IKR, I’ve been looking at that level on the worlds screen ever since he said that to see if maybe he did off camera or something but it’s still incomplete
For the final invisible, I did search patterns for circles by having long lines through squares, and checking for all fails (missed a circle) or some fails (all circles but also squares)
"the devil's in the details and we don't need to mess with the devil" is such a great saying. These puzzles are so head-scratching and incomprehensible yet Tyler's commentary makes the entire video so much fun anyway.
12:05 Tyler: The line needs a bend. The line needs a bend. The line needs a AEUGH. Maybe it needs 2 bends. Maybe it needs 3 bends, Oh no! Legit made me cry with laughter and I don't know why.
I solved 9-?-5 by purposely hitting a square to test if I got all the circles. Loved world 9 a lot! Excited to see what you think of world 0! World -- was definitely my favorite though.
On the final level one of the rules is to hit all the circles, so on the very final trial and error level I would make lines that hit squares that I knew there were boxes, but still hit all the circles so that I could get a feel for where all the circles are. This is a form of trial and error that paired with knowing where the boxes are makes the level a lot easier to solve and a bit less of a guess fest. I quickly figured out one circle was on the top and right wall, and then the exact square they were in using this method, and once that was done there were only two possible known lines that could connect them without hitting any of the boxes.
for the final puzzle I also used sound cues to find the circles, since if you cover the whole grid and start taking squares a way, the first time you hear "no rules fulfilled" you just moved off a circle.
If 9-9 is the first level, it would be way easier to guess. The trial and error or "audio minesweeper" thing I had been used to in the 2nd land, so it actually entertained me.
It was only from an outside perspective and with Tyler's help, but I had a fair time picking out the solutions ahead of time on this one! The game is really spot on doing everything it needs to with the simple mechanics :)
getting it at midnight is like perfect timing because you've already watched the days videos and he comes out with a new one in the middle of the night lol
For level 8, I thought the rule was having just one circle touching each line segment. Looks like it ends up having the same outcome as what Tyler came up with.
