Camera guy 1: Shouldn't we alert them?
Camera guy 2: Nah, this is too exciting
Head Chief of security standing with a coffee behind them.
2 is right, we will never get to see something interesting like that ever again.
Make sure it has been recorded so we can watch it again
They ain’t watching the cameras 😂😂
Sounds about right
The camera guy is always asleep 😅
Ever wondered how this movie came to be😏😉
I really wish the whole sequence had ended with a security guard watching them pass the card back and forth on a security camera before hitting the alarm
At the very end just so he can laugh at the other guards for missing all those passes
He is sleeping
@@ZagryzaecThat's why Greg said "wish".
The realistic thing is to not hire a security guard *to watch cameras* for that one special moment that will [hopefully] justify his year's worth of pay. Cameras are mostly a deterrent/evidentiary thing.
@@GamerX998There's a big difference between your local convience store and whatever kind of apparently high security facility this is supposed to be.
This scene alone demands *WAY MORE* suspension of disbelief than I can provide.
the magicians in this movie are actually using magic because most of the stuff they do is impossible
@@poudioheadThey would run out of mana from all the magic they would need to make these tricks possible. lol
No way they have enough spell slots
On the other hand, I can provide that much suspension of disbelief on account of the sole reason that magician movie fun brrrrrrr
@camelliascholl6564 Yeah, I must've missed the part where it's supposed to be a *fantasy* flick.
Those guards portrayed game NPC's really well.
I think my favorite part about this scene is that it ultimately doesn’t actually work. Like yeah they hid the card, but the guards had been clued into the fact that they would by the fact that at some point they’d be acting like a bunch of monkeys.
What
Yeah wait till you find out it's a freaking movie
@@kostas919they seem pretty aware that its a movie
wtf did I read
@@dmitrygrv5661
In the actual movie. Like yeah they successfully get away with the card, but Woody Harrselson's evil twin character had told the guards to call him "when they started acting like monkeys". The guards couldn't spot the card but they could spot _tells_ that the Four Horsemen had grabbed the card. Which then allowed the bad guys to set in motion the next part of their plan.
Have you not seen the movie?
To everyone wondering why Jack didn't just keep the card afyer being patted down, later when Daniel is taking the card from Merrick we see a guard going over Jack with a hand held metal detector. If he still had the card the metal detector would have gone off. They had to keep passing it to prevent it from getting scanned.
Key word here is metal detector, I’ve never seen the movie but I don’t think this card has any metal in it lol
@@chrisesquibel13did you even read the title of the video :)
@@chrisesquibel13 just to give you the context, they carved out a part of the card in order to put an electronic chip on it that they stole from the lab. So they need to pass it down to someone with less security staff checking them
A wallet with metal on it and the card being sewn into the leather would have worked. The stitching would only have to be good enough not to tear apart when checked.
@@chrisesquibel13 Except the card has a metal chip inside it, there's a whole sequence at the end where they have to figure out how to slip it through giant metal detectors. Literally an entire plot point of the scene.
Security watching through the cameras: "Hmm, interesting."
😂😂
I’ve never seen this film and, after this scene, I don’t think I ever will.
its so dumb and such a fun movie
@@jakekayden4061 It’s definitely dumb, looking at this clip lol
Freezing rainfall and passing it off as a magic trick was the line for me
@@cylusonsteam that trick was explained in the movie. He didn’t actually freeze the rain
@@jakekayden4061 but this movie is dumb
Me hiding my report card from parents:
I feel like they searched them 10 times over just for the scene
Crct😂😂
High security place where shady people are entering acting all weird? Id search them 10 times as well
@max_garcia I'd have multiple guards search them, so there are eyes all around them constantly. Also, make it a strip search. Good luck hiding that card now :)
@@user-ot2ld8lw2w that’s what we say because we know the plan. Who could guess there’d be some cars throwing in a room full of people?
It's funny if there were security cameras in that highly secure room, the guard watching those cameras was probably alone playing some mobile game or watching youtube videos on his phone.
Dude was watching this video on this phone. 😅
Being fair you wouldn’t expect to have to look at the room full of guards searching people. That’d be considered waste of attention cause it could very well be a diversion. Also… I DONT think he’d notice the card. Just some hand flicking. Cameras aren’t that good at detecting small fast thin objects.
Why are people hating on this? Lol, like sure it's unrealistic how perfectly they're able to execute these moves, but it's fiction, thats what fiction is about. Personally I feel like that was extremely entertaining and cool to watch.
It's not only unrealistic, it's stupid because they're trying to hide the card by passing it around instead of just fucking hiding it.
@@zaryabkharal6426 If they hid it normally, them it would be found during the pat-downs/searches. They only ever moved or passed it when they were forced to
@@platinum9825 no. as soon as the first guy was searched he decided to throw it to his colleauge. this scene does not make sense, even logcially...
@@zaryabkharal6426 You must be fun at parties.
@@lolaboots7028 no because they are searched at the same time, camera is just on the person with the card
It seems like a lot of people are hating on this scene but I don’t understand why. To me this scene has always been fun and enjoyable to watch.
I’m not saying everyone has to like it, but it’s almost like the majority of people saying it’s stupid haven’t even watched the movie.
So, here’s some context.
Basically what’s happening is the main four characters were sent to this lab to steal a powerful computer chip (or something of the sorts).
The main issue they face is the giant metal detector outside of the room, because if they walk through it with the computer chip the alarm would go off.
Now, these four are magicians, and what they decide to do it stick the computer chip onto the playing card so they can pass it to one another IN CASE they cause suspicion and get a pat down. Which, surprise surprise they act suspicious, the computer has an error pop up, and the security guards are ordered to pat them down to make sure they didn’t steal anything/mess with the computer.
The main four are able to hide the playing card, and then at the end they silently coordinate an improv plan/diversion to get the computer chip through the metal detector. Making the security guards think it was actually spare change in the wallet that was setting off the alarm rather than the stolen piece of hardware.
A classic example of people speaking of what they don't even know about
It's stupid because only one person is needed to hold the card and do the tricks to fool the security guards, tossing it to other people is stupid and unnecessary (except for the metal detector part).
@@cerdaspediaindonesia8926 They were rechecked quite a few times. Plus this is fiction, not reality
@@adriantepes4355 still, no use to toss it to other people. And of course it's fiction, goddangit 😂😂🤣🤣
What is the title of the movie
That 4 minutes felt like a 20 minute drama
OMG me and friend did this exact same thing with our small bag of coke when the cops were searching us.
Just tuck it under your nuts.
Coke all right. :D
Who drinks coke from a bag? Wtf. Use cups like everyone else. Next you're going to tell me that you sniff it smh
Jesus, let me give this poor guy a laugh for the sake of it
haha
@@renkyrie Growing up in Mexico the local shop would charge extra for a coke if you didn't bring a used bottle to exchange. Or they would give it to you in a bag with a straw.
I love these movies. I've always been curious if card throwing with such accuracy and power is actually possible.
Same.
Nope.
Yeap,
I can do that ^_^
Most of the card throwing and tossing that they did is possible. The only cgi parts were when the camera followed behind the card
The Joker uses cards as shurikens
Everyone saying
“Why didn’t they just hold the card after getting patted down
1:56 jack is getting scanned with a metal detector in the background they would have cought it
Watching this made me begin to see the merits of a movie that says you can bend a bullet by whipping your gun arm really hard.
I like that movie too.
Underrated comment right there. I do find it odd how we as consumers pick and choose which unbelievable feats we accept and which we don’t. Like everyone seems to be ok with fast and furious nonsense, but this card trick is one they just won’t get behind. It’s funny.
The movie name is Wanted (2006)
That’s technically a comic book movie. It’s based on a comic book but regardless I get what you’re saying
@@georgen5882I don't like any of these movies.
This scene was exactly like what the guy said at the beginning of the clip. ‘Completely unnecessary’.
I love this movie. This scene is fantastic

Needed the 12, but the 20 is the cause of all the style going on.
Thanks for this comment! This scene is ridiculous bit i like how over the top it is.
Security Lead: Ok we should install cctv cameras for added security.
Boss: ADD MORE SECURITY GUARDS.
Security: But Si-
Boss: THEN JUST SEARCH THEM VERY THOROUGHLY
"Varion did absolutely great in this scene :)
Loved this movie. One of the slickest slight-of-hand scenes ever. Even though it's impossible, who cares.
Guards in Security Camera Room: “……..dafaq?”
This was always one of the coolest scenes in my opinion
no cameras in the security room LMAO
No idea why they had to pass it around. Judging by the first guy's skills, he can perfectly trick them alone.
Because of the metal detectors
Because the director wants more cgi actions
More people to watch on means more chances for tricks
Movies should be about fantasy. I love this scene
They literally could have just sewn the card into his wallet.
His wallet was confiscated before they went in and got it the card
@@Dark7ordjojo If it was sewing between the leather and had metal on the wallet itself, it would have gotten through just fine a hell of a lot safer than whatever the hell this scene was.
@@Dani-rp2pf you smart ima hit you up when I gotta do a heist like this we’ll make alot of boogers know what I’m saying
They are so good magician, they should just put the card in the pocket of a guard and take it back after. Done in 30 seconds withlut drama

The longest security check ever
You know what would be cool? If we invited some magicians to our super secret weapons facility, but don’t be nice to them, no no, but also bring them very close to critical facilities, for no particular reason.
Its obvious that you didn't watch this movie at all. Just so you know, they are disguising as professionals (doctors, tech experts, etc.) when they went inside.

My only concern is, why they bother tossing the card around when the security guard don't notice it.
this is my favorite scene when they try to hide the card LOL
Most intelligent scene in cinema
okay logically, If you just got searched and were able to hide the card, why pass it to your friend who is about to get searched when all you have to do is stand there? Even if the moves were realistic it wouldn't make sense
You must be fun at parties.
@@justicedemocrat9357 I believe he actually is. Because drinking too much and getting sick all over is not fun.
Exactly
Because if you're searched again, you're going to get caught. Keep the item moving.
everything he did before throwing the card is legit tho!
When the squad hides the test cheats
This scene is powerfully cool
When ur mind as kid goes crazy while playing whit ur toys and actionfigures.
Ignoring the obvious ridiculousness of this whole scene, am I being stupid or is everything that happens after Jack's search completely unnecessary? The guy was satisfied that he was not carrying any illicit items so what was the need for Jack to pass the card to anyone else? I must be missing something here surely
If ur talking about when they go through detector thing, that was because he was gonna be the first one to go through it and he would have no way to cover up why it would suddenly alarm at him

You really have to take into account that there were people who thought
“This is it” and put it on the story board
This sceen is so dumb yet i find it so funny every time
Yeah its dumb af but it was actually still entertaining. HENCE THE WORD MOVIE.
One of the greatest tricks I've ever watched
Why are they being patted down so much? 🤣
Step 1: let guards spend minutes checking every part of everyone.
Step 2: make everybody pass throw a mschine that does the same in one second.
Every game is played with a brand new deck of cards. If I were to see all those shiny new cards while one of them was worn off, discolored by sweat, and smelled accordingly, would I sit and pretend like I’m not being scammed right that very moment? Hmm… let me think… 🤔😂
All it takes is one breeze.
Am I the only one that liked this scene and this movie?
Nope
Surprisingly no. People actually seem to like these movies for some reason.
I like this movie
Nah. Lots of the top comments are just people who can't understand movies.
Unless you're smart enough to be able to suspend your disbelief as you should in most films. You won't be able to understand the point of film.
Awesome Card Passing Scene. But In Reality , Think This Doesn't Work Out By Professional Magicians 😱😱😱😳😳😳🤔🤔🤔
All of the asian gards they find look like the same person... 😆
That must have been an amazing computer, the chip was pulled out while running and no one knew a thing, even on a PC you need to remove the heat sink and even then I don't think that pulling the chip out would give excellent results. And even then they stole the chip to avoid harry potter from working and living anonymously (basically his invisibility cloak would be lost), what would prevent the company from simply creating a new chip, or are they planning a weekly tour ? so many questions, also after getting searched they throw the card to someone else who is still getting searched, why ??? And they ran diagnostics , how was that even possible without the CPU, and if still possible wouldn't the Motherboard shout , hey the CPU is missing ?
you just notice that this scene is just the Eye's plan to get Walter believe that there is a chip that can use the computer access.
when your teacher find out you cheating in class
Just put it in a bag of one of the inspectors and pull it out later.
I was waiting for them trying to empty the pockets of the woman, just for her to keep pulling things out...
I was going to say they could have thrown the card around the metal detector but there's a glass wall.
they hid it in a card because they can do it.
if i were to do the job, i would put it in a little magnetic field proof pocket
Why are people so hard on this scene , I just think it was a fun scene
Because it undermines the entire premise.

I heard a metal detector was involved and would have set it off
