Great videos! Wife and I just put down a deposit on a 2023 16BH. This helps me plan to be ahead of everything before it arrives. After watching a several of your videos I did add another solar panel to the rig which should give me 400 watts. Hopefully that will help with boondocking. Also advised the dealer to remove the flooded batteries as I plan on two LiFePO4 batteries. Dealer wanted over 1K for each, I think not I'll bring my own. I did speak to Forest River and they added an auto selector for the batteries on the 2023 models so shouldn't be an issue. Your videos certainly are a great influence on how I ordered and am planning the set-up. Thank you two so much!
Thank you for watching! So glad you have found them helpful! 400 watts and two lithium should be a great set up! Agreed that buying the lithium yourself is likely the best way to go. And thanks for the info on the converter - good to know! Happy camping and please let us know how your travels go!
Good afternoon to you two! This is a great video and so well presented! These are definitely tips to be aware of to prevent or fix items that could delay or cancel a trip! And, to boot, some of these items are not specific to geo pros. One of my main take aways from this is to MAKE SURE you have a wrench/socket for every manual item in the event that the electric motor goes kaput. And...those touchy swinteck slide tracks will be on the rig that we've ordered. I'll me making a slide retention stick before departing! Safe travels!
Evening to you! and thank you! Seems like all of these campers are put together with parts from the same manufacturers (for the most part) so we tried to reach past just the GeoPro's. And yes on the slide! We haven't had any issues with this one but our Class C (it was an older one so didn't have a schwintek slide) actually came out approx 6" while going down the road! We got a slide lock immediately lol. Safe travels to you as well!
Thanks for posting these great tips! Never had the problem with the slideout stuck in the extended position but now I know what to do. Also like the note on the flea collar for the propane tanks - I'm always finding spiders in mine.
I have a 2018 19FBS and love it. Had a couple issues that were covered under warranty: fridge compressor died, and my awning motor died too. Luckily the Awning was not extended. The stove seems a bit flimsy and the cover rattles off every trip, but that's easy to set right at the campsite. The trailer tows wonderfully.
2018 was the first year I believe? They really do tow great and are pretty sturdy overall. Have had a few small issues as well but that we expect as it is a camper lol. Glad the fridge and awning were under warranty - imagine those would be expensive. And agree on the stove (we don’t have the oven). We have to frequently tighten everything up as well. But overall we have been very happy as well!
Great info, thanks! May I suggest adding a little strap loop as a grab “handle” to pull open your under sofa door. I am going to be hinging mine when my trailer finally arrives.
I don’t have one of these trailers but this video is excellent. It encouraged me to think deeper about my rig, how to improve systems, and to be better prepared for our next trip. Thanks so much!
Thank you for watching! We are glad that it was helpful for you as well! We tried to mix it up with some GeoPro items and some that almost everyone will find in their camper. Safe travels!
I really like my gas frige on my micro lite. I have two thirty pound cylinders runs nearly forever. I put a remote temperature sending unit in my freezer and can monitor the freezer while going down the road. Only cost around 10 bucks at Wal-Mart.
I love your videos! I just started living in my 2020 geo pro 19fbs and I can’t figure out how to reboot the Wi-Fi extender. I see your instructions but I’m not sure where the connection is for me to unplug.
Hi! Thank you and thanks for watching - appreciated! So not sure if they made a change in 2020 (think there were some changes late in 2020 and at some point, the wifi ranger has changed) but ours just has a on / off switch. Do not remember having to unplug (rewatched the video to remind myself lol as haven't had to reset for a few years!). So, where it says reboot, I just turned it off, waited and then turned it back on. Hope that helps!!
So excited to find your informative videos! Have watched a few and we are in the process of doing some changes. And have learned about the inventor and as the exhaust fan vent! Thank you and please keep us informed!
A word of warning on the factory-installed inverter: When I received mine, the inverter was running all the time. Fortunately, it was hooked up to shore power, so it didn't kill the batteries, but I couldn't figure out what the fan noise was, and the indicator light on the remote switch wasn't on. I eventually figured out where the inverter was (it's under the forward dinette seat on my 19QB), and after getting out the inverter manual, I discovered that the main power switch was in the wrong position. Turning the main switch on disables the remote switch. All I had to do was flip the switch off, and now the remote switch works.
Thanks for the tip! We haven’t had any issues with ours but that is great info if anyone has the same issue. Hope you have been enjoying it since! Thanks for watching!
Pretty sure she's a juvenile black widow. Her color will fill in as she ages. The brown widow's body shape is slightly different, a bit more crusty looking. And living near SoCal deserts I've gotten to know both of the little buggers quite well. And they're my least favorite companions when working on my own RV. All bitey and skittery and they won't even hand me a single tool when I ask no matter how nicely. Just hangs there in her web, judging with all those beady little eyes... Thank's for all the specifics on the Geo Pro. That window hack was sweet as hacks go. Nice one! Our next rig is looking likely to be either the FBS or the FD. That murphy bed is put together far better that it lets on to. I looked at one at a dealer and the sales guy was kind enough to let me really dig into it. One thing that's hard to envision on the FD until you see one in person is how when the murphy is up it feels as open as a slide equipped model but without having a slide. And even with the bed down nothing is inhibited. My only wish is that on the FDS (FD with a slide) Rockwood would offer an option with the galley curbside and with your sofa in the slide. It would be very roomy in there with that config when the murphy bed is up. That would be perfect for the wife and I.
Hahaha on the spiders not being handy! And yes - we were pretty sure that it was a black widow and makes you take a second look before reaching in anywhere! We have found them in concrete blocks but was surprised to find it in with the propane. Glad you enjoyed the video! And yes, we were a little unsure on the murphy bed lasting which is one reason we chose the FBS but looking at Facebook groups online, people are very happy with that model as well so we are encouraged by the construction. And you are correct - it does feel roomy (and we really liked the bigger bath!) I agree on the new FDS. I have also heard that (but haven't confirmed in person) you can't put the bed down with the slide in. If that is true, makes it difficult for things like quick overnights where you don't want to put the slide out. Thanks for watching and safe travels!
Great videos guys, we are excited to get our new 2023 E-PRO 19FD. With the window modification in this video, could you cut the plastic insert shorter to make the windows open up even farther? Thanks for all your helpful tips!
Congrats on the new camper! The 2023 models have some fantastic upgrades we are very jealous of! So, we could have trimmed them shorter but we didn’t want to put too much pressure on the metal arms. Decided to try about halfway - works well to let the air in and no problems - almost 2 years now!
I also own a Geo Pro 19FD. Before finding your channel I made several modifications that mirrored your changes. You do a nice job on your videos. I don't know if the Geo Pro 19FD folks ever have a meet up but I think it would be fun. Let me know if you know if there is such a thing. Thanks!
Thank you for the positive comment and the watch! So, there are a few pretty active Facebook groups for GeoPro/Epro owners. Haven't heard of any scheduled yet and the last few years have been difficult for group organizing but have seen more people inquiring on the groups mostly region by region. Maybe this summer. Will keep watch out and let you know if we hear anything!
All great tips! Will do most, if not all on our 2020 Geo-Pro 19 fbs this spring. Wondering if you might like to do a "winterization" vid. The manufactures info is generic and pretty sketchy. I had a local RV guy do ours this winter, but would like to do ours myself in the future. I'm enjoying your vids! Keep em coming. Thanks!
Thanks for the comment! Yes - that is on our radar. Meant to do one this winter and had a cold snap come up quick so couldn't take the time to film us doing it. Thanks for watching and happy camping!

Holy schamolizes, what an excellent and helpful video. I have a question if you have ever had a similar experience. I have a GeoPro 2019 FD. I have an ongoing issue with the solar panel. It will work for several days then stop charging. If I go up on the roof and disconnect the solar panel and touch both the positive and negative polls from the solar panel with a wire it arches and starts charging again. I have been to GOPower and a RV service center. Neither can tell me why this is happening.
Thank you for the comment and the watch! Wow! That is not an ordinary issue!! We have not had this problem but disappointing that an RV service center could not diagnose. Maybe an issue with wiring? We would likely reach out to an electrician for some guidance if we had that issue and the service center couldn’t help. Have you contacted Forest River - maybe they have someone they recommend in the area? Please keep us updated!
When you were demonstrating the temperature control for the fridge I noticed the thermistor wasn't connected. That little round knob on the end of the white wire that's laying below the plastic slide should actually be inserted into the slide. Moving that up and down is what gives you your temperature control.
Yes! Thank you and great tip. We noticed that our fridge recently had been very cold and saw that there was nothing attached to the control and we put two and two together haha! Thanks for watching!
Great video. I just got mine and am learning a lot from all you videos. I wonder if you have heated tanks ? My pipes froze the first night I got home and while I don’t plan to spend a lot of time in the cold it seems like it may not be hard to add just looking for some advice.
Thank you! We don't have heated tanks - we live in NC and don't do much camping in the north in the winter. We have thought about putting them on as some have added them but so far, we haven't had any trouble without them. We have camped in high 20's with no problem as long as we are running the heat.
You have great videos on Geo Pro's. I have roller shades like yours. One of my shades the tension is gone. I have tried to adjust but no luck. I can't even find the brand. Any advice or help?
Thank you- appreciate the kind words! So that just happened to us as well - it wouldn't go up anymore. Took the valance off (if you get underneath you can unscrew the valance without having to take the bracket out of the wall). Then it was easier to get to the shade. On ours, there were little wheels on either side that tighten / loosen. We just played with it for a bit and it did tighten back up and works again. We have it on the list to do a quick video before we reinstall everything. But I couldn't find the brand either. If it still won't work, I would contact Forest River - you should be able to buy a replacement. It does just snap on and off brackets once you remove the valance. Hope that helps!
Hi there! What a fantastic video. We’ve had our FBS going on 2 years and I can t wait to replace the sink and faucet. Can you link the sink & faucet? Thanks.
Thank you! Are you happy with the camper? We are really pleased so far with ours. This is the link for the sink and faucet but it is 10" deep so did require some modification to the plumbing and drawer. If you didn't want to do that, you may want to look into the new sinks that Forest River are installing in the new 2021 FBS. I have heard of some people being able to order directly from Forest River. I believe they are only 6" deep and would likely be an easier install. Hello, just found your channel and this video by chance. I have a 19FD EPro and like you said the models are basically the same. After watching your video I just got done fixing my blind shade that fell off and also moved up the plastic finn in the refrigerator. I turned off the battery seeing that our unit is hooked up to electrical in our garage and i might tackle the window opening soon. I tried to turn off the inverter but it won't go off so I'll have to figure that out. I will subscribe to your channel and see what else you can help me with. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFO.
Thank you for the very kind comment and glad it was helpful! For the inverter - not sure where the actual inverter is in the 19fd (ours is behind a panel in the closet) but there is a switch on ours that allows for remote function (i think it says “remote” on the actual inverter box). You may need to switch that on or off for the green light to operate on the panel that is visible. We have never had that issue but have seen others that did and believe that solved it.
Hi! There is unfortunately not. There is a panel on the front of the shower pan that is held on with screws. We have taken that off to look underneath before and the elevated pan allows for the plumbing that runs from the drain to the gray tank. There may be a way to modify (never say never lol) but have not seen anyone do it.
What type hitch/weight distribution/sway bar combination do you have? Thinking about getting same camper and I have a 2019 tundra crew cab. Also I have zero experience in towing... Thank you for any advise/help you can give.
We bought the following off Amazon - www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0071L3SO6?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title&th=1 It has been great - we can back up without taking the bars off which is one of the reason we chose it. Also - the Anderson weight distribution hitches are very popular from what we read. As far as towing, the tundra does great - we hardly know it’s back there! But that also makes it hard to keep to under 65 mph as the tundra does not want to go that slow haha. We did install the hitch ourselves but then had our mechanic tighten everything. We would recommend if you haven’t towed before, purchase your hitch and have the dealer install so it’s at the right height, etc. They can then show you how to hitch and unhitch. Linda had not towed the camper before this year. We showed that in another of our videos but she was surprised how easy it towed. Takes some getting used to with turns, pulling into traffic and definitely backing up. Practicing in an area with little to no traffic is a good way to get experience. Thanks for watching and if you have any other questions please reach out. Will help if we can!
Hi! Thanks for watching and congrats on the new camper! So, we never installed one. Rockwood provided one but was up to owners to install. We didn’t want to install on the wall as such a tight space. The side of the cabinet is so close to shower, we figured it would get wet there. So, we keep it in the lower cabinet or on the floor tucked back by the wall common to the fridge. We have seen a few people mount it to the inside of the door on the cabinet though which seems like it would be a good spot! Hope that helps!
Random question, Do you know why my LED strip on the front of the GEO camper would be dim after getting my new electric tongue jack installed? Batteries are at 100%..
Hi! That is strange - maybe a wire is now loose? It is possible that it may be a coincidence - have heard of others having to replace. We ordered a replacement from Forest River just to have in case it went out. I think it was approx $10-15 plus shipping.
I do believe it will. We changed out the stabilizers early on and use a drill/adapter for the stabilizers. And we carry a few sockets for other items so haven’t ever used the hand crank. But always good to have manual backups - thanks for mentioning!
We bought this hose - www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07FRYP6HS?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title. Directly connected to the fire pit and to the quick connect.
What would happen if you didn't put that rubber piece back into the window? Did you all try that to see how far it would go without it at all? Is there a reason against doing that? Thanks
So we could have removed it - the metal arms would just extend fully out. But, didn’t want to put too much pressure on those and end up having to replace. Removing some of the rubber piece gave us enough air but we also feel those arms aren’t over extended that way. We figured - start with some and see if it helps!
Thinking about getting a geo-pro,lightly used hopefully. Any thoughts on the fridge? I’m used to a 3 way fridge. Would you prefer the 2-way for any reason? Why did they go to the 12V only on the newest and what do you think of them? I’d mostly be hooked to shore power, very occasionally boondocking but do need my dog food cold (fresh meat) for dog shows on so me times very long drives.
We have a 2 way - propane and electric only. Would love to have the option of running it off the battery like the 3 way provides. The new 12V fridges seem to be a popular trend - have seen them in a few different manufacturers lately. From what we have read with owners, they seem to be happy overall. Its a bigger fridge inside and gets cool quite a bit quicker. But they do use more battery than the 2 way. If you have a good battery setup with solar and sun, I would think it would be a good option. And if I did mostly shore power / campgrounds - would think this would be a much better option. Hope that helps!
I ended up finding an almost new ( so new that the previous owners didn’t know to turn on the hot water heater and had never had hot water) I have the newer 12 volt refrigerator and I can’t believe how much better it is than any of the 2 or 3-way fridges I’ve had previously! Anyway, I am so glad that I found this wonderful little 19FBS, it’s perfect for my needs and much nicer than my 2016 RPOD.
Thank you for the follow up! If our fridge goes, will likely replace with the 12V - good to know it’s an improvement. Happy camping and please let us know of your adventures!
I have one issue every time I go camping when I arrive my 15 amp fuse for the appliance blows it only happens in transit when I’m camping nothing happens so now before I go traveling I pull the fuse n put it back in at the campsite any thoughts I can’t find any info on untuned I have a geopro 19fd
Hi! That is an issue we have not heard of yet and we routinely read online forums to see what issues people are having. If it is only happening on travel days - do you have the camper plugged into your tow vehicles 7pin connector? If so - I would maybe have that looked at to see if there was something causing the fuse to blow. And the appliance - do you mean the fridge?
It’s not just the fridge it says appliances but also the switches for the control panel where all your buttons n switches are I’m just wondering if it was the 7 way pin on my vehicle wouldn’t other fuses blow it’s very frustrating I could just take it to the dealer but that’s $$$$$$ so ya
has there been any issues with the windows opening more since you have done it. has it made that much more of a difference i think i want to do it to mine
Hi - thanks for watching! We haven't had any issues. We did the mod to two of the windows and they have been just fine over the past 18 months. But, we have seen others remove them completely or cut most of the plastic piece away - not sure we would do that much. The little metal arms may at that point extend too far and possibly break. They are repairable (we did a video on parts and troubleshooting the frameless windows recently) but it isn't a simple or inexpensive repair. But, just cutting a small portion off has made a big difference and we haven't had any issues so far! Hope that helps!
That item we aren't positive on. We looked at those when we did our spare parts video - thinking of carrying an extra bulb on the road just in case. But looks to be in all in one item. Thinking the whole tailight has to be replaced, not just the cover but haven't found what would be needed just yet (and luckily haven't had it be an issue). If you find out - would love to know. Keeping a spare is not a bad idea!
So if you use your showermizer. Boondocking or not. The water that comes out of your shower go's back into your fresh water tank? That sounds gross. Unless I'm missing something. Would'nt that make your fresh water unsuitable for drinking and cooking if you did that?
So it’s the freshwater tank that recirculates. Not the grey. Instead of turning on the water and letting it run to get hot (wasting water into the grey), the water recirculates through the lines (it doesn’t come out of the shower head or faucet - just goes straight back to the fresh). So it is freshwater recirculating - not the shower gray water. Then when the shower miser turns color, you know the water is hot, turn the knob and the hot water comes out of the shower head. It was strange to us the first time but a neat feature for boondocking!

Inside the article is a link to the charts for lithium. Hope this helps! learnmetrics.com/lead-acid-battery-voltage-chart-for-6v-12v-24v-48v-batteries/

Thanks for posting. Clear and useful.
Thank you! Appreciate you watching!
Extremely helpful. Thanks
Thanks for watching and glad you found the tips helpful! Safe travels!
Great info, thanks! May I suggest adding a little strap loop as a grab “handle” to pull open your under sofa door. I am going to be hinging mine when my trailer finally arrives.
Yes - great tip! Sometime you get so used to what you are doing that you don't think of an even better solution!
@@WinesPinesandCanines can’t see the forest through the pines, so to speak.
Ha! So true.
This video REALLY helped me!
So glad we could help! Thanks for watching!
I really like my gas frige on my micro lite. I have two thirty pound cylinders runs nearly forever. I put a remote temperature sending unit in my freezer and can monitor the freezer while going down the road. Only cost around 10 bucks at Wal-Mart.
Thanks for the tip - we love gadget items so definitely going to see about getting one of those! Thanks for watching.
I’ve learned a lot already from your videos. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for watching! Safe travels!
So excited to find your informative videos! Have watched a few and we are in the process of doing some changes. And have learned about the inventor and as the exhaust fan vent! Thank you and please keep us informed!
Thank you for watching! Glad you were able to pick up some tips. Do you also have the 19fbs or another model?
And you are correct - it does feel roomy (and we really liked the bigger bath!)
I agree on the new FDS.
Thank you for the advice. Yes, we’re really excited and will be doing several modifications you recommend. Cheers.

@@WinesPinesandCanines I'll look for the inverter somewhere because the remote button doesn't turn it off. Thanks again and happy camping
Is there a shorter shower pan option for this model? I stood in one the other day and my head touch the skylight.
We bought the following off Amazon - www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0071L3SO6?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title&th=1
It has been great - we can back up without taking the bars off which is one of the reason we chose it.
@@WinesPinesandCanines Thank you so much. Purchased one today. Supposed to pick up this weekend!
Hi there, newbie here and have my 2021 19fbs in storage. Wondering what kind of TP holder you installed and where you put it? Thanks in advance.
@@WinesPinesandCanines Thanks! I have learned a lot watching your videos. I just need to find a Troy 😂🤣

I put small wood rods in my mini blinds. I cut the rods to size.
That is a great tip! The plastic rod they have along the bottom just doesn't last that long before it comes off.
Doesn't your stabilizer jack crank also work with the electric tongue jack override? The lugs are the same on my R-Pod.
I do believe it will. We changed out the stabilizers early on and use a drill/adapter for the stabilizers. And we carry a few sockets for other items so haven’t ever used the hand crank. But always good to have manual backups - thanks for mentioning!
I notice that you have a propane fire ring. How did you adapt the connector for the quick connect under the rig?
Do you have a link to the shower diverter?
Hi! If you mean the showermiser - it comes standard with these campers (have never seen one sold aftermarket). Thanks!
@@WinesPinesandCanines thanks for all the great info have learned so much from you guys appreciate it all

How do I remove tailight cover from 2019 geo pro 19fd
