The first Earthen class im going to level is going to be a paladin. I just hope Prot Paly is going to get some buffs in the near future, I never played them in beta but from what I've heard they arent looking great.
So they ticked up their damage, which feels great. Unfortunately with the recent tank nerfs they kinda get smacked around and with reduce self heals they kinda took away what made prot tanky. I imagine we could get a buff to word of glory and be a spikey tank.
To be honest they are currently in last with obvious fixes. I have complete faith that they will get a word of Glory buff or something that will bring them to great 👍🏻
Can you elaborate a bit on how to work the lightsmith ability into the rotation? I've tried a few different ways but don't think I'm really using it as intended. Is it just as simple as keeping it on cool down and accepting sometimes you'll have the defensive buff and sometimes you'll have the offensive buff as you keep it on cooldown?
@@WoWatNight so I cast the shield version on my self and it ticks down and then I cast the sword version and it ticks down the converts to the shield version?
@@SmooreMC85 it swaps on cast and you can have up to two charges of it. So if you have them both, you can cast it twice and have both of the buffs up at once, one doesn't replace the other. There's also a talent that puts the Offensive buff on Avenging Wrath as well, and as far as I can tell that doesn't stack with the offensive buff from holy armament (since they're the same thing) so look out for that so you don't waste it.
Very nice, informative video. I'm new and I can't decide between ret or protection paladin. Does protection paladin have to use a shield? Does that make it more effective or is it fine to go with a 2 hander?
@@vonhellman like they've said its sword and board (or mace or axe). But it is fun to super hero land on a mob from your mount pop wrath and sling hammers before you hit the ground.

@Aliodor I'm loving my Prot Paly atm. Running Templar for mine, and it's putting out a ton of dps for a tank. Soloing delves is also a breeze.

Yup, it indeed is that simple. Kind of underwhelming!

They just swap every time you cast
