Knight Rider! Now that's something I haven't seen in a long time. I remember that K.A.R.R's CPU is probably still buried in the sand somewhere so if someone finds him I guess he could come back.
I ordered one of these tonight. It's interesting that from a few feet back the bar looks almost OEM like it sits flush right between the inner OEM lights but in the video install I notice it actually sits right on top of those inner lights. Im not 100% sure how Im going to feel about that when I get mine installed. :(.
not liking how the extremities are so offset from the tail lights, not shown in the video for obvious reasons.( 9:37 shows a hint of how bad this is) It is tacky, addon, not oem. Solve that so that the corners get to the tail lights level and it's a win.
100% accurate. That is a major design flaw. Makes it look like a Honda Civic aftermarket part. Designs needs improvement to look seamless with the oem tail light
@@tariqqayyum6369 Just finished install on my 2023 Model Y. Follow this video instead for the 12v orange wire. ua-cam.com/video/zqWqL85RoWk/v-deo.html
@@andrewlin7171 thanks for the link, i managed to install the bar, without connecting the 12V wire it's working fine, actually if you need to switch on the light as soon as the car is start irrespective of Day or Night, then you need to connect the 12V wire to the source, if you only want to switch on the light during the night no need to connect the 12V wire
@@tariqqayyum6369 ok, didn't know that. I still would connect the 12v. Like how the start up, break and blinker looks. Will the break and blinkers work without connecting the 12V?
@@andrewlin7171 Yes, all other functions are working as expected, the only difference of 12V wire connection if you want to remain switch on the bar irrespective of Day or Night, where as no 12V connection will only switch o. The bar at night or when the parking light switch on in the evening
Would you know by any chance if individual lighting functions can be turned off? I live in Germany. Very strict regulations here to ensure driving with no speed limits is as safe as possible - and 3rd party sequential blinkers are not legal here.
I’m curious what affect it has on the rear camera video when the bar is illuminated, especially at night. That is a lot of extra light that might be flashing right near the camera and potentially obscuring the picture.
Surprisingly, the 3M tape is really really strong. Buddy of mine installed an aftermarket carbon fiber spoiler and it was held on my 3M tape, it is really stuck on there. It's been on the car for about 2 1/2 years now.
Tape will fail eventually. It gets cold, get hot, moist, dry, etc. Eventually it will come off and that will always happen at a very inconveniant time. They should have made it where the bar would click into the camera and switch holes mechanically assisted by tape. That way it would never fall down and just hanging by some wires.
This will be great for Europe also …if it didn t had the turn signal animation. You can lose your licence for that. Wish I could install this looks awesome
Has anyone install both the light bar and the reflector lights together ? When I install both of them all lights go on including indicator lights when I put the turn signal on.
Would this wire up to the outside tail lights of my model 3 if I already have aftermarket sequential lenses installed and wired up with plug and play adapters? I also installed the bumper leds as well. Thanks.
Yep, 100% agree. Most of these YT videos will not mention that because these people are reliant on the sponsorship. I was disappointed when I installed and noticed that my rear camera view is greatly obstructed. I thought it was strange that no video mentioned it or very few, and I now know why. Also, I've asked several questions on these videos, and they all get ignored or say it's no issue when, in reality it is. They don't want to forefit any affiliate profit. SMH!

Right you are! Plus quality is subpar and every product on Hanshow is expensive.
Awesome job ‼️looks so so cool
Thank you for the DYI tutorial 👍
Certainly a better price than others I've seen
Hi - did you connect that orange 12 V cable? I have a 2023 Model Y Performance and I don't have a port to plug in the Orange 12V cable.
I also have the same question, 2023 Tesla model Y what to do with the 12V orange wore

can i mod this to function only as a running light and brake light? the signal thing and the animations are a bit much for me

Is there a way to turn off the turn signal animations?
You can cut the signal wires, please contact us at support@hansshow.com or +1 (949) 826-6200 M-F 9-5pm GMT -8
Quick question. Is it possible not to have the red light flashing when using the turn signal? (Not legal here in France)
Cutting the yellow wire from what he said in video?

Any reason why you skipped the part on how to connect the 12V?
No need it gets power from taillight
Just needs some ornaments, and it'll be perfect 👍
Can I wire this up only as running light? Does the adapter work with the inner tail lights?
No
Does it block some of the rear camera view?
No

Well, the rear camera is sitting a bit lower now. So it will NOT be as calibrated as before.
I got one , seems to need a different adapter for 2021 model 3. Where can I get that adapter ?

I did it a little differently, I fixed the bar with proper screws, a very clean job, used a proper riveted machine screw perfect fit

I heard from several people that the tape has failed. They replaced it with stronger tape which eventually also failed.

Any auto pilot issues with the increased light near the rear camera? Does it obstruct the rear cam @ all?
Not at all
I have early model 3 and I had to cut a full section out so it would fit properly as well cut out extra for the camera.
Does it work with the light show
Yes same startup animation
I'd buy a few of your products if you had an installer in the houston area as there's no way I'm doing these installs myself.
Please reach out to use at inquiry@hansshow.com and we can recommend some.
