- What's up guys! My name is Dom. My family and I moved to this new Homestead back in Oct. We are slowly building our garden from scratch.
Today I am planting lots of things. We also go pick up our Baby Chicks from Murray McMurray Hatchery.
I purchased my Barefoot Strawberry plants and Asparagus from Johnny's seed Company.

Hey Dom ! Love what you are doing and especially how you are getting the children involved !
The chicks are so cute! Also, I love seeing everyone working together to get things planted!
Your channel has become a blessing to watch..
That's so sweet ❤️
🤣🤣 Listening to the girls coo over those baby chicks 🐤 they are adorable 🥰
You will love the Polish chickens I handle my everyday and there are so friendly.
I’m obsessed with these videos thank you so much for posting
Love the content 👌 and the knowledge you passing to your children. Excellent
Thanks! That's so sweet ❤️
Yay!! Wonderful baby chickens. Continued success with the farm...
Enjoying your channel and watching your little family learning great tools for their future!
Thanks! Definitely a needed skill
It is a joy to watch your videos. I get ideas watching you. This is my 2nd year gardening, I will start organizing my planting between the perennials and annuals.
Gosh. You're gorgeous!
🥰
Just found your channel, I Love seeing your young family growing your own groceries. Trying to catch up on all your videos but wanted to tell you how proud I am of you!
That's really means a lot, I appreciate it ❤️
Ur chicken brooder is perfectly done and well organized. I would suggest u elleminate the corners inside ur brooder by putting a half round boards on all four corners to avoid chicks pushing each other to the corners and that can turn to chicks death trap. Round brooders will also be the best in future. 🇿🇦
Wow, baby chicks, love raising them. You have a lot of strawberries to plant. The raised bed you have is very nice. How much properly do you have? If everything goes well you are going to have a surplus of food for your family. It is so nice you involve your kids in the garden. They will never forget it. I love your channel and will keep watching. Good luck.
Yeah, either a bunch of over flow to share or just enough 😅 haha we picked our first couple strawberries today! We have 2.6 acres
Johnny’s! Been ordering from them for years!
You guys are off to a great start this year! I am dying to get some stuff planted but I have to wait another 3 weeks.
Just wanted to say hi, I started following you after your visit with Jess. I look forward to catching up with your videos 🙏💜🙏
Hello!!
My strawberries died last year, now I know why- thank you for sharing how to leave the crown....I really want to grow some so maybe I'll retry with this new knowledge
I live in Colorado but can't seem to get asparagus to grow either. I have a hill that blocks out allot of sun so my growing season is very short- mb that's why?
Sorry it took me so long to see these comments
Awesome video!
Im on my 3rd year gardening and 1st year with chicks. Im looking to expand my garden again an thinking asparagus (search for growing asparagus lead me to your video) as its a perennial and for the same reason started my strawberries last season and the exploded this spring I get about 1 pound of strawberries each day an only have 1 4x8 raised bed of them you gonna have tons!
Sunflowers are great flowers to have around and in your veggie garden to draw in pollinators
Berry bushes are excellent perennials that should be on every homestead
Gonna sub so i can see how things all turn out. Great to see kids learning how to do this stuff. They are the future and kids today are so lost on video games social media phones tablets etc when its better stimulation to get outside in the sun (or rain!) and hands on learning a skill they will know the rest of their lives. That is what living is all about.
Awesome job on your gardening and congratulations on your chicks!
You could have planted 1/10th of those strawberries... The runners fill out a bed Very fast... Nice channel.. I subbed
I will move the runners 😁
Just found your channel. Been watching your vids. Love how you involve your kids. Looking forward to seeing your channel flourish and also your homestead. Good luck girl.
Thanks girl!! It's definitely a work in progress, about to get outside and work on some fences
Great video. How did you get rid of the ants?
I didn't do anything for the ants, and as long as they aren't in my way they can stay
You are so beautiful
🥰 thank you
Hi where do you get the quales?
What's that?
@@faithfamilyhomestead sorry typo I meant Quales 🤦🏽♀️😬
