  • Huisman China installed, commissioned and tested the 3,000mt Offshore Mast Crane onboard Boskalis’ Bokalift 1 within 27 days. This was way ahead of the planning. The Bokalift 1 crane Vessel was converted by Boskalis from a semi-submersible heavy lift vessel to a self-propelled crane vessel. The main focus of the vessel will be the installation of jackets, monopiles and offshore wind turbines.

Great video...that block is just a test weighting guess,to prove it can lift that weight, before they hand over the payment..

It's a pontoon that can be filled with water for overload testing. Every crane has an overload tolerance it must be able to achieve.

SkyHook has its SUPERRRR Ballast on, meaning we're talking a serious lift.

You're not allowed to weld anything to the crane because you could weaken it by doing so. It doesn't have anything to do with the construction of the crane. It's for in the future as it is common to weld cargo to the deck to secure it.

@@bigredc222 mostly yes. It's common to weld items to the deck to secure them in position. Search Seafastening and grillages.
