Mercedes is one of the most funniest contestant I have ever seen on Let's Make a Deal, plus, she also won the big deal worth $8,582 in prizes!!

Wow I didn't realize how old this show is! I've really grown to love the Wayne Brady edition.

I agree, the new(er) format is dumb. Too long, too many traders (the whole audience shouldn't be the traders) and only one person gets to go for the Big Deal??
If others love the new show great, but it ain't for me. (Please don't criticize or put me if you disagree. We all have a right to our own opinions.)

This is how much money Monty Hall offered the couple for each item during that car game in today's dollars:
The ham: ($150 in 1971 dollars) $929.11 in today's dollars.
The clock: ($250 in 1971 dollars) $1,548.52 in today's dollars.
    The blanket: ($350, $400 and $450 in 1971 dollars) $2,167.92, $2,477.63 and $2,787.33 in today's dollars.
    The shaver: ($550, $600, $700, $800, $850, $900, and $1,000 in 1971 dollars) $3,406.74, $3,716.44, $4,335.85, $4,955.26, $5,264.96, $5,574.66, and $6,194.07 in today dollars.
So...in today's dollars, Monty offered them everything from $929.11 to $6,194.07. Quite a jump! Quite a jump and they still had the guts to go all the way and win...that...car!
I got all the information from www.dollartimes.com/calculators/inflation.htm. Inflation can be wonderful once you understand it.

You know what would have been fun. Monty Hall dressed up in a costume. Picture him as a clown or a farmer or an astronaut. It would have definitely been must watch T.V. lol.

1971-72 syndicated season, the first syndicated season, this seems to be from. Fall and Winter 1971 is the Spiegel catalog cover shown during the first deal. 11/28/2002 was THanksgiving 2002, when the Feast of Favorites gimmick aired that year, as it did for several THanksgivings.
