OMG! It's a crimson diablos!! Just when i though black diablos was annoying enough...they have a fricking crimson one.... Name of this diablos variation is ヴァルサブロス / Varusaburosu~ (Valsablos?) 赤ディアブロス (Red diablos)
+SilverSkiver According to the Monster Hunter wiki, it migrated to a harsh volcanic environment due to a drought/food shortage in its normal habitat(deserts/savannas). A harsher territory requires a hardier creature, and thus the valsablos was born. There is also a cactus that is specific to that region that valsablos cannot seem to resist. My interpretation: Diablos are known to be herbivores despite their aggressive natures. In the desert, water is a resource that is heavily contested due to scarcity. Smaller creatures can make due with the minuscule amount of liquids in grasses, and any condensation found in the early morning collected either on themselves or plant life, but for most large desert plant-eaters cacti would be a highly sought food-source , as they provide ample water as well as many nutrients. This would logically give diablos a lot of competitors for their meal of choice, hence its natural aggressiveness. Survival of the fittest - or meanest, in this case - won out, and there are not many monsters currently living in the deserts that can compete. Diablos most likely forced its competitors for food to either go extinct or evolve to live elsewhere simply due to becoming bigger and badder. The valsablos also is likely to deal with competition for the cactus in the harsh volcanic region, as with that harsh of a place even carnivores would be seeking any source of water they could get to. So, the diablos moving into the area not only had to evolve to withstand far hotter temperatures(and more constant heat) than their former homes, but also had to get even tougher and meaner than they already were to compete with any and all large monsters native to the area. the bonesauce MHO isn't amazing but frontier is, maybe too difficult for the 80% of players but it's amazing. The abilities, the weapons, the new monsters... But it can't get into steam because it is paid every month to play G.

Guarding does have it's place in Frontier, although it is generally less efficient. There's an armor skill that makes it so that blocking causes the monster to take the damage instead, which me and a bunch of other Lancers used to use a lot. But outside of that Evasion is generally the better idea.
To all the people who dont know what monster this is: It's some kind of subspecies of the Back Diablos, based of the textures of Diablo from the game Diablo III i believe. Atleast that's what I've read.

If this was ever released for ps4, xbox one, and the PC in the west, I think it would sell so many copies. I would personally recommend every last single soul on my PSN friends list to pick this game up on day one! Alas I guess in the eyes of the creators, the frontier series doesn't seem like it'll do too well in terms of sales over here. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed playing 4u on the 3ds, but when I see videos such as this it just reminds me of the true potential of the franchise if given the proper platform. I'm still hoping though that one day we'll get a monster hunter title for current gen consoles, and the PC in the west :) Also as a side note. I wouldn't mind spending $10 - $15 a month for a monster hunting experience such as this. But that's just me, because I know a lot of people would disagree with some sort of online subscription based fee.
Well mh4u does have it's own difficulty such as using wystones to deal with them but in frontier sure the monsters attacks are awesome and I would also live to try this game out but the other reason the monsters aren't as Hard in 4u is because the skills u can get in frontier are ridiculously op like how this guy looked like he had perm moxie on but let's look at the bright side hardcore monsters are finally going to be a thing in the new mh generation's that's comming later this year :D

+sweaterman yo That orb is a, let's call it, "Infernal Fruit/Seed" (idk), when Varu eats it.. he enters Rage mode, you can grab that "orb" and toss it around so he doesn't eats it right at the beginning (although he'll eat it eventually) because otherwise, like in this video, he'll be 90% of the quest in Rage Mode.. and that's not good..

Please look carefully 0:53 7:18 Valsblos eats after he throws up fruit in the air. Player roll fruit and hand it to other players (motion 0:41) before he charges. Need not transporter skill. I think that it is impossible to continue escaping with fruit alone even if there is transporter skill. (Valsablos is too fast and Cactus fruit gives heavy damage to a player every uniformity time)

If you watch carefully the horns are different
The regular Diablos's horns sprout from above the eyes while this one's are from below. And the angle are different too. Can't you tell?

So in monster frontier there is no point in guarding. Evade and invincible frames are the key to surviving.

It is a separate monster, it's similarity to diablos is due to the it sharing the same ancestral line as monoblos and diablos.
