Get a chunk of light colored carpet remnant for your bench and floor under it. 1. High contrast to see dropped parts. 2. Absorbs the energy and stops dropped springs, screws, etc. rather than them bouncing into the abyss.
I finally pulled the trigger and bought a Monstrum lpvo i picked out the 3to9by33 with the mx1 retical that i wanted i can’t wait to try it when it gets here !!!!!
Would be nice to see 39-44mm height models. Also since they are copying the A419 rings, it would be nice to have attachment options for things like bubble levels, range cards, red dot mounts, range fingers, etc.
Agreed. Since A419 made the ring attachment system Open Source (no license required to copy and utilize by other brands) I'm hoping Discovery and others do make accessories like diving boards.
Wow! I love them. Thanks for the video. I might be getting a Discovery optic and would want those rings! Quick question - I live in a generally humid country, and need to keep all irons and steel well oiled to avoid rust. Would you recommend oiling the threads on my rings? Would that affect the torque being applied (as it reduces friction)? Cheers from Malta, Europe.
@@rainbow2710 Like what Moondog said low strength Loctite will usually be enough to keep the moisture out from the threads for those, if you are not frequently take off and reinstall. You have a point there which those screws are indeed carbon steels with coatings. We might consider stainless steel bolts options in the future.
@@Moondog2AI think no, because the main ring could be not a ring, but parabolic. You will see that only when it will be fully mounted and parallax adjustment at yournscope will be blocked.

Would you consider reviewing their hunting-oriented scopes? Everyone has tested the PRS 5-25x, not no serious channels getting more than like 2k views on their stuff has reviewed their other scopes. Interested to know.
I recently got their MS 3-9x heavy recoil scope which I gave it to my friend American Hillbilly to review as a hunting/shotgun scope. He liked it and it survived about 20 rounds of slug. ua-cam.com/video/qvku6KFvnLY/v-deo.html

That's a good piece of advice. My luck it'll still manage to bounce out or disappear under something.
Awesome looking rings 👍🇺🇸
They are!
Those do look like great Rings and the machining looks detailed.
Yes they do. I know some guys will mock me but unless I'm shooting FClass or ELR, I'll be using these without a second thought.
Great review and presentation!
Thank you kindly! Hope you subscribe.
Great review! Thank you!
Just call'n it like it is. You made some really high quality rings here. Just keep it up.

@@Moondog2Aoops i mis spoke its a 3 - 9 - 30 m p v o but i still think its a great deal for 87 bucks and free s / h
@@jeremyfrix522 Agreed
Looks like a really nice set. 👍
Sure seem like it. I'd like to have some ELR guys try this out and let me know if they perform as good as they look.
Those are amazing value. That’s a lot of machining going on.
Indeed. Hope you subscribe.
These seem too good to be true, but you've never steered me wrong in the past Moondog.
They seem to put a lot more extra effort on these rings than their "basic" rings.
I have two sets. They are great rings
What caliber rifles you got them on?

It is not necessary to oil these since they are aluminum and not steel.
@@Moondog2A ah, of course, I meant the screws 😁
Do not lubricate scope screws as they will loosen with recoil. Instead use Threadlock glue amzn.to/3SE5VvF

@@DiscoveryOpticsGlobal thank you, much appreciated.
I work with Discovery for last 3 years and what I learned: even if one batch was idelly aligned that is not mean that next batch will be the same 🤷♂️
That alignment pin would solve the batch inconsistency?
