Aww poor little fella. Good to see a smile back on Jack's face at the end! We're kind of on the fence about a Sat phone, you tend not to need one until you do. So we probably will. But you are right, it's another thing to buy! Another great episode, thanks! 🙏🏻 Cheers Annette 🥂
Yeah agree you hope you'll never need it but its just another 'thing' too. We don't go remote ALL of the time so its a big expense for something we don't use often. Especially if people know where we are. Cheers!
So pleased our little fella Jack is feeling better. Great footage guys. Try and get a sponsor for a satellite phone. Definitely a must when exploring the Australian outback especially with kids. That one time when you need it, you will swear it was the best investment you ever made especially when it saves a life. Hugs to you all. Steff, Ivan and the furkids.
The car was still runnings and it has the ability to lock as well so they are safe. ☺️ We don’t do it often but sometimes it works for us. Jack didn’t want to leave the car this day being unwell and he was happy there. Thanks for tuning in ☺️
This is the kind of adventure i love, can be really dangerous or really fun! I also use Hema maps (usa) and carry a SAT phone, but i have had to use my drone a few times to see ahead and help me out... poor little Jack hope he gets better soon! yall be safe! 👍
Love the vid guys! Mad footage. I know bills add up but do consider Sat phone is cheap insurance. It can be a life saver esp with little kids. As the very least do consider a PLB. An emergency Would easily justify your investment. Good luck and stay safe!
Spectacular part of the world, Drones are one of the best tools for 4wding now. Accidents always come in 3 so you should be all good now 😆😆 Got lost in the mangroves at Whim Creek, had the SES come looking for us. Not my best moment but thankful. Glad it was only Tonsillitis
Thanks Sean! What we’re the 3 though? Jack and getting lost? 🧐🧐 Oh my goodness that would of been interesting! We’ve just come past Whim Creek. Glad you got out safely 😊🙌🏻 Catch you next week!

That was good. Really enjoyed that video. I would love to do that drive you were on but am too old and not fit enough to do it anymore. Kind of living through your adventures until we get released from home detention in Melbourne. Sian at the first part of the video sounded like a real outback Jillaroo. You are a lucky man to have married a cowgirl. I did a long time ago and it has been a great 40 or so years (yeah I cant remember exactly how long but what can I say. Lucky to remember her birthday let alone anniversary). Good to see Jack is on the mend.
Haha John, you sound like a good bloke! And your willing to admit to the forgotten date as well, that in itself says how good your relationship must be ☺️👍🏻 cheers mate!
Loved this episode. We did this trip 2 years ago and got lost as well! Loved the track and scenery. Felt a heap for little Jack.and his tonsils. You guys give us so much joy and enthusiasm for more travel! Brilliant
We had it off for a few days to see what it was like while we were waiting for a new one (it looks naked hey!!). Rhino-Rack gave us a new one as part of the deal when we were doing a promotional video for them ☺️

Haha I also get lost in the supermarket!! Thank goodness the layout doesn’t change much between the shops or I’d be forever looking too! He didn’t get them removed thankfully, just lots of Panadol (which he hated lol)
We mentioned in the beginning voice over that we did this track twice as the first time we hurried when Jack got sick. Once alone and once with the other car.

Yes EPIRB's are a great edition to have i think!
What have you used with the crack in the windscreen??
