Thank you for a great video, Lisel! I'm pretty much a beginner but I realized I can make something beautiful and unique with even my limited skill. Does the 10% shrinkage allow the cz to stay in the lentil? Thanks again for the clear instruction.
Hi Carla, because of the hole that Lisel created for the cz to nestle into, the shrinkage will not be a problem for the placement of the cz. Hope this helps!
Hi Deborah, we do not recommend firing EZ960 with a fiber blanket. Pieces that require support should be fired in a ceramic bowl with alumina hydrate. Hope this helps!
Great video thanks. I think I watched you do another video for a lentil bead but you used slip to join the two sides together. Why did this not need any slip this time ?
Hi Derin, Lisel first uses a drill which can be found here: www.cooltools.us/Metal-Clay-Drill-Set-6pc-p/drl-202.htm For setting the cz, she uses a pin vice that you can find here: www.cooltools.us/Pin-Vice-Swivel-Top-p/hol-101.htm combined with a 3mm stone setting bur which is here: www.cooltools.us/Stone-Setting-Burs-p/drl-301-p.htm Hope this helps!

I also wondered what kept the cz from falling out. I did notice it had raised quite a bit from firing.

Yes, thank you, it does answer my question. I figured the shrinkage must have allowed the cz to stay without glue.
How was the lentil fired? On a fiber blanket? I have experienced it sagging when fired, Was it fired flat? or standing up?

Do you clean the lube of the tools after each session?
Hi Linda, as long as you do not use another type of metal with your tools, you do not need to clean in between each session. Hope this helps!
What is the tool you used to set your cz and where can i find one?
