I love my 80’s and Styx.
I love this song
Not too shabby for a song that was written and recorded 42 years ago - yet somehow still seems relevant today!
That was their plan till q and trump stopped them been doing same thing over and over for 7000 yrs time is up for evil not us look up ex order 13818 aka jubilee
It was perfect as well for the show Mr. Robot.
Dennis DeYoung was so talented. Love his voice and his songwriting. Great reaction!
I'll be nice and just say clueless.
Dennis DeYoung would be pleased!
Not long after this, Dennis DeYoung went solo. His first song and video was Desert Moon ... magnificent song that gets better with age, and the video is like a short intense movie that you'll never forget.
In the storyline of this song/album, in the near future all rock music would be outlawed. Only pop music was allowed. A successful rock singer named Kilroy was forced to vanish. But later re-emerged in disguise as a pop singer named Mr Roboto.
The song definitely predicts technology's takeover (positive and negative) of our lives that we are experiencing now.

So many Styx songs you need to react to. To much time on my hands. Renegade , Grand Illusion, Cristal Ball ( Live), Snowblind. Blue Collar man
All I can say is that in the 70s and 80s that we did some serious drugs and sometimes it reflected in our music of that era
Is the same today. Only difference being our drugs didn’t come from WalGreens. We got the good stuff!
😜
I love this wacky song! So fun 😂
I'm digging your reactions, man. This can be a great channel. You don't sound like all the other reactors. Keep it up!
Cheers.
I appreciate that!
That was fun... seen them once a great time... I think they're touring this coming summer.

Check out Dennis DeYoung’s solo song Desert Moon. But you need to watch the cheesy 80’s video as well.
This song is one of my favorites. It unfortunately was also a major contribution for the band splitting, Dennis going solo. Tbh though, their breaking up was inevitable due to the creative differences between Dennis and Tommy. This song just sped it up.
i didn't really like this song when it came out (it wasn't hard enough for Styx), but now I kinda like it. It grows on me. Haha. Still, Renegade and Blue Collar Man are some of my favs from them.
They did this as a play before every concert like broadway broke out. This was a real downer to fans who were there for a concert. Dennis wanted to do more of this and Tommy hit the road. As a video and song ,yes it was good.
☮️💙💙💙🔥😎
Bro. check out Man in the Wilderness by Styx. 😎 edit: also Castle Walls... Thanks
Yes! Both!
Video recording of the end of Dennis deyoung's career.
Not true.
More cheese than a block of Velveeta. I was 16 when this came out and the majority of us that knew Styx songs from the 70’s didn’t like this version of them.
This song/album is what caused STYX to part ways with Dennis DeYoung mostly because he wanted to get theatrical with
everything. Both JY and Tommy Shaw hated this song but still have to play it
during concerts to avoid riots.
I saw this concert in Bezerkely and they started and ended with this video presentation.
They're still playing (sans Dennis). If you get the chance, go check them out while you still can.

Makes me think of "Devo".
Notice none of the other members were in the video other than Tommy for just a moment head shot he later regretted doing. The robots were all actors because the others wanted nothing to do with making the "Silly Robot Video"-James Young. Both Tommy and James REFUSED to add a "Signature" guitar solo to the song. Only record company pressure got them to contribute any music at all. Young said when Dennis asked him to add a real heavy machine sounding solo James told him he will have to do it himself, or find someone else willing to put their stamp on the song.
Yet they finally started to do it live now--because it's crazy greatness by Dennis.
This song led to the break-up with Dennis and the other members, Most of their fans agreed with the split. STYX is a Classic Rock Band... Not a silly Broadway act. but I'm glad you liked it.
I enjoyed Paradise Theater which had plenty of theatrics in the live show. I couldn't tell you how many times I watched the concert video. Just a clashing of styles between Dennis and the rest. He was always more of an artist than just a rock musician. He DID write 7 of their 8 biggest hits after all. Conflict of styles is what briefly broke up YES and resulted in the DRAMA album without founder/singer Jon Anderson or keyboardist Rick Wakeman.
Those kind of conflicts broke up many bands over the years.@@AirDOGGe
Yeah, but now they close with it. Go figure... Dennis was a genius!
@@tomcassille3356 The song sucks, but money is money so.....
@@AliasMark69that's your opinion
OH NO!.... The other members of the band HATED everything about this song and having to perform it live. Certainly my least favorite from them, in fact the word doesn't even apply to this monstrosity. Dennis DeYoung and his personal fantasy gone too far.
Perfectly said. I remember seeing an interview with Tommy Shaw and he HATED this song.
I love this song. Dennis is a genius. It’s funny that Shaw performs this in live performances. Wonder why?😮🙄🤨
It turned out to be a money maker so as they say.... Money talks. That's the real beauty about music, there are all types and all kinds of people to like or dislike it. I'm very glad you like it and I KNOW JM is glad you like it, but he always gets my most Honest opinions on the songs he does. Have a Splendid Day.@@SueKay-rq1lr
Yeah, it surprised a lot of suckers who paid to see the Killroy tour as well. Amazing how a huge waste of money like this can be monetized by some fool years later, innit?
You are indeed clueless.
I’m clueless for liking something that you don’t like?? Yeah you sound like a real intellectual 😂
a horrible song by pretty much a horrible band...
Your opinion. Others beg to differ.
