There are full face helmets, open face helmets, modular helmets, adventure helmets, and sometimes you might find a helmet that can do 2 of these things, but the Nolan N70-2 X Helmet does it all. With removable peak, chinbar, and faceshield, this lid can be configured in 8 different ways, so if you’re looking for that one helmet to rule them all, the N70-2 X might just be the one.

This is a well constructed helmet. When you intentionally impart lateral forces with chin bar removed, yes, it will squeak, but that allowable deflection is what absorbs impacts without transferring high acceleration levels to your brain.
The ventilation system works better than my much much older Arai Corsair RX-7 I used to run on track, the visor snaps shut solidly at center of visor (well sealed), and retractable sunscreen works great. The lining is comfortable and the chin curtain helps reduce noise.
I just purchased an N70-2X and I am amazed at not only the value, but how well it works while actually riding. Perhaps it didn't impress this reviewer, but it has certainly impressed me.

I bought one of these as a cheap option, I have actually been impressed with the quality for the cost. I crashed last weekend and a had a big tumble down a steep rutted hill the helmet took a few big hits and copped well. I will be replacing it with another N70 - x2, the squeaky noise does reduce as the helmet breaks in and the chin piece is kept in place.
    It does need better ventilation.

Just picked one up directly from Nolan USA (CIMA) because Revzilla is limited to color selection. Always been a Shoei guy, but I WILL NOT buy another helmet without an internal sunvisor again. Love my Shoei GT-Air, but the Shoei Hornet needs a sunvisor. The Nolan is very nice. Weighs in at 4lb 3oz (large), but the Hornet 2 weighs in at 3lb 12oz, so not a big difference, especially with all the alternate configurations this helmet has. Seems very comfortable, but I haven't taken it on an extended ride yet. The squeeky comment - mine doesn't do it..? Overall first impression - Nice helmet..!

$350 MSRP but if you look around you can do much better. Just bought one this weekend for $98. The multi colored ones were $148. Really like it. Haven't took any long trail rides with it yet but it seems like it'll be pretty comfortable all day.

I was so excited to see a modular ADV helmet from Nolan. Then the big let down on how they designed the chin bar. Why is the industry determined to only let us have either an expensive Shoei or the Scorpion for and ADV modular option. A normal flip-up modular chin bar and I would have been all over this helmet in a second. I love my full face Nolan.

Good: Top head ventilation for hot climate, very comfy, good liner, easy to fix Sena com, not too expensive. Could be improved: Chin vent could be better, adjustment of the peak could be longer - need to go more forward, helmet is on noisy side. Over all not bed.

I use this helmet for years and love it for
    - Detachable chin & hat so i can use it for city ride
    - thats it.
    And hate the helmet for:
    - very low airflow on head, its good on some body position, but in my daily ride i barely feel the cool on it and
    - its became hot on sunny day the worse is
    - the helmet getting heavier because of my sweat and
    - the inside is not comfortable when im sweating.
    - the sunvisor are so hard to open because the helmet are getting wider to my head ( even though i didnt feel any thigt ) so the sunvisor got scratched by helmet it self so im not using the sunvisor again and buying dark visor.
    - It so noisy from wind until i almost cant hear anything outside 5-10 meter range.

Such a shame about the chin part. Needless weight to add this functionality and a safety concern.

Seems crappy. Thanks for not hiding that poor build-quality.
