Removal Crane and Installation 1,600mt Huisman Leg Encircling Crane on the Aeolus of Van Oord

The 1,600mt Huisman Leg Encircling Crane onboard Van Oord's offshore installation vessel "Aeolus" was recently successfully taken into service. The vessel was overhauled by a consortium of Dutch companies (Damen, Mammoet and Huisman) to allow the installation of a new crane, the biggest Leg Encircling Crane ever built. This 1,600mt crane will enable Van Oord to install bigger and heavier foundations and turbines for offshore wind farms.
