than one occasion. Hercules, for example, MIGHT be a better wrestler/fighter....but for the most part all he has is his strength...and the storm related powers tip the balance. and even agaisnt Zeus....he can go a round or two before getting slapped down. but he HAS been slapped down, EVERY time., barring plot contrivances.

Taiki thought since we loved 3 he could just create a flat out comedy since he infused it in the last one. This was probably the biggest let down in all of Marvel next to dr strange MOM. Nothing serious no real threat…. No emotion. Nothing but jokes on even what was suppose to be serious scenes

This movie is a travesty played for cheap laughs. Zeus is the supreme being of his pantheon, and his power level is roughly equivalent to that of Odin. He's not some fat guy in a tutu mincing about Mount Olympus. He could defeat Thor without any effort, like Odin could defeat Hercules. Then there's the absurd scene of the Olympians swooning over Thor's body. Umm...there is that old saying "Like a Greek god". The Greek gods were noted for their physical perfection, and included Apollo, Eros and Adonis, the last being virtually synonymous with male beauty.

The fight scenes are painful to watch and Natalia Portman nor Tessa Thompson possess the natural fighting skills necessary to make the combat scenes believable. Slow down the fight scenes and I think you will be shocked at just how sloppy they are.

I understand that the gods have become corrupted in the film hence Gorr's mission but why would Thor kill a comedy Zeus and a legion of demi gods. That actually helps him. Only in a BS Disney world.
It showed at the end of Love and Thunder that Zeus although wounded survived his own Thunderbolt going through him. I'm not sure about the other guards in Omnipotence City that appeared to be mowed down By Thor & company.

Zeus was such a joke, and they edited out the only moment of decency where he helped Thor. Since Russel Crowe is out of shape, they could've at least covered his arms. This movie generally made a joke of the gods. They tried to go full comedy, and it was just annoying

This is why modern M-she-U movies suck. No real threat, heavy cgi, had to include the "I'm gay" scene and there's no build up or tension. Compare it to the older MCU movies before "didney" got its grubby little hands on it and you'll see.

not true. BEATING one though...different story. Thor in Marvel comics proper can take on just about anyone in the greek pantheon except Zeus himself....this has been proven in comics on more than one occasion. Hercules, for example, MIGHT be a better wrestler/fighter....but for the most part all he has is his strength...and the storm related powers tip the balance. and even agaisnt Zeus....he can go a round or two before getting slapped down. but he HAS been slapped down, EVERY time., barring plot contrivances.
Marvel made Zeus and Odin look like jokes in their movies but to be honest Thor is weak as hell compared to the comics, too.

Taiki thought since we loved 3 he could just create a flat out comedy since he infused it in the last one. This was probably the biggest let down in all of Marvel next to dr strange MOM. Nothing serious no real threat…. No emotion. Nothing but jokes on even what was suppose to be serious scenes

This movie is a travesty played for cheap laughs. Zeus is the supreme being of his pantheon, and his power level is roughly equivalent to that of Odin. He's not some fat guy in a tutu mincing about Mount Olympus. He could defeat Thor without any effort, like Odin could defeat Hercules. Then there's the absurd scene of the Olympians swooning over Thor's body. Umm...there is that old saying "Like a Greek god". The Greek gods were noted for their physical perfection, and included Apollo, Eros and Adonis, the last being virtually synonymous with male beauty.

The fight scenes are painful to watch and Natalia Portman nor Tessa Thompson possess the natural fighting skills necessary to make the combat scenes believable. Slow down the fight scenes and I think you will be shocked at just how sloppy they are.
