I love this song. It is straight out of the late 80's. I hear Huey, Bruce Springsteen or Billy Joel. This song made me take a deeper dive into their music. I had never heard them before. They are so much FUN to listen to. I just watched a video of them playing on a bus. Great video.
I love listening to Bleachers! Since he’s a Jersey kid, I think he’s basically the new generation version of Bruce Springsteen. Another great song is “How Dare You Want More”, it gives off a live version of Springsteen’s Rosalita vibe hard. If you look up a list of their top songs, you can’t go wrong with any of them. Edit: he’s also been working with Taylor Swift as a music producer, and I think you can hear a lot of similar sounds in Taylor’ newest albums and Bleachers album from 2017 and 2019-2020
I saw them Thursday in Chicago. I’m 51. A punk rock/industrial/Manchester girl. This was the best vibing show of my life. Prince and James Brown tie a close second. TheThe and James tie in third.
I really Bleachers. I especially like "Stop Making this Hurt" nad "How Dare You Want More." His production credits are A-listers on the pop charts too.
The Bleachers (Jack Antonoff) are absolutely top rate. He just knows how to make the catchiest songs imaginable and seems to have so much fun doing it. This thing is straight out of the 80s and a total hit. If you like this sound, definitely check out their most recent album, Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night. The earlier albums are just as good but the sax-heavy sound comes to life on Saturday Night.
I go to 15 or so live shows a year of various sizes. Small clubs with 40 people to stadium shows. I have NEVER had more fun at a show than seeing Bleachers live the two times I was lucky enough to catch them.
This one is a little more about the exuberant groove than the melody to my ears, but if you like this Bleachers vibe, try out "Stop Making This Hurt" and "How Dare You Want More" from his last album. Also, Antonoff produced "Looking for Somebody To Love" by the 1975 and that song has a similar vibe, too. Cheers!
You know the band Fun? he used to be a member of that band, then they went on Hiatus and he's been making music as Bleachers since, but his main thing is producing as Jack Antonoff (his real name)
Bleachers has such a great throwback sound. The lyrics are usually much more melancholy than this. To quote Jack from their last live album, they make music for people "who, for some fucking reason, want to celebrate grief with tapy tunes, thank you for being here"
There other stuff sounds more like Springsteen then Huey Lewis. he also produces most of Taylor Swifts new music, as well as many other female pop musicians like Lorde, Lana Del Rey and Carly Rae Jepsen

Been a fan of Bleachers for idk how long, went to their concert for the 1st time last year… simply an incredible performance and experience.

He's no Brian Fallon.
@@jgilmermaybe not but they absolutely played the same shitty north jersey fire hall/vfw shows in the late 90s/early 2000s
I saw them in UK last week, at the Institute in Birmingham. These guys are absolutely amazing live.

YES!! Reminded me of Huey Lewis and The News too. One of my favourite artists too
the smile on your face says all you need to know about Bleachers.... Such a great song
I could seriously see someone doing CPR to this song. Loved this song from the first time I heard it. We need more music like this.

He is JUST as magical live....it is just rare to catch a concert...he is a busy guy!

I had the same impression the first time I heard this song. It made me smile. This is good music.
Loveee Bleachersss!!
Well done, Mike Reichert!! Appreciate your opinion & looking forward to listening to more! (I'm Huey Lewis Fan2!)

Damn. I did not know this. My cover band closes with We Are Young most nights. I love that song. This all makes more and more sense.
Thanks for the Fun info. I’ve also been doing some listening since hearing this song. Yeah Fun lines up….

You cannot be sad listening to this. Just fun, we all need fun these days.
I think it's impossible to make it through that song without smiling.
I wanna get better is my favorite bleachers song and definitely worth checking out

Huey lewis rules! Sounds like Billie Joel Talking heads too
Like you, i was not familiar with this band. Awesome energy. I enjoyed it.
This isn't my usual thing, but it's very enjoyable
This is reminding me little bit of The Talking Heads
Its like Stranger Things but in audio
Same last name club
I’m surprised people are super amped on this song . Everything is so generic about it . Really well played and produced but it’s soooo boringly safe .
