The more I learn about cats, the more I become aware of the numerous acts of kindness that cats often show to other animals which include raising tiger cubs, red squirrels, newborn pups and many more, and now I can add meerkats to the list. This was beautiful to watch. Thanks for sharing.
These two are showing the Rest of the world that even tho your totally different they still can get along. Now if we could Only Get Humans to do the same!🤔😀
A sparrow landed on my knee one day as I was sitting on my smoko at work. Since then he visits every morning . Now he brings his wife and his eldest baby too. I am the surrogate father of a family of sparrows because dad had the confidence to confront me and demand some of my muesli bar. Very smart indeed.
Enjoyed this video very much. I had an older male cat who helped raised a squirrel. They were best friends and my cat would chase off other cats when they played outside. Both came in and out of the house at any time. They would curl up in the hood of a winter coat as their nighttime bed. In time the squirrel met its mate and wondered off but would visit once in a while. This was about 40 years ago. I still miss there funny play.
Yes, I have a story of friendship and bonding. I'm of the French Canadian species coming from an icy cold environment. 35 years ago I bonded with a Chinese species of the female type eminating from a hot and muggy climate. Somehow this bond resulted in a marriage of differences so far apart, then culminating into a loving relationship. I'm now 77 and she's 73 and we couldn't be more differrent and yet so loving. We both love our puddy-tat too!
Too beautiful for words. Such fortunate owners to live with this love each day. Thank you so much for sharing this incredible video. Cheers from Sydney Australia 🙂
From what I've seen in documentaries, Meerkats are so sociable that they quickly accept the humans who came to record and observe them. Somehow, they sense that the Giant Humans are harmless and friendly.
That is so sweet watching the meerkat Suren patting Nice, as the person as doing it too. I love this story and its a wonderful thing to watch too. I'm so glad Suren was adopted and has a family aswell. To be so far from his homeland, its a very happy ending for him and everyone else. 💞💗💞
Sooooooooooooooo loving and just beautiful!!!! I love their bond with each other!!! Thank you for such a loving story!!! I will always treasure this story!!!!! God bless all of you!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Joannie
@@hmapp Born in captivity in a zoo - not a rescue shelter on the other end of the world, i dont think its bold to assume that there was no urgent need for them to be there but merely a monetary interest
Are you kidding? Heat, AC, water, medicine/ healthcare, soft beds to lay on, food at regular intervals without struggling, and treats. Nor a worry about being prey. Getting snuggles... I'd 100% chose that life over the wild. The only thing i can think of is no babies or family, being alone and all. But if he were mine, I'd take him to the zoo or get a rescue female to make 1 batch of babies for the experience.
As a child, I had a parakeet, Tony, who formed a friendship with a kitten, Fuzzy, which lasted all 10 years of Fuzzy's life. They would play together, chase each other, and rest with Tony sleeping on Fuzzy's back. 💙❤
Cats and meerkats belong to the same order (carnivora) and the same suborder (feliforma). That being said, they normally live in very different parts of the world (the meerkats are from) Africa. In this case they make charming companions. I realky enjoyed this video.
This is a lovely story about cat & a young Meerkat who become the best of friends. What I find strange about this story is how was Nice's owner able to adopt the Meerkat pup from a Petting Zoo. How was she able to do this when the owner derives his/her income from people paying to interact with the animals. In addition, Meerkats are known to be escape artists & before they could even be introduced to the public in the USA, the zoo had to build a special enclosure that was constructed in such a way the Meerkats could not dig their way out.
I have discovered (via UA-cam) that in Russia you seem to be able to “rescue” exotic animals from these petting zoos! It is very difficult for us to accept the keeping of these animals but sometimes they are better off with their rescues who actually care if they are ill and take them to the vet! I’ve watched one couple who adopted a puma and used the money from their UA-cam channel to buy a house and move out of the apartment they were living in. This gave them a place for it to play and swim. I’ve seen nothing but improvement in an animal that was bought for a petting zoo.
I grew up backed up to forest and we had 4 cats that caught and killed tons of lizards, snakes, rats, mice, other critters and many rabbits as well but we had a pet black and white dutch bunny and our cats never harmed him. I always thought that was strange but figured they just thought of him as part of the family and not prey. When the rabbit would hop around the cats would often get in that predatory pre pounce position with big dialated eyes and rush at Easter (our rabbit) but would just lightly grab or tackle him without scaring or harming him.
What about the meerkats own family at the petting zoo. Why would the lady take it from its mother and family. I’m glad it did work out in the end but I don’t think we should take animals from their families!
Animals are much more sophisticated about relationships with other species than humans are about relationships with humans that limo ok a little different from them.
Remember that a petting zoo, is absolutely nothing like a proper zoo with specialised enclosures. A petting zoo is a place where visitors actually get to pat and interact with the animals there. Honestly the term zoo, shouldn’t really be used. Because it’s nothing like a traditional zoo.
Anyone told him? MEERCAT ain’t a damn cat. Nor a mere cat. Cuteness to human. When will the understand. They co-exist with a heard of wild chimpanzees so much as well.
The intro to this video makes it seem like domestic house cats and meerkats are known to be the biggest enemies of the animal world. No, I don’t really find this relationship remarkable, certainly not “beyond all expectations” or “against all odds.”
The more I learn about cats, the more I become aware of the numerous acts of kindness that cats often show to other animals which include raising tiger cubs, red squirrels, newborn pups and many more, and now I can add meerkats to the list. This was beautiful to watch. Thanks for sharing.
E has cats & Birds never a problem!😎🌎🐾🌍✅❤️🙏🌳🦍🇳🇫😇
I saw one on UA-cam, feeding abandoned, baby hedgehogs.
yes, i always say cats are very kind people
One's a 4-legged unaliving machine, while the other is a goofy, plucky, loveable character in our hearts.

As if human don’t.
Until you realize you're different
Fabulous comment, wowed, like to hear more of this kind.
Humans have more interspecies relationships than most animals.
First, you would have to get rid of religous beliefs.

I love meerkats and cats.
Raised together they'll depend on each other and morn the passing !!!! That's life .

Amazing video 🎉☝️👏
The meerkat should've never been separated from his family
You don't have any information on the circumstances as to what caused the separation,so chill out ! It may have been unavoidable .

We could learn a lot from those beautiful creatures. Love is really blind.
Thank you very much for that beautiful video.
Damn, they're cute!!! Good boys.
“You expect me to befriend a mere …cat?!?”
Even the owners called CATarina..
How beautiful friendship.
This is WONDERFUL 💕
Thanks. ✌🏻👊🏼
Dont let the meerkat anywhere near NY state !!!!

You never know who your best friend's going to turn out to be, I think it's beautiful 😎😁🇺🇲❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Their social media accounts should be called "Cat, Kat and Katerina".
What that family needs is a Jack Russell terrier puppy and a Chihuahua and a great Dane. Perfect.
Lovely 😊❤
this is how animals are better than mankind.
Wow! One friend is a meerkat, meant to be a wild African animal, and the other is a mere cat.
Watched the whole thing. Great vid!
Enjoyed this vary much. Love to hear move around these to and Miss Katarina.
Wonderful
Nice tamed a meerkat! 😮😻🙏
So....a Meerkat and a mere cat.
Cats and meerkats both evolved out of the desert.

IN Russia they can adopt wild animals from a zoo? Strange country indeed!
No rules apparently, look up Luna the panther
It melted only thousands of hearts ?
From Meerkat to Meercat.......😁
Cat: well, a cat is a cat …now please get off my head … there’s nothing you need to see!
SOCIABLE animal says it all
The friendliest Mongoose.
What about the meerkats own family at the petting zoo. Why would the lady take it from its mother and family. I’m glad it did work out in the end but I don’t think we should take animals from their families!
I'm glad this wasn't in New York.
How did she adopt a meercat from a zoo?
At Night.
Its russia after all - bakshish exits
I imagine with a “contribution”.
We all know Russians are thieves, just look at Ukraine.

Sweet
God gave us pets to show us how to love.

With a cat named Nice how could they not get along? 😊

Nice is having meerburgers for tanksgivin'
So dang cute...but how the heck does one end up with a Meerkat???
Nice is acting nice to the mere cat.
Cat, Meerkat, Katerina....I think I'm seeing a trend. Maybe they'll move to Kathmandu?
Animals are the better species
Against all odds, what are those odds, there are both animals who just want companionship no odds there if you know anything about animals!
Rule of thunb if you adopt a cat always get another animal so the cat has stimulation and company.
Good thing this was not in New York. Justice for P'nut and Fred.
Meerkats are delicious😊
A cat and a kat living with katarina? Seems legit.
I'm not sure about that. Cats came from Africa, the Egyptians loved them, for example. Maybe there's some ancient bond between cats and meercats.
😻❤️
❤❤❤
They are both cat family...Seen cats making friends with a lot stranger animals
Too much story telling, not enough emotional relationship.

My Cat is Psycho but I love her!!!
@RedneckSpaceman ofcourse..bless you
Are we not a different species than cats and still get along?
The zoo reported the katnapping.
You can't just adopt a animal from a visit to the zoo when you don't work there or papers to keep an exotic animal
Please tell the truth
If you work in the zoo you can do it

If only people would take a lesson from animals the world would be a much more pleasant place!
to be fair, they're both kats.
