@@daihernandez3796 I actually play trumpet professionally and go to college for marching; specifically majoring in music's teaching. I've been playing since I was a kid my main instruments is bayan, érhu, trumpet, and guitar. I can play Eb in a double octave pretty straight so my range finds a well high range. But again that's just me personally.
@RedGamingg-ju1iz ohhhh that's really cool. Idk what that note is yet but it's really high right? Could you help me with my range by telling me how I could improve my range on the trumpet with the sound as well, I'm a junior in highschool and I've been trying to improve my range for a year now and I still don't know what to do. I can only play a low D flat below C and up to F or F# above the bar with good sound but not for long, and I get tired easily so my range and endurance are trash. I'm also in marching band and it's my 2nd year doing it, it's fun and I think I'll do it in college as well. But if you do, thank you for taking the time and helping me
if you wanna play high notes well you have to practice and get a really good embechoure if you have a good one all it is after that is the speed of your air (you have to shoot it out with a really small space between your tongue and the roof of your mouth while pushing out air from your diaphrame) a good mouthpiece (what mouthpiece depends on the person) will also help you hit high notes. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure this is how it works. currently my highest note is a double c but that's after 4 years of playing and a couple months of actually practicing. I need to hit double d by the end of the month but I can barely hit out an a at the end of our show 😥
This was great. Thank you to the Lead Trumpet for doing this. I went to the DCI show in Malden, MA back in the 90's and was on the field shooting pics. All of the kids in the band are fantastic.
I think this particular year they played King SB10 trumpets (the OG system blue horns, before they switched to the Chinese built ones). Currently, hornlines sponsored by Conn-Selmer (King marching brass) are using Strads for their trumpet lines.

You tried get Davis’s Head cam on this?
Coston Brusaders
As a trumpet player, playing this high while marching is absolutely insane to me.
It gets easier because of the pressure but hard because of the absolute no air in your lungs
@RedGamingg-ju1iz can you play high notes really well and how long have you been playing for??

damn glad to see people still interested in this like 8 years later
My dad was in the blue devils in 1998 I love watching these videos
Sometimes, I wish I was an air molecule. Just so that i would have a chance at being flung into Javier's lungs before that A. Man I love DCI.
4:20 solo sounds so sweet
I've waited 6 years for this...
I am on my knees begging (politely doe) for a Blue Devils 2017 Euphonium transcription
i needs it
Young man you went got that c sharpe with no breath ohhhh to be young again great job bravo bravo
I didnt even know all those high notes were possible 😭
My lips hurt from thinking of even trying to play those notes
@@AmazingErrChannel same 😭
Alot of practice
Thought the same 4 years ago and now I can finally play it
It comes with time I was able to hit those Gs by my junior year in HS but quit shortly afterwards. Still regretting that decision.
Ok but the fitness of all the players???? Everyone is running around the field blowing their lungs out at like 5% body fat. Incredible
tends to happen when you live in a gym and practice 12+ hours a day for months with your dci group
clarity: a school gymnasium
I had to count the lines😭
After like the 3rd one I'm out here guessing 😭
@@therealnocommonsense I only know up to 4 lines and after that it’s double takes on every note

Javier ❤️🎺🎺

Still always shocked on how he makes it look so easy (I need to practice)
I can't even play a high A on a normal basis, just sitting down. How is this possible 😭😭
What horns do dci lead trumpets typically play?
Most common ones I know ppl march on are strad's or xeno's

I feel my lips falling off reading that music 😰😱
No gloves… nice
What mouthpiece are you using?
Pretty sure Javier plays on a 3c
Double B at 6:12 is crazy

I now just noticed that, let's just pretend the measure doesn't exist
that chromatic up to dub g is insane. wait, that's not dub g.

Why they shirtless?
The run was probably during a rehearsal. It usually pretty hot and they don't need to wear uniforms during most rehearsals
@@therealnocommonsense Makes sense, It looked like there was an audince though. Wish my director let us go shirtless. That Texas heat kills us!
