I have a dol-101 I install the xeno gc on it but it give me the error with the console check the GameCube manual I swapped to a dol-001 everything good any tip about ?

That's odd. Should work with the DOL-101. Perhaps one bad connection?

Is the red light suppose to stay on?

Yes, after if flashes a few times it will stay on.
