    I think one of the top things I carry is roofing repair tape. Other than just wear, a branch can fall or you might hit one in the campground. And of course rain will be right around the corner, if you have my luck. Also, lubricants for slides, seals, doors, come in handy, as well as a spare propane connector line. These tend to leak over time.

      Yes - eternabond is a must carry and you are right - will always need at the most inconvenient time! And agree - a can of lubricant is always a good item to have on hand. Hadn't thought of the propane connector line - thank you for the suggestion. Will need to look into that. Thanks for watching!

    Great video. Loved the intro and tacos. 😂😂. Made us both laugh. You guys are really creative. One thing Bill carries is 1/2 in. Pex water line, some various fittings, clamps and crimping tool and Pex cutter. The last two would be in his toolbox. The bloopers cracked us up.

      Ha! Thanks - Troy loves to come up with the goofy stuff lol. Great tip on the pex items - I think Troy has those also in his bag but will double check :). How was the trip? Video upcoming?

    Hi guys! Nice list! I carry some of those but you’ve got some good ones I hadn’t thought of. Oh, and I bet Linda enjoyed the heck out of throwing water on you… several times! 🤣🤣

      lol! Hi Lee - it’s Linda. And yes - it did take a few takes! But, I hate being on the roof so figured it was a trade off lol. Thanks for the watch as always. Hope you guys are doing well!

    Those are some good suggestions. I'm one of those people who's stripped one of those window handles. Definitely have a spare now.
    Cody and I are currently parked in a secure undisclosed location (well, a Cracker Barrel parking lot in Arizona) en route to Baja. Nothing's broken so far. Rough drive, though. We were facing 40-50 mph winds most of the way here. Off to El Centro, CA tomorrow to spend the night so we can attempt the border crossing first thing in the morning on Tuesday. Cody's brushing up on his Spanish. So far, he's learned "No." Fortunately, that's the word he hears most...

      @WinesPinesandCanines  6 місяців тому

      It is not hard to strip the handles - ours spin a bit too freely so thinking will be using those spares soon!
      HAHA - it is good that Cody is brushing up! Glad that he seems to be enjoying his adventures. Stay safe out there with the weather!! Let us know how the trip goes.

    Good tips.
    I carry a tarp or old shower curtain for those times when having to lie on the ground for a repair or inspection could prove icky.

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi Leon! Yes!! Great suggestion as it will always be after a downpour when you have to crawl under a camper haha. We always carry a few of the black contractor size garbage bags. Can use as a poncho, tape it down over something to keep it dry or cut it open and use as a tarp!

    Thanks for all the spare parts info. I'm a huge fan of carrying spare parts. I don't have most of these on hand...Time to shop before the season starts. Thanks as always for all the GeoPro advice. I appreciate it.

      I didn't think to mention this, but we carry a set of bearings and a seal for the axle, pre-greased and vacuum sealed in a food bag in case something happens. It keeps things clean and ready to go. Of course, we need to carry the tools to change them out, but it doesn't take much.

      Thank you! Some of these we have had break on this camper or our class c we had prior so we learned to bring spares. And the others we have seen people online asking about repairing - so we research and add to ours. If it breaks on one camper - chances are it will break on another lol. And yes - it is always taco time!

    Great video! Early on in the video I was thinking that the Gorilla tape you recommend could handle most things! OMG, 9Volt batteries, and fuses super important!! I have started to build my own camper tool kit, but it is too big! I can't to see what you guys decide. I am sure it will applicable to almost every person with a camper. Only got to see Desi at the end for a second, I pray Desi is doing ok!

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  6 місяців тому

      Hi! First - remind us - when is the new camper arriving? And lol - we know how it is with the tool bag. Trying to be prepared for every situation adds some weight! But we think we have it at a manageable amount but wanted to see what suggestions everyone had :) And thank you on Desi - he is still doing well. A little older and a little quieter but he turns 11 next week and we didn't think we would have him so very grateful!

    Our camper will be 3yrs old this season, and I’m going to buy a spare water pump just in case.

    • @WinesPinesandCanines
      @WinesPinesandCanines  6 місяців тому

      Good suggestion! No water pump while boondocking would certainly impact a trip. Ours seems to be acting up here and there so might need to look into replacements to have on hand. Hopefully something quieter lol. Thanks for watching.
