The affiliate links in the description now work for US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain!
Oh no. I already ordered my wet palette, a few days ago and the old affiliate didn't work for germany. I might have to order the other stuff though :D
No worries, my friend! Thanks for the consideration!
have amazon changed their policy on announcing the affiliate links in videos? quite a few people had their chennels removed from the scheme for doing just that last year
Michael Ormiston no idea, dude!
no worries just thought id mention it
As an iron Warrior
“Masters of Siege: The Imperial Fists.”
*MY IRON WITHIN IS TRIGGERED*
Perturabo the Heretical why you bitching
Alpharius Gesuses at least he didn’t outclassed by the ravenguard
@@theguardsmen412 Raven Guard and Alpha Legion have different tasks they specialize on. Raven Guard is Special Operations, like the Navy Seals, while Alpha Legion is Covert Operations, like CIA. In a similar way, Iron Warriors and Imperial Fists have a different approach to battle. Iron Warriors specialize in sieging fortifications, while Iron Fist specialize more in *defending* sieged fortifications.
There are certain overlaps between all of those, and all Legions have to do all kind of things in the battlefield, not only they specialization (White Scars sometime have to defend, Imperial Fists sometimes have to use infiltration tactics, Raven Guard sometimes have to use tanks and artillery, and so on), but each Legion specialize in a particular way.
Your iron is rusty, much like your primarch.
@Hyperbole 100 I am an IW too. Iron Within!
"Am I starting to like space marines?.....no"
One trick I’ve learned doing freehand; dullcoat the model before you get started, then use a pencil to lay down your design. If you mess it up, the dullcoat allows you to really use an eraser pretty hard to clean it off.

You mean "AKILA"
@@Gekiko7167 it’s not even the two headed eagle known as the Aquila, it’s the Imperialis. Going back to 2nd Edition Codex Ultramarines, the winged skull seen on Astra Militarum helmets and Space Marine plastrons are referred to as the Imperialis, which is retained in the recent GW animation, Armouring of a Space Marine, in which the Ultra accepts the Imperialis ‘humbly, a symbol of loyalty unbroken’ as the plastron goes over his chest.
@@lt.branwulfram4794 Dude, this a joke I made 2 years back about how Miniac pronounced it...
Dorn came out today, good timing
Damn, that face is realistic. If there's one thing you know how to do Scott, it's how to get the most out of a mini. Once again, nice work man!
>masters of siege
> imperial fists
*IRON WARRIORS LAUNCH ORBITAL VIRUS-BOMBING*
Wow so I've been on the fence about getting into WH40K, mainly because of the painting and actual construction of the minis, but man you've just inspired me to start. Thanks for all the great videos.
start using heroin, it`ll be cheaper
I have spent a ludicrous amount of time painting imperial fists over the years. Doing an entire force is madness and I could feel your pain deep down in my soul.
I'm a simple man. I see Miniac "Eavy Metal Marines, I click like. Would love to see Space Wolves here. Keep up the absolutely wonderful work, I live for your updates
Yes please! Some Space Wolves love !
Greetings from Chile !
*FORTIFYING THIS POSITION*
I REALLY like this long format with a table of contents in the beginning. Great style and keep it up!
Scott, I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets bent out of shape painting such light color models. Great technical vid. I'll reference this a lot.
Brilliant job, stealing this idea to change my whole army from Blood Angels to Imperial Fists now thanks!
Dude, been fun watching your skills improve through this 'Eavy Metal series. This guy is especially well done. Yellow is a gargantuan pain and probably the bane of mini painters the world over. Well done. Seriously great stuff.
That looks Adornable!
A drill lathe, a scratch built metal fence and picture hanger wire barbed wire is the kind of resourcefulness I admire
don't forget the images on the box art are most likely color enhanced and photoshopped to absolute perfection
It wouldn't surprise me if they don't do the box art pix on specially made 2x sized 3D prints
@@LittlePixelTM They dont, you can find loads of the box art minis on display at warhammer world
I nod/headbang my head as i paint when I'm listening to music and sometimes stop and use my paint brush as a drum stick
Brilliant, the sarcasm really makes the video to. Very impressive model
Awesome - I've just finished a bunch of Imperial Fist terminators, which I did in a completely different way ... but ended up with really similar appearances - Great Video as usual :D
Yes. These long takes are what i missed in the previous videos. Slowly spinning, so we can see every detail and stop the video with a clear frame. Perfect.
Getting back into painting minis again thanks to your videos. Gonna try my hand at the Imperial Fists and I'm going to be taking a lot of the advice in this vid.
YES! My favourite loyalist chapter
For painting lines in to the figure, I found that using a micro-pen with a .05 mm or .1 mm tip was fantastic.
Dude your channel is so awesome, production values are fantastic so is the content, I hope you get the fan base you deserve, sub button destroyed
Considering buying the Dark Imperium set and painting the space marines in your scheme, this is simply too beautiful not to ste- *ahem* copy.
Awesome mini, great job. Love your channel. Great stuff to see. Thanks for the tips
Nice! This is the best mini paint chanel that I found. Finaly I learned how to paint a mini with a decent visual.
Your videos are really good Scott.
Recesses came out so good on the yellow armor. Miss painting these!
Tip I got from Steve Bowerman and Tom Moore, of citadel army painting team glory, was to base IF with a 50:50 mix of Yriel yellow and Averland sunset. This is definitely a less vibrant colour than the box art marine but seems to suit IF's style. Either way my experience with IF's was so traumatic that I've put them on permanent hiatus in favour of Blood angels... Brilliant tutorial as usual
Looking back on this video. I can see you have come along way scott. This still looks awesome compared to the level I am at but your stuff these days is unreal.
Just found your channel recently and spent most of my work day being both entertained and schooled. Great work! Love this space marines series and I hate space marines😂
This was an amazing video, thank you for it. It was informative and fun to watch. I subscribed.
Lovely painting as usual. And yes, yellow over black/brown is a royal pain in the rear. (several thousand points of 90's Brettonians taught me that) . Nice tip on shaved hair/five o'clock shadow. Much quicker than mixing in with the skin tone.
I reckon I'll have to give this a go for one marine of each (main) Chapter.
p.s. It's Latin not Spanish. Aquila should be pronounced Ah-kwi-la.
This video was enough for me to sub and support on Patreon. What you're doing is fantastic
You´re nuts man! I love it. Awesome painting btw, keep at it!!
this is easily some of the best basing I've ever seen, Love that little busted fence.
Miniac! This Mini is awesome! Great idea with the base and the rusty fence / barbed wire
Great video! Very entertaining and informative. Thanks for sharing.
For painting Imperial guard I listen to Beauty of Annihilation "I can see them everywhere, they're all around me, they're waiting for me"
Looks fantastic. Great base
Awesome job. man! Super ideas that got me motivated to create! Cheers
(Spongebob voice) "...You like Space Marines, don't you, Scott?"
This video is so metal that watching it made my head explode… Epic level painting! \m/
like how fair you are.... rhinox hide v mournfang .... really great tutorials. Thanks so much.
love the playfullness!
Oh boy you gave me inspiration for some shit I wanted to do for lot of time thanks my dude
Are you sure your not falling in love with space marines? Kick those skinny little dark Eldar to the curb! Beautiful Mini! Just what I've been waiting for.
Evon Pecsenye dark Eldar for life!!
More content!
Hi Miniac, i come from france and i like watch your vids, all you explanation are realy useful. Continue like this ! Perfect !!
You forgot one massive step all box art goes through. PHOTOSHOP!
You have made my painting inprove 100%
beautiful work
Excellent and tidy painting!
Hey I found your channel a few weeks ago, slowly been watching your stuff since. My favorites are the 'Eavy Metal Marines by far. I have been painting a big Black Templar army up, would love to show you but not sure how. Keep up the good work. Keep in mind that you should definitely paint a Black Templar next because I'll become a patron if you do :P
Your painting is sick and your music taste just as sick. Awesome work
A tip for the wood base next time: sand it with fine sand paper, use thin CA glue to completely cover the wood and let dry, add another coat and let dry, sand with fine sandpaper. At this point the surface should be smooth and flat like plastic. Use some spray sanding primer and sand with very fine paper. At this point it should be perfectly flat and smooth, ready for paint.
Scott's back - what a perfect day!
Vulfpeck tshirt? HAARP Machine in the video? Damn man, solid painting AND a music taste to boot!
Fantastic work. Would love if you delved into painting Imperial Guard miniatures, especially since so many people have so many variations of doing the model's fatigues and it would interesting to see your channel's take on it
Since the 'Eavy Metal team is comprised of Golden Daemon winners, you're kind of giving us a way to also win for the Golden Daemon awards.
you're welcome
i like the shade of yellow you had over the box model
Awesome Video. Started Painting 2 Months Ago and tried replicating this style. Was nowhere near your result, but still was pretty happy with my Model. Learned many things while doing that. Thank you for this video and keep up the good work.
(Yellow Paint is the devil ;D)
Amazing painting skills
Great job, gonna save the video and try your step by step someday to see how I do..tks
I love that you love heavy metal
Caspin I love you that you love that I love heavy metal.
Metal is Eavier than Eavy metal, Ah yes, Technical death metal even Eavier. killer dude \m/
Eavy
That head looks amazing dude!
25:15 When comparing the final result to the box art we have to keep in mind that GW surely photoshops out small discrepancies to achieve that cleanliness. Overall it turned out amazing and is easily comparable!
Make Deatwatch eavy metal guide
YA$
Soo he didn’t do it right?😂
Beautiful
Those "shiny cylindrical things" that the 'eavy metal boys use as a plinth look like undercoated plastic caps from rattle cans, which makes sense as they likely have dozens of the things kicking around the office
PlagueHush the diameter is too small to be that, me thinks.
I'm so scared of this. But here I go! Thanks miniac!
Top quality content!
I applaud you sir, this is a phenomenal tutorial! Alas I shan't be painting an imperial fists army as I value my sanity and composure. It would be neat to see a Flesh Tearers appear on your channel at some point in the future!
For the highlights on the purple feathers of the crest l, what it over the white you used, you could so a slight and thin silver to make those edges pop a bit more. Maybe that would get you closer to the box art like you wanted. Just an idea that has worked for me in the past. Looks great anyways man!
You can use super glue as a finish on your plinth in your pseudo-lathe. It's a pretty common finish for lathe work that gets super smooth.
I've painted a yellow army scheme in the past, thanks for reminding me why I should never do this again!
Amazing video! I'd really like to see your take on White Scars.
damn bro, gw should hire you to be a 'eavy metal painter! your really good at it! love the channel btw
Awesome!
That outro is so badass
Dude I see your Testament CD there in the background, that's fucking awesome
ESOTERIC AGENDA! Nice bro.. i recognize Haarp Machine anywhere. Oh nice video too
I thought I was a patient painter and then I saw this video.
Freehanding the pauldron details makes me ragequit. I put some kill tallies on my Imperial Guardsman's Lasgun once and even that simple task drove me to insanity.
Wireform...that brings back memories. I used an insane amount of that when I played Gorka Morka. I miss Gorka Morka :(
Vulfpeck shirt-yep. Dope
Superbe tuto! Merci
love all the intros
That’s gorgeous...
Dude, love the musical taste
Hey man live the channel informative and funny. Have you got any plans to do any videos on planning and making diaramas. Keep up the good work.
Whoa shit its exiting :O I just got into 40k and decided to go with the imperial fist :D Stuggling so far with the painting, but the result is getting there!
i think we can all agree that we need Scott to do the blood ravens or the white scars
Amazing
It's all about that power metal
For the highlight you can mix in some gloss varnish so it stands out more
Very impressive.
amazing
