Thank you sir for preserving history . Way too many modernized vintage muscle these days. Love that you are concerned with restoring the original accessories too.
I had a silver 1970 R/T SE Challenger, with a black top, 440 Six Pack and 4-speed. I didn't know they were that rare. The AAR and T/A cars had special rear leaf springs that raised the rear for rake and for additional ground clearance for the side exit exhaust.
@@moparkeith1 I got it in November, 1977, when I was in high school. It had been extensively hot rodded when I got it. The cast iron Six Pack intake and carbs were in the trunk and it had an Edelbrock CH-4B intake with an 850 Holley on it, with Lakewood ladder bars welded to the 4.10 Dana 60 rear.
@@moparkeith1 I think some of the rarest 440 Six Pack cars were the few 1970 models that came with aluminum intake manifolds. The 1970 aluminum 6-barrel intake manifold was a different casting from the 1969 and had a different part number. They were early 1970 only and only delivered to "warm weather" states. The only evidence I've seen of them is that it looks like all of them were delivered to Florida. It is not a leftover 1969 intake, but a 1970 model intake. They may have been developed as a service replacement for the 1969, or just an improvement for 1970. It's possible that any over the counter aluminum intake after 1970, might be the same as the rare factory installed 1970 intake. A factory car would likely have to be an early 1970 that was sold in Florida. The 1969 and early 1970 6-barrel carbs were defective in that they suffered from internal leakage. A lot of people just swapped them for 4-barrels, but there was a service bulletin and maybe a recall for them. None of the 340 6-barrel carbs had that problem and the late 1970 and 1971 440 6-barrel carbs did not have the problem. The replacement carbs don't have that problem either.
Great job on the E-Bodies. It still amazes me how many T'A's and AAR's have the standard gauges and not the Rallye dash as part of the package, as they are so unique they deserved it.

Looking good. mine doesn't have power disc brakes up front. interior looks great.
So many of these high power cars have low power brakes
Super nice Challenger
It was a long time coming but she turned out amazing
She's beautiful

They built them fast and put in whatever was available on the production line that's why most are standard gauges
Wow, that's awesome !
I appreciate it!
