- Incredibles lead trumpet excerpt Ryan Brewer
Staff Sgt. Ryan Brewer, member of The U.S. Army Field Band and co-creator of Military Trumpet Jobs, performs the lead trumpet part from Music from The Incredibles, by Michael Giacchino/arr. Matthew Morse. This piece is full of high notes, shakes (or lip trills), and other effects and is performed frequently by bands, and could be requested for auditions for a commercial/lead trumpet spot in a military band.
Audio/Video editing by Ryan Brewer.
Audition tips: Internalize the surrounding parts and play this lead trumpet part right in the pocket, it's a medium swing jazz waltz. You don't have to play that loud. Panels will be looking for good time, fat sound, flexibility, range, and commercial/jazz style. Hopefully this gives you a little insight on how to win an audition!

Outstanding tone and vibrato in the high register. Teach me lol
Thanks, and I’d be happy to! You can reach me on IG/Facebook for my contact info.
Thanks man
Hitting those high d notes like they're nothing, great performance!
Everytime I feel like I've nailed my high D I come back to this video and keep practicing
High D’s are not difficult for someone playing more than like 3 years. If they are, then you are doing something wrong.
@clawboss2028 stfu, not everyone can be as good as you. Why would you even comment this? It's not necessary, he was just complimenting the man.
@@clawboss2028 dude lol
@@traftonstakes1553 yes?
THAT WAS AMAZING
Thanks!
The actual recording makes the higher notes sound SUPER high for some reason. Great playing!
It's all Wayne Bergeron. Completely in the tone. You can play with it with your voice actually. "ooo" sounds (and is, technically) lower than "eee" and lead players strive for that EEE :)
Thank you for serving our country. Today is the 4th of July and we owe it to all the armed forces.
We appreciate your support!
Not the Ryan Brewer I was searching for, but this'll do.
This should be a theme for a whole nation...
Every bit as “legit” an excerpt to master as any other! Superb playing, Staff Sgt. Brewer!
he makes it look so effortless, lots of practice!
I wish I could play like that as you nailed it.
Top notch 💯💪🏾
bro those notes are insane, i can barely hit the A at the beginning 🥲
That was pretty good
Pitch perfect 👌
Interesting he uses 3rd valve for high a, I always thought it was 1+2
It is 1+2.I’ve seen quite a few trumpeters do that. My guess is intonation. Personally my A above staff is more in tune with the third valve.
this is kinda uncanny
😐
Get this man a burger king crown
Shakes are crazy
Musste ganze zeit an ted denken 🤣
People who know😊
Can’t believe this became a trend on tiktok lmao
Bro had a vision
Clean lip trill
What mouth piece 5?
This guy is playing the horn like it's not even on his face 😅 ... I quit 🎺🎶
He looks sad when he plays
Looking in the mirror while you play will ensure you won't play long. All the lips do is buzz like the read on a woodwind instrument, nothing more
I can assure you, I'm not!
@@MaynardFreek yeah I’ve been playing for 4 years, and nothing my directors have told me works, only my lesson teachers helped me adjust it to my comfort
great hobby you have little big more practice needed for job
How canny.
