    Thank you, Chad! I usually travel solo, and I spend a lot of time getting my Airstream level. This will be a real game-changer for me. I really appreciate your laid-back, informative style.

    Thanks for the video. I just bought one and the way you explained the steps was much better than a couple others I watched.
    Going back and forth can be very frustrating, but that's one way of getting our steps in though.... LOL

    Thanks for the video, was on the fence about how useful this would be vs just sticking with bubble level, and it seems like this is the way to go in the future.

    I lived mine that unfortunately, I forgot to remove when we sold the trailer. Now that we bought another, I’m trying to save up a little to get another. It is an incredibly helpful piece of technology that frankly, is perfect even from my truck, just using the app on my phone. Great video and I hope we win!!!! Thanks!

    Thanks for the info. The level mate pro is definitely something we've been looking into. For the last dozen years or so, I have checked for level by putting 2 cans of beer on the floor; one side to side and one front to back. Once the trailer is level, I get to drink the beers. It's fairly accurate and incredibly motivating. 🤣 Very happy for you, Laura and Rosie and your beautiful Airstream. Enjoy.

    The water level is really enough to do your readings. Nothing else. I really was NOT laughing at you, I was frustrated. But the reality of setting this gadget up, with someone like you, someone to smile at, is an eye opener. Thankyou very much for the step by step setup in your own reality show. Because of you, I will look further into this gadget, to make my life easier with my leveling of my RV here in Europe.

    Good video. My wife and I recently bought the exact same Airstream that you have. 2020 year, 25 ft Flying Cloud, and rear twin beds. Thank you for taking those measurements for me.

    Chad, I have had a Level Mate Pro in both my Basecamp 20X and my Flying Cloud 27FBT. As a solo traveler this device is imperative. To be able to pull into a site and watch the position of my trailer right on my phone as I pull through allows me to find the most level spot even before I use my Anderson levelers. A foot or less either direction sometimes provides a much more level spot. Then when I add the Anderson levelers on the side that needs to be elevated I can watch it again right on the phone and stop at a perfect 0.00 (green) on both sides. Then when I am unhitched from my TV I simply watch my phone as I lower or raise the front jack to once again have a perfect 0.00 front to back. BTW I installed the unit on the front facing wall under the bedroom TV.

    I believe this is a must have for just about all RVers. I installed one of these on my 27fbt and I must say they help make RV set up a lot easier. I mounted mine in the driver's side storage under the twin bed. This makes it easy for me to turn on the Level Mate because I just get out of my truck & walk back 20 feet. This also allows the Level Mate to be closer to my phone when I am using the app while I am in my truck. I also have Anderson leveling blocks for side to side leveling & these along with the Level Mate Pro make RV setup easier & quicker.

    I've been looking at the level mate pro, power monitoring and also something to help with the dog inside the rv so this video was very helpful regarding the level mate, looking forward to the others. I also use the doors to validate how level the rig is. The level mate pro would help very much due to having a bad bac and being able to use it via the app. Currently I use a long level on the floor which works great but lots of bending over. Enjoyed the video, keep 'em coming.

    We use a Base Pad Extreme from Stromberg Carlson under our jack. It gives the jack help as it gives us 7 extra inches. Makes it so much easier to level and you don’t run out of run with the jack.

    Good info and video. I've had the Levelmate Pro on my fifth wheel for a year now. Would I recommend it? YES. But I also have Lippert Ground Control 3.0 auto level stabilization system and no matter how many times I calibrate my Ground Control with my Levelmate Pro, they almost never match, especially front to rear. Side to side is very close but never front to rear. It is always at least 3 inches difference front to rear. The side to side level was the important one for me when getting a rough level before unhooking the truck.

    Hey Chad! Appreciate the video. Great device. One tip I will suggest would be putting the Level Mate Pro device inside an outside accessible storage compartment on the driver's side of the vehicle. That way when you arrive at a campground you can just pop out of the driver's door, open the compartment, and turn it on when you are checking in and it will be ready to go when you get to your camp site. I see @toshlito actually already mentioned this!

    • @ChadsRVReviews

      Inside the outside storage is a great idea! I may have to move mine now!

  • @905Metalhead
    @905Metalhead 3 місяці тому

    For anyone interested, a great spot to install is on the drivers side of your front pass through storage. This will keep you close for Bluetooth connection, and give easy access to turn the unit on when you arrive at your site.

    I've had a Level Mate Pro in a drawer for 7 months because of the time to run back-and-forth to get it set up. Tried and failed at my storage facility and at a campsite. The level wasn't repeatable with my leveling blocks (edited to add: same carpenter's level too). The struggle is real, like in the video. I wish Level Mate could do a zero calibration on a level bench, assuming a vertical reference, like Mopeka gas tank sensors. Oh yeah. RIP tongue jack. 🙃

    Thanks for the video. One thing I always struggle with leveling is where to place the level. I have found there’s a bid of variance with the floor from front to rear. Did you find that an issue? I was thinking to use the level at the axle position. Love the Set position function!

    • @ChadsRVReviews
      @ChadsRVReviews  6 місяців тому +1

      I think over or near the axle is the best place for using a level. But I think the main thing to do is make sure it “feels” level before you tell the level mate pro that it’s level. That’s why I checked the doors before telling the level mate pro that it was level. I hope that helps!

    Goid video! I have ordered the Pro plus version and plan to hardware it in. My question is, if I only camp once a month, does it stay calibrated if the Pro plus is not being powered? Not sure I've seen anyone address that.

    Nice Video.... so how do your charge your LMP if you don't have power near by to plug the charge cord in? Can you use a portable cell phone charger?

    • @ChadsRVReviews
      @ChadsRVReviews  Місяць тому

      The one we have is not chargeable- it has a button-cell battery that is replaceable. The LMP+ is chargeable via mini USB, I imagine you could use a portable charger!

    I have a LevelMatePro and recommend you NOT buy it. Instead, buy the Level Mate Pro + (Plus). The concept is good if it was reliable.
    Here's the problem with the Pro: The on/off switch is so tiny you must use your fingernail. Half the time it slips off so you're not sure if it's on or not.
    It promises a 'beep' but mine has never beeped. It gets confused by other Bluetooth devices nearby. I stand next to mine with the app open until I see it connect, then I touch nothing. How long does the battery last? Until you really, really need it, then it's dead.
    The Pro+ addresses most of those issues, I just hate to buy two because the first was a bad design. The concept is fantastic!
