Thanks for the shootout and I love the addition of the wood piece to make it more stable..I think I will have to do the same. I love the floating platform man and I need to make my own.
Floating platform idea is great. I need to try something like that for myself when I don’t need or want the full blind setup on the water.
I just want to say that I did the same floating platform and it works perfectly!! Thank you so much. If you are like me, not very capable with your hands, this floating platform is easy to do and works perfectly. Easy to carry. 100% I recommend !
Thanks!
This is Fantastic. I love it Jamin. that float is awesome. I love the Pan. Keep these videos coming.
With the floating platform you don't need pan you just need tilt. Amazing idea
Thanks!
Love the content! Keep up the great work!
Thanks buddy!
Brilliant!! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Great tips and awesome product suggestions. Enjoyed the video very much! We found your channel from IG & look forward to following here as well. Have a wonderful day. -Jody
JC Journey thank you so much!
The Inorel tripod is super truper. Its my number one accessory 👌🏻
I love mine!
For the ground pod, you can also use a plastic or aluminium platter.
There are definitely some alternatives! Thanks for watching.
Great vlog! I must admit I really love the Eckla camdisk purpose built ground pod though, my home made version just didn't do it for me see my review! Great floating platform 👍😀
Camilla & I I totally understand, but on a budget my little frying pan will work. :)
@@JaminTaylor Totally understand. I have seen some good homemade ones. :)
I can clearly see that it works, but man that floating platform scares the crap out of me! Nice video. Subbed.
Southern Exposure just don’t let go! Haha
Center of graffiti is dangerous high.
Another diy idea you can use is like that foam tube from like the airconditioners and you just attach it to a car window/door
Great idea!
For the floating stuff : Use plastic tubes. Your local building supply shop should have some. Probably 5+ inches. You can make something that looks like at H or A.
best tips ever
Thanks!
Cool idea for the lightweight float. I wonder if a swimming kickboard would work?
Paul Purser give it a shot!
Jamin, just found your channel and subscribed, checked out your links.........looks like good stuff....... thanks looking for forward to more
Thank you!
You can make a floater with two pontoons made out of isolation foam and have the camera in the middle.
Yep, I made one last summer. I plan on doing a video for it this coming summer. Stay tuned!
6:26 I was hoping to see the photos at the end of the video.
Floating platform I've been looking into. I'm thinking of mounting my Platypod on top (with my gimbal) of a rig like you've created (plywood over styrofoam). I'm thinking, not having tested anything yet, you might want something with less buoyancy (maybe none at all) and more weight on the bottom of the styrofoam to act keel like, provide more stability and steadiness -- two sections of 2x4, for example. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching! Hope you come up with something that works well for you.
Beautiful videography. Like 402
Thank you!
Alright that intro was too cool :)
Tony Morrison thanks!
Hi Jamin, I like your video, I saw that you have the same Gimbal as the one of mine, do you know if I could find where to buy a piece from the gimbal? I get it broke it en I will like to buy just that piece, I hope you help me, and thanks...
I was just looking similar to this. Alas I found it in this channel
Thanks for watching!
I love that platform, i would love to use one where i live but a damned bull shark would take a chunk out of me at some of the places i regular near me!.
It's super handy!
Grate vlog. Aren't you worried about the bit of ply burning when you do your eggs? 🤣👍
LOL
Have you tried using a counterweight on the bottom of your floating platform for added stability? Think of it as a buoy.
Good idea, I might have to figure out a way to try that.
I'm going to be spending a lot of time photographing shorebirds in a really soggy area. Sometimes sitting on my butt, sometimes laying on my stomach. I would like to stay dry and mud-free as much as possible this year. Is my best bet to just get a thick plastic vapor barrier and cut it to size or is there a good product you could recommend?
I’m planning on investing in a dry suit myself. You might get some chest waders though.
Cool channel! Just discovered you, both about to hit that 1k mark at the same time!
Thanks Jeremy! I can't believe I've almost hit 1000 subs!
yeaah, the peakdesign strap rules! I bought it after x ammount of failed chine straps from ebay. :D
I love it! One strap to rule them all.
@@JaminTaylor ...and in darkness bind them! oh things just got serious
Is that a Camera or a 10km range Sniper Rifle?
LOL, nice.
@@JaminTaylor I should've said Gatling Gun but this will do I guess
Love your videos. but, i just dont understand how people can afford this hobby lol. I'm so desperately needing a gimbal and a really good tripod. but those two on this video lol. holy cow. anyway, like I said. love your videos. keep em coming.
It's definitely an expensive hobby! Thank you so much for watching.
Are you still happy with the tripod ? My Manfrotto died due to a huge list of issues and now I need a new rig
Yes I love it. It’s been great. If you decide to buy it, please use my link in the description.
@@JaminTaylor no problem at all, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't know about it. Image my shock when I saw the cracks in the manfroto CF legs and housing after only 5 years
Instructions unclear... I deep fried my set-up 😂
LOL
